    Concubine Rong is right. She's with her young lover now. If some of you didn't understand, here is my understanding throughout the series: When Hongli ascends to the throne, the man that Qing Ying loved the most is gone. It's not Hongli anymore, it's Qianlong. The young love is gone there. It doesn't fade or slowly disappear. NO. It's gone in a snap when he sits on the throne. Hongli there can be considered dead. The young and sweet boy that Qing Ying loved. But Ruyi's Qing Ying is still with her, alive and holding on. Sadly, Qing Ying sees that Hongli is not by her side anymore. But it is a good thing that Ruyi died as Qing Ying and was reunited on the other side of life with Hongli. Hongli and Qing Yng are together again. The young love of Hongli and Qing Ying.
    And if some of you didn't see Rong Pei there. It is because she took her own life to follow Ruyi and continue serving her.

    It was the last and only kindness Hongli could give Ruyi after her death. He knew she wanted to be free of the Forbidden City, and of the title of Empress. The only thing she ever wanted in her life was to walk side by side with Hongli and love him as best she can. He made that impossible, and she finally broke their love and agreement, and cut her hair.
    He realized after the fact that she was always faithful to him, and wanted the best for him, and he was too blinded to see it. Removing every mention of her, and putting her in Imperial Noble Consort Chun's tomb was his last kindness. She was free, and in death was next to her closest friend beside Hailan (who hadn't died yet). It was too little, too late.

    I hate to say it but he showed his feelings for Empress Ruyi too late and he still turned it so it was her fault. Sorry but Ruyi was not reckless or mad in life. She held a true course in her love for the empower until he pushed her too far and Ruyi realized her love was in vain. I know she died of tuberculosis but I think she actually died of a broken heart. Knowing finally that she would never have his love even after all the compromising situations he put her in. All of the pain he caused her just because he couldn't possibly show he truly cared for her. Constantly saying to forget about his past wrongs and that they were not his fault. Just my honest opinion.

    • @Destiny2Seishi
      @Destiny2Seishi 2 года назад +24

      It always bothered me how often he used the “it’s in the past” excuse, as if such things can remain in the past only. In order for something to truly remain in the past, it must never occur again in the future; and that involves learning from your mistakes and putting in the effort in making sure that it never happens again. Otherwise, there’s no point in him saying so ‘cus there’s nothing stopping him from repeating the same mistakes over and over again.
      It’s also kind of ironic that he even uses that excuse so often too. He would always bring up past mistakes and behaviours in the present when it came to those whom he felt were not sincere or have wronged him in some way and would even go as far as to hold it against them (like with Noble Consort Chun and her son). However when it came to his own mistakes and behaviours, he’ll do at most the bare minimum effort in making amends and then end it there as if that’s enough to mend the hurt that he’s caused. It’s hypocritical to say the least and shows how insincere he is in general if it doesn’t benefit him. One could blame his status or even the way he was raised as to excuse this stance, but even so, it still doesn’t justify it. All of the things that he originally wanted - the love of his wife, the sincerity of his harem and even the loyalty of his children - would be things that he could never attain himself not because he’s the Emperor, but because of his own part in the schemes and his own insincerity towards everyone close to him, especially Ruyi. He expects sincerity, but can’t even be bothered to deliver it himself.

    Morir era lo mejor para Ruyi, aunque ya habían sido castigadas las malas, el emperador no se merecía ninguna oportunidad más con Ruyi, y lo mejor es que le dijo sus verdades al emperador y pudo desahogarse y terminar con él, Ruyi logró hacer justicia por todos los inocentes que fueron asesinados y aclarar todo lo que inventaron de ella, al final limpio el camino para su hijo, por eso murió tranquila. Con lo feliz que hubiesen sido, si el emperador la hubiese protegido y cuidado bien, ese emperador se merecía morir solo y con remordimientos por lo que le hizo a Ruyi 😤.

    Oh Pachá QianLong. Los casi 90 años de vida que tuviste, no alcanzaron para redimir las malas acciones que tuviste para con la única mujer que te amó desinteresadamente Ruyi que, de lo único que se preocupó fue de tu bienestar y el de sus hijos. Pero claro, esto visto a los ojos llenos de ambición y maldad, no les convenía. Le prestaste oídos a aquellos que lo único que querían, era destruir a Ruyi. Qué suerte tuvieron, ahí estabas tú y tú hija, la perla más valiosa de Imperio, soplandote al oído, los vientos de maldad entonces, recordé las palabras que una vez le dijiste a Ruyi. (Mis manos, siempre sostendrán las tuyas y nunca dejaré que caigas al precipicio). Maldito seas, no solo le soltaste la mano sino que, la empujaste al abismo..

Ruyi was showing both of those type of supporting the man she fell in love by keeping the promise of her words but her husband didn't keep his end of his promise and just hurt her very deeply so much she died full of pain in her heart. Yes he had a tough job, I understand that, but he was supposed to be an example to his family and people of filial piety, instead he made it a mockery.
    I found his cutting of his hair and placing it into the box with Ruyi’s hair offensive.
    He caused her so much pain and humiliation in her life even though she faithfully supported him; even to the point of asking her to make a concubine give into him.

He had sex with so many women, then he had countless sex with Wei Yanyan so she had so many children with him, and she was worse than Fuca, A Ruo and the rest. He never really loved Ruyi. If you love her, you would believe her. I hope she meets Ling Yunche in her afterlife. He would defend her with his life. Whereas the emperor always full of doubt & suspicion. He did not respect her at all. Slapped her around, spoke to her harshly in front of the harem, grounded her a few times. He generally treated her like garbage.
