I’m still thinking part of the story with the Toy Maker will be related to the modern day toys: Video Games. I wouldn’t be surprised if an episode had a reveal like The Librarians and the Point of Salvation.
This could be a great opportunity to see Susan again in some way, I thought they were gonna do that for the 50th... I won't get my hopes up tho 🤔😶 -Adam
"What?" That was some good editing. I just assumed NPH would perform a musical number. As you mentioned, a lot of those images just look like they come from a musical. 14 completing his transformation into the Timelord Victorious, he actually becomes the Toymaker. And that's why they know each other so well. Then, when he is ultimately defeated by Donna (it has to be Donna), the malevolent part is somehow filtered out and he regenerates into 15. But that malevolence remains and is distilled into the Valeyard. The problem I set up for myself, though: How is the Toymaker there fighting 14? Because shut up, timey wimey, that's why. See, this is why I don't like to speculate. My brain just goes way too far, and in the end I'm just not that clever.
14 being a villain holds some weight. If anyone has seen the DW indents that the BBC released this week. Tennant looks strangely Kilgrave (from Jessica Jones) levels of sinister
Here the predictions that I have so far 1. River Song will return and she and The Doctor will go on the adventure that involved a picnic at Asgard which she mentioned when he first met her in The Library. The fact that we later get to see “the crash of The Byzantium” in Time Of The Angels suggests to me that “the picnic at Asgard” was an adventure that was initially intended to be shown on screen but never was, and now would seem to be the perfect opportunity to do so, given that 14 having 10’s face offers a convenient way around the plot hole that would otherwise be created by a version of River from before The Husbands Of River Song, which established that she she wasn’t aware of any incarnations after 11, meeting a version of The Doctor from after that episode. If she never realised that 14 was a future incarnation of The Doctor rather than a past incarnation, then that would also neatly explain why she was expecting 10 to recognise her in Silence In The Library. 2. Rose is indeed part time lord, and furthermore, she has the ability to regenerate, which is exactly what will happen when she transforms into none other than The Doctor’s new companion Ruby Sunday. Given that Rose has been confirmed to be transgender, it can be inferred that she wasn’t born with that name (which debunks an earlier theory that I had that Donna had some sort of subconscious memory of the events of Turn Left which led her to name her daughter after a certain other character named Rose), so if she’s already adopted a different name once to reflect a radical change to her appearance, then it would make perfect sense for her to do so again, possibly taking inspiration from the fact that rubies are red, just like roses, and Sunday is traditionally a day of worship, which is the purpose of a temple. 3. Following on from the above theory, Rose’s time lord DNA will also be used to explain why she looks like she’s in her late teens in what is presumably 2023, despite the fact that she was clearly born after the events of The End Of Time, which was set in 2010. It’s been shown on several different occasions, most notably with River in the flashback at the start of Let’s Kill Hitler, that time lords can sometimes age at a similar rate to humans, despite normally aging much slower, so it stands to reason that they can also age faster than humans. 4. The Doctor’s clothes “regenerating” along with her in the previous episode will be revealed as a natural part of the first regeneration in each new regeneration cycle, since the same thing happened during his first regeneration all the way back in The Tenth Planet. 11 may have claimed in The Time Of The Doctor that he was the “true” 13th Doctor due to his regeneration into The War Doctor and the regeneration that created The DoctorDonna (which is obviously going to be referenced anyway in the specials), but we know from The Timeless Children that he was never subject to the 12 regeneration limit in the first place, so if he was wrong about that, then maybe he was wrong about all of his past faces counting as full regenerations too. Obviously it would make sense if the regeneration in Journey’s End didn’t count after all, so if either the regeneration which was triggered by the elixir of life in The Night Of The Doctor or the one ghat was for ed on The Doctor by the time lords in The War Games also didn’t count, then that would make the latest regeneration the first in a new cycle of 12.

Characters that I hope Russell brings back are the rani and the valeyard. It’s about time we got those characters back. Also I would love Russell to continue some previous storylines such as the midnight entity. I know it’s better as a mystery but I would love to know more at least.
I have the sneaking suspicion that the Clown named Clara in the Celestial Toymaker was named after the Clown Clarabell from the Howdy Doody show; which aired in the fifties. Maybe we'll find out at the end of the special that It's Howdy Doody Time.
@@kenthomas505 Would he bring Jenna back? Who knows. Does that mean he use her as the same character? Not necessarily. When Moffet brought Piper back it was as a completely differant character who adopted Rose's appearance to show the Doctor just how important she was to his future. But she was not playing the sam character. I could also see RTD doing the same thing Bringing Coleman back as a completely differant character. Maybe she would play a younger version of Queen Victoria who is STILL NOT AMUSED by Doctor or his antics.
@@daiyahigashikata where did I say that, smartass? I've worked on several blockbusters back before digital effects f*cking existed. I'm stating that having 10 and 14 appear in the episode is no bloody sweat; 10 can simply be a digitally de-aged version, and a much less expensive one thanks to AI. My protege Jame Parris won an Oscar for his animation on a digitally aged version of Brad Pitt in Benjamin Buttons. No, that was NOT makeup, or AI!
I would love it if Russel T Davies brought back The Valeyard and The Rani as enemies serving as a dark reflection of when The Doctor and Romana travelled together. He could even bring Romana back and make the story a battle of Time Lords.

I have always had notions that The Mind Robber story with Patrick Troughton was a Toymaker story with all the inferences of nursery rhymes, comic books, etc. Even as the Master as he was so called, I guessed he was the actual Master because he stated that he was there for at least 1,000 years playing the part of a human writer. If it was true he was there that long, we only know Timelords live longer than human lives. It also could be said that the actual Toymaker decided to take a non appearance role until the Doctor was completely hooked through the machine. There is also an untransmitted story when DW was on hiatus before the Trial Of A Timelord series, that was supposed to take place when the Doctor took Peri to Brighton Beach. Too bad they opted for Trial Of A Timelord, to try and solidify a continuing series.
Just a casual observation, Is the costume a clue? Originally David wore a brown suit. The clone Dr in the other dimension was in blue. This new one is also wearing a blue colour and what looks like a grey blue great coat like the one Cpt Jack wore.
There's a Clara storyline yet to be wrapped up. When we first meet her 11 and the Ponds crash land on this planet. Clara helps guide them to safety and 11 promises to help her get to safety. When he finally reaches her she is revealed to be a Dalek. So how does she go from traveling all over space and time to becoming a Dalek?
My fan theory is that in the journeys end the 10th doctor used all his regeneration by transferring the energy into his served hand so he can heal his original body without a new face appearance. So when Donna became imbued with the time lord becoming part human and time lord. Later when the 10th doctor wipes Donnas memory so she won't die from the time lord energy becoming a regular person again. So what if Donna remembered/dreamt of the 10th doctor giving her a little time lord energy from the served hand causing the 13th doctor to regenerate to the 10th doctor again because of Donna. That's my theory.
i THINK its pretty likely the "What the HELL is going on?!" scene was shot inside the new tardis? Possibly they thought the delivery and line were both too good a fit to tease the new Tardis look too early, but it feels like a likely idea.
If the Wild Blue Yonder features the word Southampton, could it feature the departure of the Titanic from the Southampton docks into the Wild Blue Yonder? Will we finally see a doctor on the Titanic?
A very interesting idea, but I don’t consider it likely. It would require a redefinition of the term “Wild Blue Yonder” because it’s typically used to refer to the sky by the U.S. Marines rather than to refer to the sea. Could be a cool redefinition, though.
One theory I heard being chatted about in a coffee shop. Was that the Doctor regenerates to the Tenant “face” so that those in danger recognise him - as no one saw the regeneration. So, there would be no one to back up the identity. Their theory did boot aside a multiple doctor combo to stop the villain as it was done to save their own world from the Daleks. (With that eyebrow reveal) however, interestingly they put forward the idea that the villain we’ve seen is not the villain in charge.
Got a feeling Wild Blue Yonder will be an episode where the doctor is faced with making many decisions, more than usual. Episode might involve scenarios that have played out over the last 60 years for each of his incarnations and possibly show alternative outcomes to what we witnessed on screen. Possibly this ep will be a montage episode of many doctor who clips including various scenarios over the last 60 years.
The Valeyard is the 10th Dpctpr clone who was left in the alternate universe with Rose. He came back to the other universe to steal the Doctor's regenerations because he can't regenerate.
Donna Noble's last appearance was in the 2 part Xmas 2009-New Year 2010 story. There was no indication of her having a child (I don't think Yasmin's character of Rose is also trans). If this story is set on present day earth she would only be around 12 years old. It's unlikely that Rose was born before Donna joined the The Doctor because the name Rose is obviously intentional! It also seems unlikely that Rose was born so soon after because Donna had all of her memory of that period wiped from her mind, nor would she remember Rose Tyler! These episodes are either set in the future, or an alternative Earth or, as you say, a creation of the Toymaker himself?
Ok, hear me out about other Dr's who could be in this one. What if, since the Dr can travel ALL of space and time, we see Ncuti appear BEFORE he actually regenerates, as in the Tardis shows up because it knew he was needed somewhere to save the day, Ncuti pops out does his Dr thing with Tennant with a lot of "But you're me, but not yet me, but how is this happening??" moments. Probably wouldn't happen and probably anti-climactic if it did, but it could be an interesting twist. I also think there is a definite opening for the Fugitive Dr to show up, not exactly sure how, but with the Toymaker involved, seems like a great way to bring her back. And if Clara comes back do we get Ashildr back as well???
The rose petals remind me of the Roman Emperor, Elagabalus and the story of him suffocating his party guests with rose petals. But then I'm over educated. We're going to have to wait and see
The doctor and master merged briefly at the end of Jodie’s era, so I think it would be a great idea to have Tennant play the villian of ncutis era 🤷♂️ Tennant plays a great baddie!
She’s both dead and not dead, canonically we know she will eventually go back to the moment of her death in Face The Raven as we see her become part of Testimony, however Clara also has the immortal being thing going on so can appear in her Tardis diner
I'm early for once! Although, my bell notification was weird and didn't show that I had new videos, that is strange. I searched on youtube for "60th anniversary theories" and saw this!
I'm really surprised so many people are hung up on Jodie's Doctor degenerating into Tennant. I could be entirely wrong, but Jodie's Doctor (controlled by the Master) was degenerated backwards to bring back Jodie. It would be an easy explanation that this process messed up what was supposed to be the Doctor's next regeneration and everything went backward instead of forward.
Tbh with what Russell has said about the 14th doctor not being a trick and that the reason is more sutler I believe that he's back simply to do with Donna and having a face she can relate too. Nothing to do with the toy maker! However i like the idea of 15 being trapped in the edge but I doubt we will see other doctors apart from maybe 10 and 15. I don't want Peter or Jodie to return. If anything I want bloody Susan to come back!! After the 10th doctor saying he wished he'll see Susan again with tens eyes in the new big finish 60th audio. I want 14 to see his granddaughter again. Please Russell. Even if it's a camo. I want SUSAN IN THE SHOW AGAIN!! What better way to celebrate the show then to have the original companion return!?
Just a thought, but if the toy maker has control over everything in his universe he could be the one to restore Donna's memories. Maybe the Doctor makes a deal with him he regrets
Hey Crispy - good to see you've got a legitimate gig reviewing Doctor Who LOL. Just kidding there mate, interesting theories and all of them just make me want the new episodes/specials to drop tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to have to subscribe to Disney+.
The more I watch the last regeneration it seems like the regeneration is definitely taken over or over ridden in same way, but I guess that much is obvious, but is it because of Donna, is Donna the key, has the Celestial Toy Maker bought back Donna's doctor because he needs something from Donna?
Falling away from the fandom during the Chibnal era I didn’t hear about David tennant’s upcoming return. Then RUclips recommended a video for the 13th doctor’s regeneration with David tennant in the thumbnail. Watched the video and thought this was an amazing fan made video, looked so legit! I thought that with RTD coming back this would be a great thing to do. Then i scrolled and saw that the channel was official BBC. Then I clicked that the 60th anniversary was coming up, I realized it was legit and contrary to everything I was sure of, my excitement for doctor who came back. I also only saw this video last month so I realized not only that, but I only had two months to wait.
The 60th Anniversary is going to be a Time Lord test after they faked the destruction of Gallifrey at the hands of the Master to see if the Doctor was corrupted by the Master, thereby bringing in the Toymaster and Donna.
I prefer that Clara is not brought back. If she is please please please keep the Doctor as the central character. I hated that she was placed at the centre of the storylines and not the Doctor.

I also wouldn’t be hugely shocked if RTD wasn’t just messing with us and leaning into certain fan theories. He’s already said the first backdrop we saw of 15 was a placeholder, I wouldn’t put it past him to do a second placeholder to look just like the edge - purely to get us all talking.
Good point
If Ncuti was at The Edge, I wouldn't say that's a "big" spoiler - y'know? If he was on Gallifrey or something - then yes, huge spoiler
I love hearing everyone's fan theories for the 60th anniversary specials! I'm getting really excited now! Great video, thanks Crispy and Who Culture! 😊😊
I won't get my hopes up tho 🤔😶

I think Ncuti will bring some welcomed uniqueness to his portrayal as a Doctor, I'm really looking forward to it!
Whatever the plot ends up being, the Doctor's final line will be something like, "I'm ready to go".
ALONG WITH THE AUDIENCE!!!!!!
1:09 Yes Beep the Meep and Wrath Warriors are totally unbelievable in the context of Doctor Who. unlike the Pting, Stenza, Kroll, the Judoon, etc.
I've said it once and I will say it again, I really wish Sean Pertwee would come on as a doctor cameo and honour his father's incarnation
He said though, he doesn't want to. Because that role was his father's not his.
@@marionbaggins yeah, I know. But just imagine! He is the spitting image of his father
Rose temple is also a toy maker. She makes them in the shed and sells them online. Toymaker laying in a bed of rose petels.
Just saying.
14 being a villain holds some weight. If anyone has seen the DW indents that the BBC released this week. Tennant looks strangely Kilgrave (from Jessica Jones) levels of sinister
I've long been convinced that Dr Who creates all of the dramas and catastrophes just to keep himself amused.
I honestly REALLY like that last theory.
Here the predictions that I have so far
Wow. No.
Really interesting to see how many of these were on the right track.
I just can't wait to watch these specials! You guys at WhoCulture have really made the lengthy time to wait even enjoyable. I love your videos, I'm always watching out to see if there's a new one out. Thanks for everything! (I can't believe we have less than a month to go!)
Characters that I hope Russell brings back are the rani and the valeyard. It’s about time we got those characters back. Also I would love Russell to continue some previous storylines such as the midnight entity. I know it’s better as a mystery but I would love to know more at least.
The Rani is stuck in limbo essentially. Both her creators are dead and they had no children so nobody even knows who own her
Crispy!! You’re on who culture? Literally my two favorite RUclipsrs
Crispy’s been here a while!
Let’s gooo
I have the sneaking suspicion that the Clown named Clara in the Celestial Toymaker was named after the Clown Clarabell from the Howdy Doody show; which aired in the fifties. Maybe we'll find out at the end of the special that It's Howdy Doody Time.
True, but the possibility that it could be Oswin Oswald is too tempting.
@@MinimalistTheatre333 Oh I don't know but I'm not sure RTD would bring one of Moffat's characters back.
@@josephcooter5763too bad if he didn't. Moffat brought back Billie Piper for the 50th so RTD could at least return the favor. 👍
If AI can make an 80 year old Harrison Ford appear to be 38, it can easily make a 52 year old Tennant 38 again.
AI? you think movie effects are all AI? lol
We won't see David regenerate into Ncuti. We'll see Jodie regenerate into Ncuti. That's my theory.
100% not happening, mark my words
The Master's forced regeneration could certainly open the door for The Valeyard!
I'm looking forward to the 60th anniversary with David Tennant returning once more as The Doctor.
I would love it if Russel T Davies brought back The Valeyard and The Rani as enemies serving as a dark reflection of when The Doctor and Romana travelled together. He could even bring Romana back and make the story a battle of Time Lords.
He should also bring back the Meddling Monk and War Master too
Having Donna's daughter be named Rose CANNOT be a coincidence, with any other doctor sure but Rose is the character 10 is tethered to the most. It has to mean something! HOW IS YOUR NAME ROSE!?!??
Rivers first encounter with the doctor in the library,
Now we understand she was intermediate with both with the same face
If Rowan Atkinson actually came back for this special as the Curse of the Fatal Death alt universe doctor, I would actually have a heart attack
The only theory I have is that we will see a post credit scene of jinx monsoons character linking her to the toymaker
10. Possible.
9. I doubt it.
8. I really hope not.
7. I don’t see how.
6. That would be nice.
5. No.
4. Maybe.
3. I wouldn’t enjoy that.
2. I suppose that could work.
1. I don’t see how that could work.
I'm watching this after The Star Beast and Wild Blue Yonder has aired, and I'm glad that most of these theories have been debunked.
I like to imagine that the Land of Fiction is the true original home of the Doctor being that he is a fictional character
I would not be shocked if 14 was the real baddy. Tennant's Doctor was the closest they've come to an evil incarnation...
You've obviously not met Six and Seven...
@@steventhomas2856 Oh, I have but 6 was temporary and 7 was sneaky ;)

#11, STORMAGEDDON RETURNS
I said as soon as I watched the first trailer. The ‘giggle’ does not sound like NPH to me 😮
But, will "Beep the Meep" plushes start showing up in Disney Stores at your favorite mall? ;-P
I reckon 10 will be in the 6 day shoot thing
Also Jonothan Groff is in the 60th too, but the musical ep will most likely be the S14 one
Where was it confirmed that Groff is in the 60th?

i THINK its pretty likely the "What the HELL is going on?!" scene was shot inside the new tardis?
I wish, but we know that 9 was on the titanic, and we know that it wasn't a multi Doctor story because he remembered that it happened.
Human chimeras happen IRL. Rose Temple-Noble could be a chimera with three people contributing to her genetic makeup. IDK 🤷♂️
Dang they guessed rose being part timelord correct
I love your working for who culture now
One theory I heard being chatted about in a coffee shop.

Not going to be watching the 60th anniversary specials until December but I'm super excited
We're going to have to wait and see
Best line from 10 to 11:
"What you do in the privacy of your regeneration is your business..."... perfect... ;-)
The doctor and master merged briefly at the end of Jodie’s era, so I think it would be a great idea to have Tennant play the villian of ncutis era 🤷♂️ Tennant plays a great baddie!
To be fair, Clara isn't completely dead. To my knowledge, she's still around. Having her in the anniversary wouldn't be the worst thing.
She’s both dead and not dead, canonically we know she will eventually go back to the moment of her death in Face The Raven as we see her become part of Testimony, however Clara also has the immortal being thing going on so can appear in her Tardis diner
What's interesting is the BBC are counting the 3 specials as part of the upcoming 14th series (beginning with the 2023 Christmas episode).
I'm early for once! Although, my bell notification was weird and didn't show that I had new videos, that is strange. I searched on youtube for "60th anniversary theories" and saw this!
The Man. The Crisp. The Legend.
Wait since when is Crispy Pro part of Whoculture? Cool as!
I agree that bringing the Valyard back would be a good idea!
"The Power of the Doctor" compels you! "The Power of the Doctor" compels you! ;-P
You can never get too much David Tenant! Quite right.
Wait, we're getting another Rose? When they mentioned Rose, I thought they were talking about the first Rose, weird, lol!
I mean beep the meep is a criminal basically all Meeps
are criminals
Three theories turned out to be true
I'm whatever the 60th has planned for us. I'm going to be 100% ready for it, plus I have 14s sonic screwdriver coming tomorrow
Just a thought, but if the toy maker has control over everything in his universe he could be the one to restore Donna's memories. Maybe the Doctor makes a deal with him he regrets
Doctor Who can have literally limitless plot twists. The only limit is imagination
Hey Crispy - good to see you've got a legitimate gig reviewing Doctor Who LOL. Just kidding there mate, interesting theories and all of them just make me want the new episodes/specials to drop tomorrow. Looks like I'm going to have to subscribe to Disney+.
I want Matt Smith to return as the Master in the 60th.
The more I watch the last regeneration it seems like the regeneration is definitely taken over or over ridden in same way, but I guess that much is obvious, but is it because of Donna, is Donna the key, has the Celestial Toy Maker bought back Donna's doctor because he needs something from Donna?
I can't wait!
So Neil Patrick Harris shared a picture saying he is excited to be in the giggle on 9th December. This could mean he is only in that one??
Nice to see Crispy here
Oh my goodness if they brought back Clara I would die of happiness. She is one of my favorite companions!!! Great video!!!
Those are pretty wild. A few are also pretty good.
Is Ruby Sunday a regenerated Rose? Is any of this related to Susan?
10th and 11 Wondering WTF 14 Is LOL because a Conversation like that WOULD BE HILARIOUS AND honestly MAke Me Cry
I hope to see a multi doctor who story!
Can I just say you’ve have NPH as the Bad guy, It’s NPH we’re more than likely guaranteed a musical number.
I prefer that Clara is not brought back. If she is please please please keep the Doctor as the central character. I hated that she was placed at the centre of the storylines and not the Doctor.
