Rebel was released a day after Christmas, so it has the Christmasy feels implement to it. I am glad you react to this Killing Voice by TVXQ after the split. They both work so so hard to protect the name TVXQ and continue with just two of them. They both did a superb job!
Yeah, it literally samples the Carroll of the Bells.
Thank you for reacting to TVXQ with such respect and care. TVXQ are criminally underrated in current kpop and are overlooked far too much for the amount of talent they posses and the creative work they've put out.
I highly recommend that you listen to some more of their duo work - especially "Sun and Rain", "Spellbound", "Duet", and "Before U Go"...they are all vocally impressive and absolutely worth a listen.
Also, if you want lower register Changmin vocals, you need to go more into his solo output. "Devil" is a great showcase of his lower voice 😊
Yunho has always been my TVXQ bias since day 1! I think he's so underrated as a vocalist, but I just love the imperfections in his voice.
I think so but I think TVXQ should one person different (rap) because others are vocal.
When your rapper (YunHo) sings like the main vocals. ChangMin’s vocals are always effortlessly beautiful. TVXQ is an amazing duo. Love your reaction. Please more of TVXQ duo.
I hope you react to Yunho's cinematic masterpiece NEXUS | Reality Show as well. It's a 14-minute short film and also an album sampler for his mini album Reality Show. This album has many good songs as well. ❤
TVXQ debuted in December 2003, the Rebel release celebrating their 20th anniversary included snippets of Carols of the Bells because of that, it's absolutely intentional.
When they are together Changmin is in charge of high note and Yunho is in lower note. So in their own mini album they can experiment.
TVXQ is always amazing
FYI Yunho when 5 formation had bass and rap part. But actually his tone wasn't like now. He had tyroid problem then he had to get throat surgery. He/Yunho considered giving up his training. But some friends from super junior gave him support. Then we hear his voice like now, sometimes I hear nasalt & not clean.
If you want to know Yunho's original voice, you can watch Dana - Diamond in 2001 (Yunho was as a dancer & a rapper, he was 15 years old)
Their vocals are very stable, the amount of the concerts they gave and they always are very serious about vocals. After army's discharge Yunho's voice got better, opener, i think he finally got his rumored medical problem with vocal cords removed. Till Truth (around 13 min) it's a compilation of the hits that were originaly sang by 5, amazing songs written for 5 distinctive voices, but the two made them justice and made these songs theirs. Awesome. Their duo songs are also awesome musicaly and vocally.
Changmin is going to debut as a musical actor soon.
31:37 you are so right, I agree, as his fan I worried with his throat. He is a bass voice, as a sopran I am so in love with his bass sound so much cause he can nailed note that I could never dream on. And he actualy has a good technique for bass.

There are fans who think that the title of Rebel should be "Building the energy to become a villian".
As you said, Yunho is the passion one (he is known for being quite passionate) and Changmin is more cold or unexpressive
It wasn't included in their medley but I feel you'd be interested in their song Tri-Angle. It's like classical meets rock (there is some screamo!) The bonus is that the styling (their hair!) is beyond edgy and experimental, what's not to love? 😆
Bit late to this, but please react to their singles - Max ‘Chocolate, ‘Fever’, Maniac’, Devil (showing the deep side of his voice!) - U-know ‘Thank You’, ‘Nexus Reality Show’, ‘Eeny Meeny’, ‘Drop’. They are all amazing and sure you would enjoy!

Mirotic is TVXQ's most popular song in kpop world and Rising Sun is their second most popular song.
Purple Line is my favorite TVXQ dance track in music wise,but choreogrphy wise Mirotic is my favorite.
TVXQ has many power ballad in OT5 era.
Catch Me will remain my favorite song from HoMin along with Duet forever,it's the song made me want to do a deep dive to TVXQ's songs.

1.I love how you thought about the "devilish" sounds of Rising Sun, cause the lyrics of the song are so angelic and godly and that contrasting sound make it fantastic, you definetly need to check the mv and the lyrics.
2. I agree w you in the Catch Me, I prefer Yunho´s melody as well, sounds really passionate. I never thought Max´s voice was the most emotional in the group, when they were 5 members i thought that the most emotional sounding voices were Junsu´s and Yoochun`s

I gotta say that I enjoy you commeting on their outfits, I noticed it in other videos, it would be interesting if you react to Suri Suri (Spellbound) & something, just to hear what u think of the whole concept. And you should definitely see a full performance of Rising Sun, preferably from a Japanese concert. And for more metalish sound getaway is a great song 😊

For lower voice Changmin, I would recommend his solo 'Devil' and if I am not wrong 'me myself & I' also has a lot of low keys :)

Commenting in the middle of watching it so I don't forget. If you want to hear Changmin lower register, kindly checking their Japanese ballad, even though only in the verses and not in the chorus, often time they start very low and quiet there. I will give you some title: Chandelier, I love you, Ai Wo Motto. They're kinda old tho (around 2012-2014). Or kindly check his bside solo Gold Dust! Also in Japenese anyway. Listening to both of their songs as TVXQ and Tohoshinki will give you broader understanding of their versatility :D

Thank you for your reaction, I really love your honest reaction. If you want to hear Changmin lower voice, you can check Changmin Solo named Piano and Devil (especially the first part). Then Utsuroi, Dirt, Tree of Life, and Still. Those are TVXQ Japanese songs. I think his voice in some parts is quite low.
