Little Caesar's Arena - Aerial time lapse - Beginning to end of construction

- The final video of my drone arena construction project. Drawing upon all of my videos going back to June 2015 when it was half a hole in the ground, all the way to September 2017 when the arena has been opened.
It should be noted the difference in quality toward the beginning of the video to the end. The original videos were filmed with a Yuneec Q500 drone. The rest on a DJI Phantom 4 which is significantly better in not only video quality, but every other conceivable facet.
Thanks for all of the views and likes and shares these past 2+ years. I hope everyone found this interesting and enjoyable.

I have so much love and respect for the City of Detroit. They went through a lot in recent decades, including the Great Recession. But 15 years later, thanks to examples like Little Caesars Arena and more, Detroit is coming back to live slowly but surely. I'm proud of the hard work for the Motor City, and for the great state of Michigan.
Little Caesars arena is 6 years old 😮 man time flies I remember when this thing was still brand new
The night shot at the end is amazing.
Thanks!
Nice video
Next level in arenas. Awesome job!!
Awesome arena!
I'm a member of a few online survey panels and one of the surveys I recall doing involved choosing that Little Caesars logo on the roof of this stadium. This was actually one of the designs I chose in the survey, most of them looked similar with the only difference being the lettering. I'm glad they put the mascot up on the roof like that though, it looks pretty cool. I have yet to visit this beast of a building but it's on my list, especially since I work for Little Caesars.
It looks small but if you come in this arena is very large and more capacity for all fans nice job to all engineers 👍
Been watching these from the first one you posted. Awesome work over the few years!
Thank you for watching. I appreciate it.
awesome love little CV Caesar since I was a kid
Amazing! Could you do something similar to this for the Hudson's Site and/or Monroe Blocks in Detroit?
Potentially. Its a matter of time and commitment. Currently focused on making Joe Louis Arena teardown videos for this channel. Also have interest in the Gordie Howe Bridge project.
beautiful
I liked the video and I go for the leafs.....also I'm in the mood for pizza now.....lol:)
I never been inside Little Caesars Arena. Hopefully i will go to the Detroit Red Wings game. The Detroit Pistons game. Concerts and so much more. Beautiful Arena inside and out. The workers done a good job for Building this Arena. Job well done for building this beautiful facility and we thank you for your hard work.
What,s going to happen with Joe Louis ????????
They're tearing it down and redeveloping the site.
@@supadoopa926 maybe they will redevelop.

Any Supporters of the Palace of Auburn Hills are watching this?
PIZZAARENA! 😂
um, it's the Dough Joe :D
Is there pizza here or they just gave it that name ?
Theres actually pizza there
No, there's no pizza within a 75 mile radius of an arena named after a pizza chain FOUNDED and HEADQUARTERED in downtown Detroit.
Ofcoursrme
O My galaxy 😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😑😑😑😑
If you build it no one will come. Thanks to both lackluster teams and the outrageous ticket prices.
I bet the Pistons owner didnt even ask Detroit for money to help build. Not even worth asking
$324,000,000
@@kikbakgaming812 we'll nevermind loll
It's no Joe Louis Arena.....
I think it's a very stupid name.
neolightproductions Well, they put up the cash for the naming rights. What are ya gonna do? Lol
There's a reason for it's name. Olympia Entertainment operates the Arena. Olympia Entertainment is a subsidiary of Ilitch Holdings. Ilitch Holdings was founded by the late Mike Ilitch would owned the Detroit Tigers, Detroit RedWings, and founded the successful pizza chain "Little Caesars".
I understand if you don't like the naming rights. But honestly, it make total sense.
IMO, if we had to keep Little Caesars as part of name it wouldve been better to call it the Little Caesars Center (or Coliseum), not arena. But I personally felt a more traditional name that pays homage to some of the old hockey arenas would've been a better choice. Something like:
Woodward Garden
Motor City Coliseum
The Forum Detroit
Detroit Garden
But, we have to live with it being called the Big Pizza or The Oven. haha
Whining about the name is what's very stupid.
And your a TOOL!!!!!!!!!!! For disliking the Name,s Arena.
They should’ve kept the joe Louis arena tbh the name of this one is so idiotic ..
You know they don't choose the name right?
They get paid a shit ton to allow companies to put their name on the arena.
Whoever paid most probably gets it.
That just so happened to be Little Caesars here.
(It's like $200M-$400M for naming rights. That half-funds the arena right then and there. If only that money were put towards that, rather than lining corporate pockets. Oh well :/)
Meikkhaell lmAO You didn’t have to write a whole paragraph lol sorry that you didn’t like my opinion!
Meikkhaell in fact I didn’t even say that they could’ve chose a better name lol I said the name is idiotic
Whining about the name and not understanding how corporate naming rights work is what's idiotic.
Its not idiotic because the owner of the red wings also owns the Little Caesars Pizza chain so it made perfect sense. No hate btw I was just giving u the actual reason, not bc they paid for it.
much bigger, great job!! go Detroit!!!
This arena is where the pistons play now
Really enjoyed these videos you took of the arena construction. You should consider doing updates of other major construction projects around the city if you have the time for it.
Those night shots are epic!
Thanks!
Nice building. Both teams suck!
First. Niiiice work man, thanks for doing this!
Danke. Anytime brah
Hey guys - I'd love to use maybe 20 seconds of your footage for a video Im putting together on my other channel (Culturama) - please let me know if that is cool. if not - no worries. Great work!
With attribution, sure.
Deal! :) thank you
I ended up not using it...i ran out of space to fit it in! oh well. :) But I have a new project in the future it might be perfect for...I'll be sure and credit when I work on that project. cheers
Why not one perspective and without cuts?
Because this was done over 2 years and I didn't have a good way of doing it from one spot. Besides, there is a time lapse from 1 spot and no cuts on the District Detroit website.
New Wings Arena ok sadly, but thanks for the upload
I thought Detroit had no money ?
I thought Google worked globally.
Britmatt Don't believe everything the media tells you
The Ilitch family Owners of Little Caesar's paid for this.
Vincent Cheatham I know the son
@@vincentcheatham1844 so did the taxpayers
Lame name for a hockey arena. It's sickening how in sports instead of using money to keep legendary arenas going, they want to waste money on new pointless arenas. I also can't wait to see what will be where the Silverdome once stood.
Joe Grzesiak costs a lot to fix arenas up, so why not just big a new one.
Jeremy Jackson it may cost a lot to fix up an arena but it's cheaper to keep the Joe running, than building a new arena. I just think Little Caesars is a terrible name for a arena. I will always be a fan of the Joe.
Joe Grzesiak The only arena not sponsored is Madison Square Garden
What does being a "fan" of The Joe have to do with the name of this arena, or the fact that The raggedy ass Joe needed to be replaced? Just because you loved it doesn't mean it was still a suitable home for the Wings, but, hey, since you love the arena more than the hockey team, go camp out on them steep ass, broken stairs all you like. It's still there...
@@careyconley4690 I applaud👏👏👏
My ears hurt from that music.
Try taking your fingers and jamming them into them.
Go wsh boo Detroit
stfu
As far as MO-Town in concerned this "arena" was a total waste of time, and most important a huge waste of MONEY!!!
The Red Wings needed a new arena, so you clearly have no "idea" what you're talking about.
+Carey Conley if they needed a new arena why couldn't the red wings pay and the illitch family pay for it it themselves? ALOT of citizens taxes went into into the making of this building roughly 250 million+ that could of gone to roads of the schools etc
Because that's not how projects like this get done. Also, the money used to build the arena was from the DDA fund, which BY LAW must be used on projects downtown, not schools, roads, etc.
When you have an arena that is almost 40 years old and is falling apart I'm pretty sure there is a reason to build a new one.
I've been working there for a year and I love it!
