Hi - I am so thankful for you for taking the time to share your insights from this deck. Just got this for Xmas and looking forward to working with it soon 🤩💜🌸
Thank you for this walkthrough! I know it's a few years old but I just discovered The Slow Tarot and yours is the second walkthrough I've watched. The first walkthrough had me convinced not to get the deck despite my draw to it and yours has given me the space I needed to make an informed decision to go ahead and purchase the deck!
Such an interesting deck I am in love the carnations here Portugal for example mean freedom as they were the flowers used during the 25th April revolution, a carnation was placed on a soldier gun and that way it was a bloodless revolution 😁 I really wanted to see a deeper view of this deck thank you sooo much for such detailed walk through ❤❤❤
You posted this on my birthday, and what a gift. I hadn't seen your videos before, but you offer such insight into the cards and symbolism--thank you! So much more enticing than the traditional shallow flip through. I have ordered this deck and can't wait to look for all the things you pointed out.
My deck arrived yesterday. Like you, I love discovering the correspondences between cards. Check out the empty painting frames in the background of the 3 of Coins vs the frames with paintings in them in the 9 of Coins. A natural progression through this suit.
That’s such a good idea to go to the website and zoom in! Thanks for the tip! I love this deck, but I so wish they’d done larger cards so all the details would have been clearer.
Thank you Sadhana! All your videos are very rich. I want to ask you how are you working with the seven of coins in this deck. That card is very difficult for me, because the image has a very different meaning than what I know. I would love to know your opinion. Thank you so much!
In general, the suit of coins is very challenging for me in this deck - uncomfortable even! There's a very shady game of poker in the 7 of Pentacles. The woman in the green dress is signaling another player as she looks at the man-in-the-green-floral-shirt's cards who has a shiner and is barefoot! Are the bugs metaphorical or are they outdoors? Is it a hot summer evening somewhere? The guy in the plaid shirt is standing, which is weird. Don't think that's allowed while playing - not to mention the card up his sleeve. Four coins are gold (sun), 3 coins are silver (moon). Is there a a fairy on the shoulder of the guy in the plaid shirt? So yes, a VERY odd seven of pentacles. This card connects me to Crowley's distain for the 7's in general. It's like he only sees Venus in her excesses - at least when she is low on the Tree of Life. Here Venus is low, off centre and in a Saturn decan. Now Saturn is also the great mother in Binah, so is she scorning her female counterpart way down in the shady, dark corner of Netzach? Life appears rather rough here. Looking at the dog beneath the table and the card up the sleeve, it reminds me that we don't always know what is going on below the surface, which is part of the potato blight story in Pixie's card. The cheaters are standing. Is the seated player honest? I'd say the seated player is here for the long game. The standing one is not. He just wants to win. I don't know if this rambling helps at all, but if any of the rather shady coins cards come up in a reading, I start with describing the card. Usually then something will come through.
@@IntegrativeHealingwithSadhana Wow Sadhana! What a generous response! I thank you very much for taking the time to give me such a detailed reflection. It has helped me a lot. I also perceived that the interpretation was taken from Crowly's vision. For a moment I also thought about replacing the 7 of coins with the extra card "atonement"... maybe sometimes I'll do that and other times I'll let the 7 of coins do the talking as it is in this deck. Thanks a lot. Your videos are a treasure.
This is such a helpful response and evaluation of the 7 of coins card. You mentioned the potato blight story in pixie’s card. I don’t think any of my books discuss that story - is there a particular book or resource where I might find more info about that? Thanks so much!
@@Becky1919 I'm not sure if it's in Secrets of the Waite-Smith or not. The only way to know if the potatoes are ruined is to dig them up. But what happens when we harvest the garden too early? Nature has a funny way of giving us exactly what we need. 7 of Pentacles is a Saturn decan asking for not only discipline, but patience an trust as well. I want to buy this deck. It's gorgeous!!! The colors , the style. Everything speak s to me and each painted particular inspires me. Thank you for this video. I really appreciate your reviews: they are always very accurate.😘🙏🎆🌟
I'd love to know your take on the King of Cups. I've been watching all the videos of this deck and a few people have commented on that one specifically as a 'miss'.
Hi Kellie, in a nutshell, he is comfortable sitting in the muck, the murky, polluted, churned up water. He knows the entire range of emotion and he is there, as your mirror, to let you know that you need to learn to sit in your muck because until you learn to be as ok with the sparkles/flowers/sweetness as you are with the grime, you will not figure out how to live a balanced life emotionally . . . He accepts everything as it is. I am planning on exploring some of this in my live this week on Thursday 6pm PST.
Ay! The reflection of the face in blood in the ten of swords is chilling. The woman in the seven of coins looks like the woman on the fortune card. I might have to get this deck. And I agree about the knight of wands -- go for it :))
What do you think all of those winged insects mean in so many of the cards? I tend to see them as a more natural equivalent to the faeries and sprites flying around in the Everyday Enchantment Tarot.
@@IntegrativeHealingwithSadhana Thank you, I got this name too, but I wasn't sure it was the same name in your vdo ( my poor English listening skill 🥲) so I checked with you again. Thank you so much for your vdo and your reply! 🙏🏻🌷
The empress has one hand on her belly and one on the floor behind her... Thought at first glance I thought it was up to her neck.. I wonder if there was some hidden meaning there
I apologize for not seeing your comment. I'm not sure. The paint is kind of fluid. I wonder if there was a gesture of some sort indicated? My eyes sometimes see different things in these cards.
Empress does not have one hand up her neck. Her left hand is behind her body! Also, these are not mushrooms, these are eggs of the bird that sits just beside them! Unless the bird gave birth to mushrooms... LOL LOL
There was a comment last year wondering if the arm shows fluidity moving from the chest to resting behind her . . . look again. Those are awfully big eggs for that tiny bird. And yes, I agree eggs, not mushrooms. I suggest with this deck that you let your mind wander and not be so rigid in what you see. There is a lot hidden in these cards. Have fun with them.

Nothing phases him. He's totally in control of his emotions. He doesn't sweat the small (or big) stuff.

I'm going to address some of the more mysterious cards on Thursday night. And yes, I have my eye out for him ❤️

That's a cool response Mark. I've had a few emails back and forth with the creator and can't wait for her more in-depth book.
What is the name of the founder of Coven of Ashes again, please ?
It's been a while since I made this video. Just searched it and a FB page came up. Did I say Lauren Davis?

There's so many hidden messages in this deck. The creator said she was going to release an extended guidebook at some point.
