- Sheila E. had been playing conga drums since the age of three. Her father, Pete Escovedo, worked with Santana and led the Latin-jazz fusion band Azteca. She was discovered by Prince in 1984.
Sheila rocks. I'm always excited to see her play and she rarely disappoints. One of the best and most gracious.
Unbelievable groove! Wish I could play slaps like that. Sheila is amazing - end of story.
So true thanks for the lesson Sheila..🙂
Oh man, Sheila E. is the best! 😎👍🎯
She's just the best.
Damn i love Ms. E
Sheila JOINED Prince, but she was FAR from discovered by him. In FACT, she says when she met him he was like, " ... oh I KNOW WHO YOU ARE!" and had followed her career for years. She was a WELL-ESTABLISHED, sought-after session and touring musician.
That's why Prince always worked with her.
She was with George Duke in one of the best funk groups of all time in the 70s way before Prince
She Right y'all and righteous.
She's right!
Very true
She's hot and talented!
She takes my mind straight outta the gutter & makes me stand in awe of her wisdom & true talent. Though she is sexy, she is so much more...
una gran verdad!!! :)
She was not "discovered by Prince." She had already played with notable musicians such as Billy Cobham, George Duke, members of Santana, and Marvin Gaye LONG before Prince came along.
Real talk!!
100%
Synesthesia is the secret, I just wish I could apprehend music like colors... but I'm also an awful painter, at least I can chill out and like the sound !
IT'S VERY IMPORTANT! ,ISN'T IT?
