I'm glad you liked our old game. I spent many happy hours working on it back in 1990 along with musician and game designer Matt Furmiss and artist and game designer Dave College. I was 33 then and am 67 now. More than half a lifetime ago., Though it was released on the Acorn Archimedes first, that wasn't the first version to be developed. In fact it was developed on the ST first, then the Amiga, and finally the Acorn Archimedes where it was one of the most popular platformers on that platform! All the versions were coded by yours truly. Well done to the folks that managed to port it over to the Jaguar.
Man this looks nice! I like the bright colors but I see what you meant about the ST being more crisp whereas the Jaguar seems to bleed more which is too bad. It looks fun man! I was watching the more recent movie Sherlock Holmes and the enemy is Professor Mariarti so it made me think somehow this was related. Great review man and thanks for the shout out! Keep snagging up all these Jag games!
There's loads of interesting references in this game for it's time. There's even a dedicated section for Space Invaders. I haven't found all the Easter eggs yet
Hello friend, I had a question for you. I'd like to review this game but I can't seem to find a copy or ROM for Commando online. Do you know where I can acquire this?
@@krazproductions Only option is buying an existing one from one of the few who have it. Outside of that not much else you can do it’s a limited availability game that isn’t available on an emulator. That’s kind of why I said to review it because it’s one not many people have or know of.
I remember this on the Amiga, someone copied it for me. In return I lent him an issue of Zzzap magazine and he never returned it. Jimmy, give me my magazine back!
I almost got this. I thought well it kinda looks cool. It's got control complaints though and a colour problem. So it's worse than the original ST version and that one was originally the worst of the bunch. But still I thought looks kind of fun. Until I saw the price. I AM NOT PAYING 80 BUCKS FOR THAT. Ridiculous.
I pointed this out in a video and it got me kicked off a project because people from that community cried. They were not even paying Patreon's. How you gonna get offended making Mortal Kombat, a game where you kill everyone..... STOP USING THE 68000 it was added last minute and kills the Jaguar.
I personally am tired of this so someone else and myself have pledged an extra $50 apiece. If Rich Whitehouse house enters and wins the Jagjam fame comp. i've also extended the same offer personally to the author of Zaku for the Lynx. ruclips.net/video/dNddm4Qtc-Y/видео.htmlsi=KXClurFw6OtBdPyA

Looks like a cool game. Would love to see a lot of these Jaguar games come to the VCS

I almost bought it but not at the price being asked. Complete scam.
I played this game on the ST when I was young. I have been trying to find this game for along time but could never remember the name. Thank You!
That's very nice dude. I'm glad I could help in any way whatsoever 😀
Review Jaguar ST port of Commando!

@@krazproductions it’s never been dumped so the rom isn’t available
@@XboxAlive interesting. Who could I talk to to buy a copy then?

@@XboxAlive well, you've given me an item to hunt for and I'll consider this my official decision to do a review if I ever get my hands on it 😀

Czyli nie obrażając Jaguarowców, ale następna gra, która nie wykorzystuje jakichkolwiek możliwości konsoli oprócz tradycyjnego angażowania 68000 😎
Nie poczułem się urażony. To ważne stwierdzenie
Yeah well the community brings that on itself. They'd rather make fantasy artwork than help make anything happen. The community gets what it deserves.
