- Like so many before us, we have all idolized our favorite superheroes! For me, it has always been to be a Power Ranger, but not just any Power Ranger.
A Power Ranger unique to itself. That dream has come true with our project "Power Rangers: Operation Prototype". An unofficial entry to the Power Ranger fandom. A fan film project dedicated to replicating a mature series similar to an original Saturday morning episode!
As a thank you and a courtesy for any donation of $1 or more, your name will be included in the closing credits and all proceeds will not go to the company but rather the purchase of VFX and for future costumes.

For a bunch of film college students, you guys did a wonderful job. Had the check back in. The "Incompetent Ranger" threw me out. Hilarious!
We were hopeful to add enough comedy to appease older audiences, and it seems we nailed the goal! As we learn and grow, we plan to make these projects significantly better to the best of our abilities! And at a faster pace

This is a wonderful, exciting, entertaining, fun, cool movie, that I hope can be made into a series soon. I applaud everyone who worked on this awesome project, & I respect their commitment to bringing us all this fantastic episode!! Kudos everyone
We have already begun planning for episode 2. First film day is September 28th! Hopeful to release by May of next year (or sooner). These things take time.

@@bdonthenerd7050 we tried to get the film done before the deadline to submit at Morphicon but unfortunately didn't meet th deadline. I heard the event was great. We plan to try for 2026
So now I have this, Shattered Past, Rail Riders, Unworthy and I forgot what other Power Rangers fan series productions to look forward too.

Absolutely! As a retro collector, I actually own an almost complete library of Atari Jaguar titles. We plan to use them in the future for the film!

not a bad start! Maybe improve the fit on Green's suit and he's golden. I might try to invest a few bucks into this one, too. I don't have a lot of money but I like to drop some into these fun little escapes from the world.

We do have a GoFundMe in the description if you would like to contribute. Although it's not required, it's just there as an option.
As for the green suit, we actually just commissioned new gloves, new shoes and a helmet. If you made it all the way through the interview, somewhere closer towards the end, I discussed exactly why we had to cut some of the action scenes at the end. We weren't able to include the fight footage because during one of our stunts the helmet shattered and we had to work with the helmet while it was broken in some scene. Which was really difficult to film. So what we've done is we've actually commissioned two foam helmets specifically for stunts, and then of course a new 3D printed helmet

How is it a prototype if it is a morpher from after the Overdrive team left? They didn't have a green ranger, but simple logic would lead to the gymuess that Red was the actual prototype, since Hartford was willing to use it on himself. Therefore he must have started with red and refined it to be safe, then expanded the project. Green being an extra or backup doesn't make it a prototype.
The idea is that a new team of rangers is being made and these suits are upgrades. (Hence prototype. Also Operation Overdrive is a trademark, so we can't use that title without a copyright strike).
We have plans to create a series of new weapons and hopefully more color variations while also incorporating OC or Custom rangers into the story line.
This project is to give back to the fandom and build from what we can while still being respectful to the original source materials. We're always open to feedback so we can meet the requirements of fans and critics alike for this project. So please keep the questions and theories coming! Thank you in advance for the support and the critique!

@@nightwing995 Beetleborgs Apocallix was a dedicated film to help bring sort of closure to fans of the original franchise. Although, not cannon, the project received favorable results and as such will continue to honor those interested in the project still.
