Sensor boxes integration isn't a sensor issue. It's a design issue. Lots of cars have the hidden behind the logo. Lazy/poor integration is a design and engineering issue, not a sensor issue.
Auto stop and lane assist are annoying. I hate how the car will shutoff at a stop sign or if you stop to let someone cross the street, but will stay on at a red light. The lane assist is annoying because I don't like fighting the car.
The stop/start should be personal preference not automatic. Please!
Fr tho
Getting rid of the buttons saves them money. Don't confuse that with saving you money it's a premium for you. If you want to hide buttons take a lesson from the first generation audi TT.
Other car trends that need to die: making everything an EV, killing it off because you can't make it an EV, and making everything a stupid crossover. We all hate this. Sincerely, everyone.
Yes! Stop shoving EVs down everybody’s throat! Also, turning everything into a crossover is straight garbage 🗑️.
dont cars about evs unless they turn the fun cars into evs, but cars becoming crossovers and suvs that makes me pissed
I could care less about EVs. Until the infrastructure is there... there is no point to forced EV. And SCREW CROSSOVERS!!! Put that same power plant/drive tran into a 4-door sedan and watch MPG go up. Cause ya just dropped about 1,000 pounds of uselessness.
Air Conditioning and Radio 📻 controls on the infotainment screen in the Summer. Are no good. The heat makes them black and glitches. You have wait until it gets cold. Then on a red light turn off the car then turn it on to have those controls.
It kept me away from the 2024 S650 Mustang. Prefer nobs buttons and / or switches.
The LiDar Sensors turns on and tries to steer away into slower lane and slows down the car going into a roundabout freeway entrance.
Self drive fails when the Sensors and Cameras are obscured by bugs splatter, bird dropping ( beaches ) ⛱️ road grime or tar
Kinda copied carwows vid
This sums up just some of the reasons I avoid, and have little to no enthusiasm for, new cars entirely. What was missed was polymer engine components/covers, and computer modules for days.
The average owner can't to do any major maintenance or repair on these cars. Every new car has become a BMW clone. For those of us who prefer simplicity and mechanical operation, new cars are just a hands off product. Even mechanics don't want to work on new cars anymore. New cars are little more than expendable comodities that are discarded after 3-7yrs. Not unlike computer systems.
The start/stop feature is cancer. Along with electronic parking brakes. Great list though.
Good content, much more ideal.
Cheers.
I remember the bean shape showing up in the 80's with two models, Ford Tauruses and Audi midsize sedans....unless you want to go back to the mid 30's Chrysler Air flow or a little later to the Tucker (that's a reach though)
A cat trend that needs to die is ever inceasing car prices
you saying cats are responsible for increase in car prices?
@@ralzvyI think so
My 07 S4 does over 175 mph with normal door handles. Unless it's a 200+ mph hypercar, there's no excuse for stupid door handles. Haptic buttons and massive iPad screens just prove it's cheaply made no matter what it costs.
True on so many levels!!!
The tail light thing is US specific. Europe market and everywhere else dont even need to have that 😌
I think grills on EVs look cool and make it look like a car. The Tesla looked ugly as soon as they came out with no fake grill. Also they need to make them real and have the air cool the batteries as your driving down the road. I have no idea why engineers can’t make this happen
The large side mirrors are not bad tho? I have an 05 LaCrosse and the mirrors are some of the widest I've ever seen, however they fit really well with the body lines. Bonus I don't need a small extra mirror to cover my blind spots, since I no longer have blind spots!
Always enjoy your content...thanks folks!
I have a feeling that they watched carwow before making this vid😅
EV's DO need Grills, in fact they require MORE cooling than ICE. Having them smooth is for aerodynamics, they should either have them or not at all, but fake ones look like trash
Playing whack-a-mole on your dashboard 😂😂😂😂😂
Let's not forget our forefathers drove WITHOUT seat belts. Safety is what you make it. And i know if anyone responds they will say "but cars didn't go as fast then" IT DOESN'T MATTER.
And those years cars were solid steel and would hardly even dent. These days they crumple like a tin of tinned food
People in those days had brains. They also didn't have a scrying mirror glued to their hands while they were driving. Back then, there was something called "common sense". Today, it's more like "rare sense". Every new safety feature requires fewer brain cells to operate the vehicle. With automatic braking, drivers will be inclined to throw their reaction time out the window. Why? Because they now have a safety net that can catch them. Granted, these are just the darwin award winners, but the count goes up by the day. Safety systems encourage unintelligence and discourage intelligence.
It's all by design.
Cheers.
Don’t care how the door handle looks if you make it mechanical and not motorized or electronic.
Nothing can make a Ferrari ugly😂.
Cool video, very 21st century. Pretty soon we will have AI cars and humans won't be allowed to drive, think I'm kidding?
bad yap
