  • Mike Port's 450 Stearman biplane restoration after 5 year project. First flight by Addison Pemberton 10/17/2010. Aircraft departed and went through 3.5 hours of total test flying time. Video is highlights of the day.

    Maybe its just me but the landing gear looks taller and wider than the stock Boeing Stearman gear, was that done on purpose? I've heard that these stearmans are prone to ground looping with their tall, narrow gear.

    Nuttin like 100% more power to cause silly grins. What does she indicate with 1,750 r.p.m. and 26 inchs. Over 100???? .... Thats one "jim Dandy" airplane. Crikey,I just looked in a mirror and Ive turned GREEN.
