Saturn.Had both cartriges and CD.

The n64 has better graphics but it has a limited library. It also uses cartridges so it has worse memory. The Saturn has worse graphics but a very good library with there always being something to play. It also uses discs for better storage. So I would have to say the Saturn.

Seems like this game may not be as bad as most people make it out to be, especially once you get the hang of things

If the Jaguar had delayed itself and launched with the CD player included with the base Jaguar console and the six button controller and released games like Black Ice / White Noise as a launch title and other games like Alien Vs Predator and Tempest 2000 and Ultra Vortek and others at launch, the Jaguar would have done A LOT better than it did. Instead, they launched it holiday season of 1993 (November 1993) with only THREE games and then had a huge game drought till March / April 1994. (then only TWO games released during March / April 1994) and then they had another game drought till August 1994. In other words, they only had FIVE games from November 1993 till the very beginning of August 1994. That was a huge mistake and they should have never launched the console during holiday season 1993. And even then, most of the 1994 releases didn't come out till December 1994. Due to this HUGE problem with software droughts... Delay the Jaguar till mid to late 1995 and try get Black Ice/ White Noise fully ready for a 1995 Jaguar (with CD and six button controller included) release, with other games like Alien Vs Predator, Tempest 2000 and Ultra Vortek and others ready for launch. ALSO, Atari co-developed the Atari Jaguar version of NBA Jam: Tournament Edition. That game didn't come out till January 1996 for the Jaguar. Try to fast track that game to the holiday season 1995 since it will attract sports fans and place emphasis on how the Jaguar controller makes NBA Jam play better (it really does when it comes to pushing opponent characters down to the floor). Yes, the console is launching up against the new Sega Saturn and Playstation 1 during 1995, but the Jaguar would have done A LOT better than the measly 250,000 units it sold during it's entire lifetime by launching in a proper way during 1995 and not in a crap way during 1993.

I find the attacks your character does when walking are better than the attacks while standing still, they have a much greater reach.

I got the flash drive to work and the VCS updated properly. Downloaded a game and played with it today. Now - All of a sudden it is updating and stuck at 2/3 again. Do I repeat the process? How do I trust it won't just continue to do this? Would love some help.

I'm glad you liked our old game. I spent many happy hours working on it back in 1990 along with musician and game designer Matt Furmiss and artist and game designer Dave College. I was 33 then and am 67 now. More than half a lifetime ago., Though it was released on the Acorn Archimedes first, that wasn't the first version to be developed. In fact it was developed on the ST first, then the Amiga, and finally the Acorn Archimedes where it was one of the most popular platformers on that platform! All the versions were coded by yours truly. Well done to the folks that managed to port it over to the Jaguar.

When given the choice after pluggin the stick it has an option about the bios, is this also how i cab downgrade the bios so i can turn off the securities and access the ram settings? Or did somebody find a new password yet? Im struggling to find direct info about doing it in 2024 with any latest updates that would be with this new wave of users such as myself.

When I go to the Discord website shown on your screen, it shows "you have been invited to our Discord" with an "Accept Invite" button. Clicking that flashes & comes back "Whoops... Unable to accept invite" and has the same blue "Accept Invite" button. Clicking it just loops.

Did not work for me as I created a verified image with Ballena Etcher on the USB stick and stuck it in the USB front on the VCS and it did nothing as it went straight to the Atari Menu and did not work automatically. Very disappointed with this as I was hoping that it would work for me as I just got my VCS This Friday and was looking forward to using it and playing the games. Now I will be returning it next week back to Walmart!

Another reason to suggest Etcher is that it's cross platform.

thank you i just got my vcs yesterday and could not set it up due to update fails and not fetching data, it really was simple just downloading the files and flashed the system now it works just fine I appreciate you doing all the heavy lifting and hope atari will still support the vcs in terms of games and more down the road
