First, THANK YOU for this. Tall guys needs some love up in here. I'm about the same height as Bob (but he's 50 lbs less than me? wtf?) and looking at his bike fit numbers are fascinating. I would have assumed that he's world tour crazy in all his dimensions. Seems as though my fit isn't too far off his, well except for the extra 10 cm in reach. So, there's that.
Yeah, its got the 64mm aero wheels, the bike sold by specialized is 6.6kg with 50mm wheels so he can have a 6.8kg bike in the mountains even with 50mm wheels, the perfect bike!
In college my roommate removed the “iz” from the specialized logos on his bike helmet and rode it around campus for a couple of years. Back then to a couple of brash young college kids it was hella funny.
Looks like a custom seat post in there, as instead of the set back post that comes as standard, his looks like its been flipped around, which of course you can't do with a D shape post! Very pro!
Obviously some mistake in measuring, with this setup bar drop should be around 13 cm (or maybe actually 14 cm, I think those more expensive PRO stems are -10 degree)
A very nice bike! The look is clean and simple. Specialized claims it’s as aero as the original Venge with a much cleaner look. It would be at the top of my list for a new bike!
I love the channel, sorry to be pedantic but, 7.16 does not round to 7.1. it rounds to 7.2. It is the tech geek channel we might as well get maths correct as well. ;)
Height from from saddle to bars 100mm. A welcome new addition there Jon. Is Bob a flexie pro or his saddle to bar distance v saddle to bar height ratio common amongst pros? How good is the new Tarmac, what a bike!!!
What BB if fitted hollow tech has to be adapted for bb30 and ceramic speed bearings would need removing. Only ask as I have a sl6 and had to fit praxis BB converter which meant removing ceramic speed bearings
Is that a new seatpost from Specialized? The new SL6 seatpost has a truncated airfoil cross section so it can't just be reversed like the regular round seatpost. Would be interesting to know if this seatpost is one off or available for public.
kind of strange how they did not put any individual team design on it at all. i like the stealthy look, but i couldn't tell which team's bike this was if i didn't knew...
It's surprising we don't see more pro bikes these days with 11-25 or 12-25 cassettes - there are plenty of races / stages where nothing lower than a 39-25 would be needed and it's always advantageous to have a a tight span with jumps as small as possible within the required gear range. I guess they just can't be bothered to tweak the gearing for each race like they used to do in the past when they had fewer gears to play with.
Without checking Shimano's page isn't the 25-11 in fact a 25-12!!? It would appear to be a 25-12 in the video.. I use the same as there are no steps of two teeth over a wider range of the cassette.. Cheers Nick
Nick Banham there’s both, however the 12-25 is meant more for triathlon, whereas the 11-25 is more of a road setup as you’d want the 11 in place of the 12 for sprinting. 11-25 (11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23-25) 12-25 ( 12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-21-23-25)
Hey RB, You are correct;-) obviously.. I had forgotten.. I prefer the 12-25 simply as it has an 18T which is missing from most if not all other combo's..?
I'm quite sure this bike doesen't meet the rule of the saddeltipp beeing five cm behind the BB is this stupid rule finaly relaxt? And mey we see steeper seetangels on roadbikes in future?
I'm pretty sure that seatpost isn't reversible. The rear wheel is on a stand that raises it a centimeter or two, which rotates the seat forward. I didn't draw any lines, but eyeballing would suggest that it is right on the 5cm limit. There are also the morphological exceptions if this isn't the case.
If they offered this in some of that super shiny crazy blue/purple metallic then it would just be perfect. I'd have to sell someone else's organ and get one.
WELCOME TO THE JUNGEL
I dig it..
Quite a forward position..
Absolut top ! Geniale Kombi mit den Roval 64 !!!

Pretty light considering it has discs and relatively deep wheels.
ScottieWM86 yeh it’s nice

The bars don't flare out, the hoods are pointed inward to get more aero
Love the matte black colour!

I love that new Tarmac! On my wish list.
Bravo disc brakes!!!amazing disc bikes spcialized is doing!
Do like this new Specialized. Classic look.
What a bike!!!!!!!!! I’m a big fan of the disc brakes, it’s the future!! 😂 nice vids guys keep them coming!
What a great bike, specialized continue to make such great bikes for the pro peloton and cyclists in general. 👍🏽🔥
How is the saddle to bar drop only 10 cm when the saddle height is 79.5 cm, the frame size 56, and the stem is slammed?
Obviously some mistake in measuring, with this setup bar drop should be around 13 cm (or maybe actually 14 cm, I think those more expensive PRO stems are -10 degree)

nice concave retul top cap, perfect for collecting sweat and rusting the bolt.
thats an updated version of the aerofly handlebars, isnt it ? looks awesome
That bike is amazing
Front and rear Rotors don't match? DA front XTR rear, Why?
I love the channel, sorry to be pedantic but, 7.16 does not round to 7.1. it rounds to 7.2. It is the tech geek channel we might as well get maths correct as well. ;)
It shouldn't be pedantic on a channel called GCN Tech.
One cracking looking bike!
Size 56? Jungels is about 6' 3". How does that work?
He is a super tall, super bendy ITT specialist. Quite like Bradley Wiggins.
Did u notice how the bars wear flat to the ground. NICE
Interesting that the slight layback seatpost is angled forward.🤔
Those rims had brake pad breaking surface?
What kind of tape is used to secured the bar tape at the tops?
Funny, but I don't recall seeing Bob Jungels racing on this bike. I'm pretty sure that I saw him racing on a rim braked model?
Height from from saddle to bars 100mm. A welcome new addition there Jon. Is Bob a flexie pro or his saddle to bar distance v saddle to bar height ratio common amongst pros? How good is the new Tarmac, what a bike!!!
Want to give a question about the seatpost. Is he turnover his seatpost? Or specialized have 2 seatpost models?
shimano wireless Di2 patent spotted ?????
What BB if fitted hollow tech has to be adapted for bb30 and ceramic speed bearings would need removing.
Only ask as I have a sl6 and had to fit praxis BB converter which meant removing ceramic speed bearings

Nice, I'm actually building a very similar Tarmac build, but with Zipp 303 Firecrest Carbon.
Awesome! A beautiful bike. 🤩🤑
Beautiful!!
ITS SO DAMN PERFECT. I would definitely sell my girlfriend for one of these, if i had a one.
Namigasuke omoroi!
LOL!
LOL. I think you just answered why you don’t have one!
$500 from uncle Ali
I live for every race that Bob Jungels is in that Sean Kelly also commentates on so I can hear him say "boob yoongils"
Great bike 🚴♂️👍👍👍
kind of strange how they did not put any individual team design on it at all. i like the stealthy look, but i couldn't tell which team's bike this was if i didn't knew...
I love Venge.
Threaded bb?
Is that a custom seat post? it looks like there's no layback and that its moved forward instead
Strange that the front rotor is the new black centered Dura Ace version, but at the rear has the older icetech RT99 fin version
Pavel Sedlinskiy if you see the shape of the post it has a flat back to it and a rounded front so it can't be turned around
You can’t get one of these seat posts yet. Dealer told me that in may a zero offset seat post will be available.
Yes, you can. I have the the Tarmac SL6 with rim brakes and zero setback seat post due to my geometry. Same post as Jungel's.
So why does he have 2 different kinds of rotors?
I like it, it has disc brakes.
Awesome bike, I’m looking for a used one
THAT is a nice looking bike!!
Had auto subs on , he is called Young Girls & Bob Google, not sure which I prefer.
world of DISK BRAKE ROAD!!!!
Without checking Shimano's page isn't the 25-11 in fact a 25-12!!? It would appear to be a 25-12 in the video.. I use the same as there are no steps of two teeth over a wider range
of the cassette.. Cheers Nick

11-25 (11-12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-23-25)
12-25 ( 12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-21-23-25)
Hey RB, You are correct;-) obviously.. I had forgotten.. I prefer the 12-25 simply as it has an 18T which is missing from most if not all other combo's..?
OK 11-23 has an 18T as well but I cannot pull a 23 up the hills.. I'm an old gibber..
Jon is Great:)
What id give for this bike. It’s just 😍
Nic bike j.pat from Belgium 🚲
Looks like a custom seatpost. Specialized specs the bike with a layback Post, and I don’t believe a zero setback is available. Very interesting!
Wup just kidding the my totally do have one. RIP.
Microphone closer to the freehub body for the spin, and then should be in slo-mo!
I'm quite sure this bike doesen't meet the rule of the saddeltipp beeing five cm behind the BB is this stupid rule finaly relaxt? And mey we see steeper seetangels on roadbikes in future?
Philipp Straube think it’s only for tt bikes?
Look’s weird
Why don't specialized make them use their own s-works cranks?
Super Nice!
It's pretty light
Super nice
It would be a great bike with Sram Etap!
I've noticed he reversed the seatpost so he can bring his seat closer to the handlebar, that position looks barely legal
They Live We See it is legal now as UCI have relaxed the rule that covers that area.
7.1 it damn light...for that kind of bike
Mi piace. Mi dispiace che abbia i freni a disco che la rendono meno leggera e più complicata e costosa da manutenere.
Sweet+!
hmm 140/140 rotors
Stealth machine
More freehub sounds please!
If they offered this in some of that super shiny crazy blue/purple metallic then it would just be perfect. I'd have to sell someone else's organ and get one.
I L O V E D IT
Um, yes please.
A bit monochromatic, but it answered my question about whether you can flip the seatpost on the Tarmac... short femur people unite.
I'll have 2 please
I thought it would be even lighter
Get your horn out Jon. SUPER NICE!.
Ohh.....my....
Holy $#*T😮
Still think the Tarmac SL5 frame looked better, just saying...
7.16 KG with 64mm deep dish and disc brakes. Oof. The future is here.
Hub sound is boring because it's the 18t ratchet. A 15,000$ bike and they cut on the 150$ option?
this has to be the lowest saddle setback in pro history, no offset on the stem, saddle all the way to the front.
Noice
This bike is madd sexy
these bikes just makes me hate my suncross racer star
doesn't like like team livery
It’s all so bland apart from the forward facing zero post......that’s unusual
and hoods going slightly inwards ;-)
Freehub needs degreeser make louder 😂
Quand je vois le prix je suis ptdrrrr
BBBBBBB...Bad to the bone
That is not a 4iiii power meter. That is the Specialized power cranks. Check their website broh
Free hub sound... Its not funny, and nobody cares.
very boring. Yawn.
