When it first came out. It was designed to compete with the Mercedes SL roadsters, and it did very well. In that regard. The resale is very low right now, because all of the parts are hard to find, and are expensive. Give it time though, and that car will be a collectable classic. It is a great looking car. That looks new even today.

@@familyfirst7027 The engine is solid so you can completely tear it down and build it backup. Luckily I can do that work myself. If you completely strip it down and put it back the right way you have one heck of a car. It has been done already.
My neighbor bought a rebuilt car couple years ago which i told her not to. She went to go trade in week ago they laughed her out of the parking lot. Looked same as did when she bought it just more miles thats even after she spent 2k replacing transmission. She learned her lesson the hard way.

Headlights and taillights alone are worth huge on an xlr. Brand new headlights going for $6,500 only available at one location on ebay. Those look in good shape even used those lights alone worth $10k+ easy
