- The Greatest Love - the Real One - is shown at the end of this video. (Correction at screen 4:45 - should be Psalm 34:18 (NIV) "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and save the crushed in spirit." Also, this should have been added at the end: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3 NIV). This was recorded by Rodel (using a Minus One background) in Los Angeles in 1983. The original single was released by George Benson in late 70's and revived by Whitney Houston in 1986. Rodel has a book titled The Life of Rodel Naval - Restored Identity. As per comments by Crispina M. Belen (former Entertainment Editor of Manila Bulletin): "It digs deeply into Rodel's real story ... his journey towards fame and popularity; his struggle surrounding his identity, faith and fitness; and above all his restored faith and confidence in a loving and forgiving God who accepted the wanderer back. Any woman can't help falling in love or admire the late RODEL NAVAL+ He got everything in one whole package too talented, with his sweet boyish good looks and Wow the cool suave timbre, of his voice tone, modulation high medium baritone - alto voice. I first heard his PINOY songs in the 90's my favorite (KAILAN KAYA) but what more, he got that haunting touch when he sings classic English songs I love it. I was in my mid to late 20's back then, I was mesmerized indeed, lol!! Geez!! I love the voice and the good looks at a distance can't help to daydream back then. One of my favorite is well ladies, try to listen to one of his best renditions of one of the religious classic song entitled HOW GREAT THOU ART. He is too young to pass away to leave us all and the world he left behind. He got so much to give. Our prayers are with you RODEL+ May you have eternal rest and peace Or who knows you might be singing with the choir of angels up above. It was amazing how most of our Filipino Artists are PAR EXCELLENCE with the International Talent overseas. But Filipinos are really far more expressive, heartwarming and deeply passionate singers, I do agree with one of the feedbacks given by another lady or fan that RODEL's voice sounded or similar to that of GINO VANELLI a famous Canadian -Italian popular male singer his songs (Living Inside Myself, Nights In Montreal, It Hurts to be In Love); some of his popular songs) an international Musical Artist as well, so true there's MABUHAY PINOY TALENT AROUND THE GLOBE!!🥰❤🙏

Is Bible-believing Christians and the born again christian is same thing? Sorry, I've never heard of Bible-believing Christian, but I'm glad I learned yours. What was like Rodel in one word you can describe him as a brother, individual private person? Because his death made me sad kasi. I never remember him when I was in the Philippines, and that was my loss.

Thank you po. I bet its a good book. God gave him a good talent. I will check it out, and how to get one, someday soon. But for now, to finish my course at malapit na matapos this month. When I get free time, then I will get back with you. Ate, Baptist Church pala yong Bible-believer Christian? I goes to other church, not catholic one, recently, but I forgot what church I have been gone to with my family, lol. I like kasi sa mga good messages na naka lift up and to become closer to God. Siguro, by Rodel's is a way of a road leading me to a good sign, even though I am sad of his death, Ate. Ang life minsan nakakatawa, i never thought of this happening to me, but I like beautiful, inspiring people.
Kaya ko sinabing Bible-believer Christian kasi meron so-called "Christians" and "Born Again" don't bother to read the Bible itself. Also not all Baptists read the Bible. BTW, you're not the only who became closer to God when they read Rodel's book.
