The newer kpop stans just do not understand what a powerhouse TVXQ were. They were the BIGGEST kpop group between 2004-2010 and this song is a great example as to why. TVXQ were (still are too) some of the best vocalists to ever grace kpop. I cannot imagine any group in the current kpop sphere who could realistically take on the vocal heavy songs TVXQ have put out, both as five and as a duo.
Before BTS was in Korea, there was TVXQ. As a singer, TVXQ is the top tier. Please check out TVXQ- Tonigt live Performance! Another fact that many people don't know, they are originally a cappella groups. Dance position and English rap members are all good at singing.

Line distribution actually means nothing to TVXQ!, because they sing consistently through out the song. Every single members hold an irreplaceable position in the team, when one sings others will do background harmony or adlibs, vocal layering, etc. That is why the combination of 5 of them is the most perfect unit you can find in Kpop.
FINALLY THE VOCAL GODS OF KPOP! Jaejoong is my absolute favorite singer in the world. Please check out more of their stuff as 5. The vocals are always killer. They do have some Acapella stuff that is beautiful. JYJ (Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu) have a song called In Heaven that is insane to hear live. Once Jaejoong went solo he went more of a rock route. I recommend checking out his songs One Kiss, Mine, Run Away, Just Another Girl. And you should definitely check out more of Junsu.

I don't know if it's because of TVXQ's 20th anniversary but there have been a couple of YT reactors reacting to OT5 stuff and I'm so happy about it. You gotta watch their lives if you want to really appreciate their vocals. Music videos do not do it justice at all. Love in the ice (Tokyo dome) is one their iconic songs. Honestly, so many of their ballads are amazing. You can also probably just watch their acapella compilations

5 member tvxq is peak ;; they've done quite a bit of acapella too. if you're interested in more power vocal ballads their song Love in the Ice is a fan favorite. there's no MV for it but the live performance is all you need to see! (there's korean and japanese versions). and their japanese song Why Did I Fall In Love With You is soooo good as well

They are called by their names hero jaejoong is called young jaejoong, Xiah junsu is called xiah junsu, Mickey yuuchun is called Mickey yuuchun, max changmin is called choikang changmin and u-know yunho is called u-know yunho. But young Jaejoong is now just called Jaejoong because he has separated from TVXQ and xiah junsu now is called xia junsu.

The group name 'Dong Bang Shin Ki' is a 4-character .SM wanted to use this 4-character concept for all of the member's stage names. So each of them had two characters added in as special descriptors. U-KNOW Yunho Yeongwoong Jaejoong Micky Yoochun Xiah Junsu Choikang Changmin The other 3 are made up or non-Korean terms, but yeongwoong and choikang are in Korean so they had alternative versions for those. Yeongwoong means hero and choikang means 'the greatest' or 'the maximum'... thusly Hero Jaejoong and Max Changmin.

TV5XQ debuted in 2003 and dominated all Kpop and Asia before the things called "social media" even existed (likes facebook, youtube, twitter, etc...). Can't image how powerful they were at that time. Most of their MVs were uploaded years later and people still prefer to watch their live performances. Their split is a huge loss to Kpop.

I started my true kpop journey being a Cassiopeia (DBSK stan) back in 2007 and I have NO regrets. I haven't still found a Kpop group that can match their stage presence and amazing talent. I'm glad you got to listen to this masterpiece and I absolutely recommend you to deep dive. They were monsters back in the days and all of the kpop bands nowadays are heavily influenced by them. The fact that they were created because Lee Sooman wanted to form a Boyz 2 Men korean group so he found 5 amazing vocalists and made them do acapella music together (you should watch their acapella compilations) is so... impressive. They were impressive as five (their voices matched SO good) and they still are as two, but I think they shined brighter when they were all together. I wish they could do a come back as five someday, but I know it's not likely to happen :( so all I can do is remininsce

I love this song, it sounds sososooso soft and gentle. But the Tokyo dome live version is better and more moving.

It's so much better. I recommend some songs like Love in Ice, Don't Say Goodbye, In Heaven (JYJ), Catch me (TVXQ!) or some of their Japanese songs Bolero (live Tokyo Dome), Wasurenaide, Doushite, Forever love, Heart, Mind And soul
they are all main vocalists. but hero jaejoong was the heart and soul of tvxq 5 members song (he always stand in the middle of the formation as well). Junsu is like the engine, micky is the secrete weapon, changmin is a force, and yunho is a leader. But jaejoong is the guy connects everyone.

Yunho is real firstname on boardcast call all "U-know Yunho"
For Jaejoong in Korea brodcast they call "Yongwoong Jaejoong" (Yongwoong means Hero)
But when 2009 Jaejoong, Junsoo, Yoochun left the group and banned so they only call their first name left. For 2still call "Max-Changmin, U-know Yunho"

I started my true kpop journey being a Cassiopeia (DBSK stan) back in 2007 and I have NO regrets. I haven't still found a Kpop group that can match their stage presence and amazing talent. I'm glad you got to listen to this masterpiece and I absolutely recommend you to deep dive. They were monsters back in the days and all of the kpop bands nowadays are heavily influenced by them. The fact that they were created because Lee Sooman wanted to form a Boyz 2 Men korean group so he found 5 amazing vocalists and made them do acapella music together (you should watch their acapella compilations) is so... impressive. They were impressive as five (their voices matched SO good) and they still are as two, but I think they shined brighter when they were all together. I wish they could do a come back as five someday, but I know it's not likely to happen :( so all I can do is remininsce
