A band that sounds like if Meshuggah and Gojira had a baby:
ORIA (Progressive Groove Metal)

ORIA (band) Facebook page:
/ oriabandofficial
My favorite part is how he just casually walks in listening to bleed lol
that part was fuckin genius
DrumsAndMetal Ikr lol, just chillin'
Mugenloo
I was about to make this comment just after I watched the scene.
I couldn't breathe I laughed so hard
JK Simmons is totally a Meshuggah kind of guy.
SuperWolfman9 he looks like the lead singer
@@cstubbssubs7746 maybe they're twins
He’s Jens but meaner
One does not simply walk in casually listening to "Bleed"
Bassistking i sleep to it man
Bassistking, I’m doing this next year.
Hahaha dead
Let's make a challenge to do so 😂😂😂
Who knew that a room full of brass instruments can emulate the sound of electric guitars so perfectly?
Crazy right???
They were so terrorised by the conductor, so they learned it
Honestly my dream
Fletcher listening to Meshuggah when he walks in made me lose my shit. Hilarious.
Teacher walks in listening to Bleed by Meshuggah 00:30
John Zero Signal, I’m doing that as soon as I come back to school next semester. Lol.
Love how you matched the reverb to the room in the film. Nice work. Makes me want to check out Whiplash.
Haha, I knew someone would notice that. Thanks for watching
Watching again it's even funnier haha.
Man how have you not watched it it's fucking gr8 10/10 still trying to figure out why any self respecting musician would use Evans heads tho
I love my evans heads :/
Evans make some great heads
Whiplashuggah :)
actually djent could be very jazzy
I don't disagree...has weird time signatures, note placement, phrasing, melodies, etc.
Andrew de la Mennah ☣ You mean djazz.
Ya, I think they're both a celebration of chaos
Andrew de la Mennah ☣ animals as leader playing jazz fusion/djent
in fact 7string guits are initialy used for playing jazz, decades ago ;curious fact 😉
For real though, Whiplash is an excellent movie.
yeah, I'm a drummer and I fucking love it even if it's not realistic (in the drumming/band aspects of it)
+Some Guy The unrealistic parts are what's ruining it for me. If a real person would practice the way the protagonist did with all the bleeding from the hands, that person wouldn't become a drummer, he would probably never be able to ever play the drums.
Yep, too much of overdramatization is freaking annoying...
i agree
I don't know if you ever met a very dedicated musician, or a musician trying to get a difficult part of a song just right but, they will go nights without sleeping; and the setting in the movie puts in a very realistic scenario where someone can take your place in a prestigious band just because you didn't practice enough.
He's playing Djent with traditional grip. So classy lol
Thats so thall
The black guitarrist in the back is playing fucking lit
0:08 me_irl
ghost of perdition
tosin abasi in the guitar
Hahahahaha
The riff at 1:42 it's actually very jazzy... that's why it works so much with this scene LOL
Meshuggah is literally "Jazz Metal". Catch 33 (the album where this partition is from) is a masterpiece.
That part would sound so good with sax instrumentation
Fredrik Thordendal's "Z2- Reticuli" would work great here too.
I didn’t notice the jazz perspective at all till you mentioned it. I never thought this sound was possible
What song is it?
HAHAHA love how he grooves to the music here 2:37
ahahahahahaha back and forth, back and forth
That was sum! I love that jam!
All the way through this movie, I really felt stressed... this made me loosen up when thinking about it, thanks man, XD
holy fuck i died at the end hahahah
Me too
All I hear is Cave Johnson when he's talking lol. "when life gives you lemons don't make lemonade. make life take the lemons back."
***** yepp
ooo daha çok türk
oo aşşırı Türk
oo yeter turk aq
hala türk
LA LA LAND GOES DJENT PLEASE
Aibolat Khanat no
You can definitely hear the jazz influence in Meshuggah.
Jazz for the modern age 🤘
0:46 and the whole band would start shredding that low E.......ACTING LIKE A MANIAC...WHIPLASH! (but that's not djent tho :D )
thats what i was hoping for but i knew it wouldn't happen
+Alex Rooney same
*low F#
what a djenty piano !! 1:20
Holy fuck that beginning was amazing.
I knew subscribing to this channel will be worth it. Fking savage
the same thing, man :D
I aim to please
Fking savadje
That ending was epic
4:12 If someone would do that to me, I would throw my guitar back at him, seriously.
The scream at the end... absolutely predictable but still I cried from laughing 😂 great video 🤘
cattle decap in the beginning hell yeah
brandonger There you go, I was looking for this
so the violins and horns are dang playing distorted low-tuned guitar o.O
what violins?
VIOLINS??!!!!
I thought this would be the Metallica classic. Oh well.
Same ;_;
It's Whiplash
Evander Leal We know but most of our first guesses was the song whiplash from the first Metallica album 'Kill em all'
EW.
yuggg bro do you even djent?
0:00-0:02 is 'Mammals in Babylon' by Cattle Decapitation in case someone is wondering.
i'm so glad i also caught that and found this comment to confirm
I'M UPSET
This is gold. Please do more djent movie mashups!
Noticed a continuity problem there! Andrew is holding a pair of pro marks in the insert shot of the sticks but every other shot thereafter he's playing zildjians.
or maybe he swapped?
If you want djent + whiplash, listen to all 50 minutes of frederick thorendal's special defects album 😊
Please do more films go djent. it's brilliant and you put them together really well. It was the School of Djent video that brought me to your channel and I just think it's a fantastic concept. Keep it up!
Highly disappointed no one has made this with Metallica's Whiplash yet.
Andrew Zbinden then do it yourself
ruclips.net/video/mJ3NqXjxci0/видео.html
Literally thinking this
ACTING LIKE A MANIAC...
Next time, when you do the earpieces, don't only do a mid cut but also a low cut. Say a high pass filter up in the high frequencies. That mimics the earpieces better :)
Also to make the room sound more roomy. make the audio mono and tune the subs down a little bit, lets say below 100 Hz. Then add a little extra between 100 and 200 Hz somewhere and put up a decent room reverb but not too big, its still a room. In between the scenes, you can also play with the direction the sound is coming from so make it more realistic.
Thanks for the tips man!
This video had me the moment Mammals In Babylon started playing at the very beginning
THIS HAD ME DEAD. but honestly though, Whiplash is my favorite movie.
Not quite my Tempo
holy shit 2:35 LMAO
I need to walk in to class casually while listening to Bleed at full volume.
3:45 kills me every damn time, LOL!!
Djazz... sorry I had to, great film by the way
When he punched through that snare at the beginning, it broke my heart a little .-.
Anybody else came here expecting to hear Whiplash.... I mean the one from KILL'EM ALL ?
The ending is absolutely amazing 😂😂😂
for anybody curious, the drum opening at the beginning of the video is Mammals In Babylon by Cattle Decapitation
Fletcher listenin to Bleed, I am dying LMFAO
4:25 is so good!
This music fits the professor so well
this is too fucking good!! Should've shopped Jens Kidman face at the end lol
*Not quite my tempo*
Thanks lol wasn't expecting much glad i clicked
Metal drumming has a lot of jazz influences. This mashup is not surprising at all.
I’m amazed so many people could identify the beginning as Cattle Decap, being that it’s literally just blast beats
me too
That scream at the end hahaha xDDD laughing my balls off
love the cattle decap in the intro
'"Alright gang. New Millennium Cyanide Christ"
I wish every music teacher would say that before every class haha
JK Simmons is Jens Kidman. It all makes sense now.
You're gonna go far. Mark my words, man!
I always come back to this video, dammit it´s just too good !!! hehehehehe
I'm fucking dying 😂😂😂
This is the best video I've ever seen
Thanks RUclips for recommend me this
Whiplash is now Djent on BOG Studios new upload
So good. Never watched this movie but I should definitely check it out.
Even Fletcher (the music coach) looks like the guy from Meshuggah :o
That blast beat in the beginning tho
did you play cattle decap at the beginning?
Critically beautiful!
greatest music film of all time
The moment I heard Meshuggah Bleed...I knew I was in for a ride
this is my second favorite movie ever
hahaha this channel deserves more suscribers! :D
every second of this video is important
How hard would I have to punch my snare? Im gonna absolutely kill it. Im gonna punch my snare drum so hard that I send it back to another dimension.
We are djenters bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum
really nice work with this one!^^
dude new sub. can you just do more of these they're hilarious
This video made me actually want to watch the film.
Why did the producers go to the trouble of editing the OST so much to insert Jazz? Thank u for posting the original!
bloody brilliant mate
Djazz
ironic enough, this is better than the movie itself
I like how nobody is gonna remark on this teacher being Devin Townsend's clone basically okay okay
Ah yes, Meshuggah is my favorite Jazz band.
Lol the meshuggah headphones
SICK DUDE! I LOVE IT!
the wind instruments are acting like they are playing so they wont feel left out.
Bravo sir, bravo that was amazing Lmaooo
Cool video. You've earned a sub
Genius
Damn that part at 0:17 I was sure that was Meshuggah playing, but its actually a real part in the movie XD
cattle decapitation at the intro
This is so underrated my God yes
What s the song at 1:43?
In Death is Death
