I've used Logic for 20 + years (?) and I'm down right embarrassed by how many new short cuts, features and tips I've learned from your concise and easy to understand series! Well done!
I appreciate how you just get to the point, share the info in a clear way with a good blend of telling and showing, then wrap it up, all in a concise informative interesting video. I've learned more from watching a handful of your vids than I have from watching hour+ of some other "instructional" videos. Thank you for your work, it's valuable and appreciated!
This video was very helpful, I have been recording without some of these basics trying to guess at functions. This tutorial is comprehensive and very helpful
Thanks for this edition! Yet another explanation on something I had no idea about! I will defo give it all a try, love the fade in/out option, so helpful
Another great video. So is there any way whatsoever for me to utilize quick swipe with Flex Time on? I had a song that I started and changed the tempo, so after I turned off Flex Time to do quick swipe the waves got longer and none of the drum hits matched up. Do you have a suggestion as to what my next move should be? Thank you, and have a great weekend!
Great Video!- However, I have a question - when recording vocals, after a few passes all the way through the verse... if the singer wants to just punch in a certain "part" in middle of a verse and I set my punch in and punch out red bar to only punch in that spot- when I start editing and comping vocals, the original regions BEFORE the punch will no longer allow me to pull the end of the region out to extend...- it stops and is erased..gone.....It's as if, LP is treating the new punch in region destructively over the prior recorded region and destroying what was there before? what am I doing wrong there?
I've selected all three and so far (after half an hour of audio editing) it seems to be working well although I can predict the frustration it may cause in a future.
hi, guy, thanks for the lesson. will your any session cover the different modulation, expression automation curves? how to copy the modulation curves from one midi region to another region?
Yes, eventually. After we get through the "essentials", I'll be moving into MIDI and MIDI automation, etc. It'll likely be another 20-30 part section that focuses specifically on MIDI.
I've turned on the click zones, but they do not appear in my region. The only thing that appears in the upper right of my region is the trim too. Even the marquee tool is not longer showing up in the lower part of the region. I know the quick zone marquee tool used to work, but it's stopped working. Again, I turned them on in settings
Any luck on this issue? I’m experiencing the same problem. I’m able to get the marquee click zones to appear, but no fade tool. I can’t even get the fade tool to work when selecting the actual tool.
I understand the competition but really wish AL PT & LPX would just merge!!! They all have the same function just different vocabulary and workflow but they doing the same functions!!!

The fade tool click zone is definitely a winner. 👍
I appreciate the "Click Zone" stuff, it's not obvious. So useful.
I dig your style of teaching, and similar taste in work flow. Subscribed
Yes Josh, very useful, my tool bags getting heavy, but my workflow is getting lighter, thankyou brother.

You had me at the Fade Tool Click Zone.🙂 But I see your point about the others. I'd go crazy with the tool switching on its own.
Soooooo helpful!!! Thank you 🙏🙏
Thank you for this!!
Cool again. Very useful. 👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
