I've been into kpop since 2000, and stanned TVXQ from the second I laid eyes and ears on them in 2004. So, this is an OG kpop fan and Cassiopeia here....thank you for your reaction, truly. TVXQ are so underrated in current kpop which just breaks my heart. TVXQ are the ultimate, perfect kpop group. They have zero flaws in my eyes. TVXQ were the bts of their generation. TVXQ were the largest boy group in the world. If they hadn't split they would have gotten even bigger. Backstory time - the original lineup was Junsu, Yoochun, Jaejoong, Changmin and Yunho. Junsu, Jaejoong and Yoochun were the three who decided to leave SM Entertainment in 2010 due to contract disputes, specifically surrounding unfair money distribution, contract length, and slave like work hours. Keep Your Head Down was the song that Changmin and Yunho first released after coming back as the duo you see now. TVXQ have been a duo, officially, since 2011. TVXQ are largely more popular in Japan nowadays since kpop is just more focused on newness and trend chasing. In Japan, their fans are incredibly dedicated and will stick with them to the end. Love TVXQ, our Rising Gods of the East!!
Btw the Song Rising Sun was also when the movie Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift came out. When I saw the movie in theatres I was so happy to see this song was in the movie and I also fell in love with the Teriyaki Boys song Tokyo Drift as well. Lastly, I'm the same age as YunHo and I was 18 when I first heard their debute song Hug and if u haven't seen the MV for Balloons which feature the most adorable babies and kids in it as well as the members dressed in just as cute costumes too. Beware if u watch their earlier MV's OMG the hair and fashion then lol.

Loosing 3 member is such a huge blow, but it also gave a huge boost for them to evolve as an artist. Hope u like it :)
Thank u for your reaction. TVXQ! has their own color, They dont follow the trend, They're the trendsetter. To me, They're never boring. Of course Im biased. Shoutout from Indonesian CASSIOPEIA 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
When there's TVXQ and Super Junior in the festival, they're be the last 2 performance group Tvxq always become ending performance, Maximum and Keep your head down is the best for the last and the festival ended perfectly 💃👌
I remember both groups collab together on a song for the winter holidays I think with song called Show Me Your Love and i used to watch the MV daily back then lol.
Thank you for reacting to this. Tvxq holds a very special part of my heart as they were the group that got me into kpop. I was with them as 5, then 3v2, then 2v2 Even though I won’t hear these songs as a 5members anymore, just the two of them singing those old songs gave me so much nostalgia & warm feelings. They were *that* group back in their prime, it’s great to see the “new generation” react to their stuff
I just started stanning them when I heard Mirotic getting covered and been listening to their songs in spotify ever since. I like their ballads. I love Changmin's high notes and I fell inlove with Yunho's low notes especially in Rebel, they're just a perfect blend. This just proves why they are still active even after 20 years.
Mirotic is one of the most famous song of them because they were released in 2008 and 2008-2009 was golden era of Gen2 kpop and many groups were released new song and many new groups were debuted(and famous after that) but TVXQ is a senior (famous)group who was come back with new sexy R&B song like Mirotic and people were surprised and the song was really famous at that time and became a legend song now 😂
Ive been a fan of them since I got into Kpop at age 12 in 2012 and they were one of the first groups i ever fell in love with. it had been a dream of mine to see them in person. i actually went to Japan last year just to see them in concert for their CLASSYC tour! (fun fact, that tour, with the last 2 shows being at Tokyo Dome, actually broke the record for most concerts there by a single artist. with over 30 concerts at Tokyo Dome.) also up until recently TVXQ were the only Korean artist to ever perform at Nissan Stadium in Japan as well (Twice and Seventee are performing there this year). theyve done a total of 5 shows there, 2 for one tour and their next tour there with three shows making them the only artist to ever have more than 2 consecutive shows there. the capacity for their concerts there is around 75,000. that was most likely the video you watched of them performing in the rain
After the previous reaction. Killing Voice is to be expected.. Thank You for TVXQ Killing Voice reaction ❤ As a person, I look up to them a lot, positive attitude, excellent work ethics, humble and polite.. (There were many bumpy roads along their careers, but they still stand together looking so amazing-ly strong on the stage, shine exclusively so bright for Cassiopeia and BigEast) I am a proud fan ❤ Forgot to add, TVXQ "Love Line" will forever be my TVXQ number 1 song, I just love it so much, along with TVXQ "Spellbound" ❤
I first got into KPop when I was 11 or 12 in 1998 and haven't stopped since. My first groups I listened to was 1TYM, Tiger JK, and Roo'Ra (my first CoEd group btw) many more. Even Psy before anyone knew who he was LOL!
love in the ice is just a genuine masterpiece and i regularly come back to it and reactions to it just to have a good cry. both the ot5 versions and the ot2 version. catch me is such a product of its time and you can see that they cropped out all the spice from 2012 in this version, but god damn does it have a soft spot in my heart. i think that was the time i really started getting into kpop and it was just on repeat. dubstep and voice manipulations included.
Not only is TVXQ an SM group, so amazing vocals are a given, but they were originally supposed to be an acapella group, so they are known for having superior harmonies and vocals. (In the early days, when they were a 5-member group, they actually had a lot of acapella performances that really showed off their vocal abilities.) Also, any of those songs that were released before 2010 were originally with all 5 members, so, for example, just wait until you see and hear "Purple Line" "Tonight" and "Love In The Ice" sang live with all 5 members in the song. :D Although their debut song "Hug" was released at the beginning of 2004, they officially debuted the day after Christmas in 2003, so that is why their most recent comeback was in celebration of their 20th anniversary. (Changmin was only 15 in this MV and U-know was 17.) They're "Rising Gods of the East" for a reason. Even after more than 20 years they are still continuing to break new ground and demonstrate why they are the leaders in the industry. If you haven't yet, check out their 2023 MAMA performance where they showcased "Down" even before the MV was released. They also had an epic collaboration stage with SM's newest boy group RIIZE, where they performed "Rising Sun." "Rising Sun" is a classic and a lot of artist and groups have covered the song over the years. Plus, it's used in a lot of things, so you'll probably start to notice it being used in things you watch. And it's one of those songs that defines who TVXQ are so, when you talk about them or they perform anywhere they usually play this song. "Rising Sun" came out in 2005 about a month before Super Junior debuted with their song "Twins (Knock Out)", the hard rock, grunge vibe was just the style of music that SM and the Kpop industry was playing around with back then. The whole song, MV and style was very on trend. Therefore, it has a sound and feel to it like a lot of songs that were released around this time. Fun fact: Those are 100% the real lyrics in "Purple Line." If I remember correctly, Changmin wasn't the original member to sing "I really want to touch myself," put those are just some of the iconic English lines you got in Kpop songs back then. I think the line was originally supposed to be something like "I really want to get in touch with myself," but when SM recorded it, they thought it sounded better the way you heard it, even though everyone questioned leaving it that way when they first read the lyrics. It sounds more scandalous in English than I think the Korean public views it. It's one of those English lines in older Kpop songs that sort of gets lost in translation and is more about the way it sounds in the song than what it really means. "Chance of Love" in 2018 not only was a big deal because it was celebrating their 15th anniversary, but it also was their first comeback after being discharged from the military, so the Kpop industry was ready and waiting for them to release a new album. "Love Line," is also part of their Chapter No. 1: The Chance of Love album, and "Truth," is part of their follow up/repackaged album Chapter No. 2: The Truth of Love, which both also have MVs. "Something" is all big band based, and it becomes even more prominent when you see the MV. This was their comeback in celebration of their 10th anniversary. Their live choreography for this song is really impressive as well. If you want to hear the full song of any of these songs all you have to do is look them up, they've been holding concerts for almost 20 years, so they have sang all these songs live multiple times.
TVXQ used to own the biggest fandom in the world and they are super popular in Asia. Their fandom named Cassiopeia. Cassiopeia is the largest fan club in South Korea, with over 800,000 members registered on their Daum fancafe, Yuaerubi. Its membership totalled to over 920,000 members internationally in 2009.In 2008, Cassiopeia was listed in ‘Guinness Book of Records’ for “World’s Largest Fanclub“
You mentioned anime… btw.. they are the one who sang the ost of ONE PIECE.. SHARE THE WORLD WE ARE ASU WA KURU KARA (tomorrow will surely come) They have sang that multiple times in the past
When i heard balloons, i'am back to the balloons era before the lightstick come, omg just miss that era haha, every fandom has different balloon color. As an ELF untill now i have alot of blue shappire color 😅
Thank you for the reaction!❤ Love in the ice is better in Japanese along with their other killer Jp ballads: Begin, Bolero, Proud, Doushite..these ballads are out of this world and I'm not really a fan of ballads. I hope you check out their live performance of Bolero in Nissan Stadium: ruclips.net/video/UqCL0UzyZno/видео.htmlsi=11Rd_kwECjJV8gWw The songs prior to 2011 including those ballads in this KV are originally the 5-member songs, which they successfully pulled off with just the two of them..which is amazing. They were an acapella group with Yunho being the bass/baritone while Changmin was the tenor. Yunho was also the main rapper, main dancer and the leader.
TVXQ/DBSK are the first 2nd gen kpop group. I miss DBSK5. They were amazing. But I am happy for all of them being successful (well... minus Yoochun for obvious reasons).
I also love the cover that was done of Love in the Ice on Mix9 with members of so many boygroups, including A.C.E, ONEUS, KNK, Vromance, ONF and more. Right up there with the Love Poem cover by Jongho, Eunkwang and Seungmin on Kingdom: Legendary War and worth a watch.
If you ever check out the music video for Balloons, they cast little kids to play their younger selves. Astro's Moon Bin was Little Yunho, while Ikon's Chanwoo was Little Changmin. In another variety show guesting to promote Balloons, the kids returned, still with Moon Bin and Chanwoo, but also joined by another little kid who played Little Yoochun, who grew up to be SF9's Chani. Also, you mentioned Balloons sounded like an OST, TVXQ actually sang the for the One Piece OST twice! Their song Share The World was an opening song, while Asu Wa Kuru Kara (Because Tomorrow Comes) was an ending song. Oh and as much as Yunho and Changmin are amazing singing their older songs, the original 5-piece harmonies really still are better to hear, especially on their ballads that they sang here. Tonight and Love On Ice are just massive vocal flexes, especially since their two main vocalists are still there. Yes, Changmin wasn't even the main vocalist of TVXQ. Imagine, the main dancer/rapper and lead vocalist remained as a duo and somehow the still continued their joint slayage. I can't believe I typed out freaking paragraphs. LOL they're just my ultimate favorite group of all time. And as someone who has stanned SHINee, EXO, and NCT over the years, I still think TVXQ are best performers out there. To me, the 5-member OG lineup is still the most well-rounded lineup SM ever debuted.
You can't always write short paragraph for TVXQ, it has to be this long essay 😂 because we just know so much about them, one or two sentence is not enaugh for introduction, lol 😂 even on wikipedia there is so much to read..Artistry wise, TVXQ are a whole topic for research material..you can literally write a whole essay about them, history and all..see even I wrote this (not so) long paragraph about them, lol lol 😂😂
I was born in 2004 and I became a TVXQ fan in 2016 (I was 12). Tho I know it is almost impossible but, I would really hope to see 0T5 TVXQ again. The crazy fact that I love is when I forget how old I am I just remember how long TVXQ has been around (I know they debuted on 26 December 2003 and I was born on 6th April 2004) But still.
Hello, I loved your reaction, but I would love it even more if you would react to LOVE IN THE ICE, BOLERO, TONIGHT and others in concert but as a group of 5, since if I surprised you as a duet, they are more surprising as a group of 5, so just to emphasize it would also be good that in the songs you hear from them you try to see who the main voice is, since I think it's going to be a bit difficult, 😊 but it would be great if you tried😊 since they do not have it well defined, so it would be good if you did, and thank you for reacting to them☺️🙂
I am happy that you enjoyed the performance. They do concerts both in Korea and in Japan, but talking personally, I think that the production quantity of the recorded live performances in Japan is extremely superior to the ones they do in Korea. While watching on screen (the only option a poor fan living in Europe have), I enjoy the Japanese performances far more, and I recommend other people to watch them.
I’m glad you’re enjoying their songs and performance! The ballad that got you almost teared up “Love in the Ice” was originally in Japanese and was released when there were 5 members in the group. I definitely recommend you checking out Love in the Ice performed in Tokyo Dome in 2009 (with 5 members). Love in the Ice is a very difficult ballad to sing since it’s very emotional and requires a lot of vocal prowess to pull off. Yet at that concert, the song was performed at the encore after the WHOLE concert where they sang completely live with intense choreography for 3-4 hours. They often sang their most difficult ballads at the encore for some reasons. They might seem out of breath or exhausted but they would put their life on the line to perform the ballads and they always do it to perfection, it’s a spectacle to see. And their desperation added so much to the performance in my opinion. While you’re at it, if you’d love to check out another legendary, difficult-to-pull-off ballad from them, please do “Bolero”. This was also originally sung by 5 members but the duo version is no less amazing. I recommend watching 2 versions of performances because they are emotional in different ways. Arguably Bolero is more grand with 5 people, but I think the duo version perfectly captures the emotions of the song very well too. - 5 members version at Tokyo Dome in 2009 (Secret Code concert) - 2 members version at Nissan Stadium (Begin Again concert) in 2017 (they sang under the rain). Their ballad“Tonight” performed at their Korean Mirotic concert in 2009 is another 5 people vocal flex at the encore part of the concert, if you’re interested. And if you’re into something fun and energetic where they danced and jumped yet hit every note perfectly like nothing, please check out “Summer Dream” performed at a-Nation 2009. It’s their Japanese fun, pop song which shows how much the 5 of them enjoy performing and will flex their vocals even in fun poppy songs. TVXQ was originally marketed as an acapella group in their early years with 5 members. Each of them had to be vocally talented to pull off the acapella stuff in their discography. There are compilation of their live/recorded acapella if you’re interested. Their discography in Japan are completely different from their Korean one as they’re put out much more ballad as ‘main’ singles over there. They stopped doing acapella as much in their later years as 5, but they still did beautiful live harmonies for a number of songs. As for the line distributions during their 5 member era, roughly they had 2 lower voices (Yunho and Yuchun) and 2 higher voices (Changmin and Junsu) with middle-range voice (Jaejoong) which could go both low and high. They had a very recognizable sound when they do harmonies which you will see from their ballads that I recommended. They were the group where the rappers (Yunho and Yuchun) could sing and the vocalists could rap (Jaejoong and Junsu did some rapping in their Mirotic album). Any of them could sing almost any part of any song but vocally the ones who took the most lines in their ballads were Jaejoong and Junsu, who left the group together with Yuchun in 2010. Those three were active afterwards under the name JYJ. As for why they left, it was due to unfair profit distribution and slave contract. JYJ filed the lawsuit against SM. And basically at the time that meant they had to leave the group. Stuff happened and Yunho and Changmin continued as a duo and continues to polish their skills and became a legend in the industry with 20 years worth of experience under their belt. Originally Yunho was (and still is) the main dancer thus was unfairly regarded as less talented vocalist only because he was surrounded by vocal monsters in the group. But he continues to improve and I think he has already proven himself to be a very very talented vocalist.Changmin was an incredible vocalist since their early days but was never regarded as a “dancer” but after becoming a duo he stepped up his dancing game soooo much you could rarely find faults in his dance. Changmin takes all the high notes and Yunho would be at the center for dance breaks but really, both of them are exceptionally good at both singing and dancing. Honestly, their MVs and recorded tracks do not do justice to their incredible talents. They often sing completely live with a live band in Japan and do all the intense choreography to perfection yet still sound better than their recorded tracks. So I definitely recommend you checking their live performances, especially Japanese ones! I enjoyed your reaction very much and would looooooove to see your react to more songs from them, either from their past 5 member era or the duo era. But the ballads I mentioned above are not to miss!! Thank you so much for amazing reaction and I’m subscribed! Looking forward for more!

Will be waiting for your next reaction to TVXQ - "Love In The Ice" OT5 LIVE, "Catch Me" and "Keep Your Head Down" 🤩🎉
Thank you for the reaction!❤
Love in the ice is better in Japanese along with their other killer Jp ballads: Begin, Bolero, Proud, Doushite..these ballads are out of this world and I'm not really a fan of ballads. I hope you check out their live performance of Bolero in Nissan Stadium:

The songs prior to 2011 including those ballads in this KV are originally the 5-member songs, which they successfully pulled off with just the two of them..which is amazing. They were an acapella group with Yunho being the bass/baritone while Changmin was the tenor. Yunho was also the main rapper, main dancer and the leader.
tvxq❤❤❤❤
best of the best!
Please react to EXO Killing Voice. BTW, yeah, TVXQ is great! Good actors too!
TVXQ/DBSK are the first 2nd gen kpop group. I miss DBSK5. They were amazing. But I am happy for all of them being successful (well... minus Yoochun for obvious reasons).
Please check out their 5 member music, they’re untouchable as 5.
The song promise u liked is a fan dedicated song
Cassiopeia Indonesia ❤️
Love them
You should give a shot at a Capella songs when they were five members. Many of those songs are fan favs

Just a small correction - Chani is in SF9, not The Boyz 😅
and another small correction, they did 3 "One piece" OSTs, they also did opening for the10th edition, they covered "we are" for the 10th anniversary
@@xw6665 OMG 😭😭😭 My bad!
@@cassiegorilla and if you have been here for quite a long time, the essay gets longer and longer)))
Exo pleaseee
You were in 8th grade in 2004??
So you are 34 now?

Hello, I loved your reaction, but I would love it even more if you would react to LOVE IN THE ICE, BOLERO, TONIGHT and others in concert but as a group of 5, since if I surprised you as a duet, they are more surprising as a group of 5, so just to emphasize it would also be good that in the songs you hear from them you try to see who the main voice is, since I think it's going to be a bit difficult, 😊 but it would be great if you tried😊 since they do not have it well defined, so it would be good if you did, and thank you for reacting to them☺️🙂
Wait, I am still wondering what that meant about Jack Black? What did he ever do to you?
He scats a lot
I am happy that you enjoyed the performance. They do concerts both in Korea and in Japan, but talking personally, I think that the production quantity of the recorded live performances in Japan is extremely superior to the ones they do in Korea. While watching on screen (the only option a poor fan living in Europe have), I enjoy the Japanese performances far more, and I recommend other people to watch them.
thank you for this! you'll want to check out their performance of 'love in the ice' at tokyo dome when they were together as 5 👍
exo killing voice please
You should react to the last ten nct song midnight

- 5 members version at Tokyo Dome in 2009 (Secret Code concert)
- 2 members version at Nissan Stadium (Begin Again concert) in 2017 (they sang under the rain).
