I’ve just played my first game in a pair of these after breaking them in around the house. A few people on here not impressed by the leather, but it’s sumptuous on my pair and wraps perfectly around my foot. I love it. My only complaint is about the heel. The lockdown is very poor, and the outer heel is made of this very cheap looking material which already looks a mess after one game and is impossible to clean. Otherwise great boots!
Thanks for the review really helpful. Is the pro weight pretty similar to the elite? Are there any other differences? The $100 difference seems stew for just K leather…
I am a center mid, so never been into the vapors and light cleats. I always liked my cleats nice and firm, so I get nothing but kangroo. My favorite has always been the tiempo. I have owen every singel one. The Tiempo 9 are the best tiempo by far (in my humble opinion). They are light like the vapors but firm and steady like the prior Tiempos.
do u think it’s worth it to get the tiempo 9 elite? or are the tiempo 9 pros basically the same

The sad part is that in Brasil we dont have de premiers, but the facts that tiempos are so underrated and undervalued, i still be able to get a pair of tiempos to a price that costs less than 100 dollars in the nike website .
I could see how you would come to that conclusion. The Legends are decent but nothing spectacular IMO

Josh, question on the sizing. You have always suggested to purchase half size up on the Tiempo's (5, 6, 7 series) now you recommend to go true to size. Did anything change with the 9 series Tiempo's or is the sizing the same as previous Tiempo series? Thanks.

@@Benjamin-yp5nginteresting, I just tried my friend’s Legend 9 Elite in size 10US (same size I wear in Vapors and all other shoes Vans, Adidas, etc.) and they felt a little small like if they were a 9.5 it felt like I couldn’t stretch my toes all the way.
How would y’all say the sizes run? Like do they run bigger than a normal shoe size? I’m an 11 in regular shoes so would an 11 in these cleats be fine to or should I get bigger?
hi, just wanna share my experience (not with the tiempos). i just bought a phantom vsn2 elite for less than half the price and it's really one of the most comfortable boots i've worn in a long time. i have medium to wide feet, the phantom gt just gives excruciating pain on the sides, it's far too narrow for my feet but the vsn2 is absolutely perfect. requires no break-in time whatsoever. i love it so much shame it's discontinued
is it better than the vsn 1 to you?
I do have one of these it's red maroonish and I love it because I'm a fullback like Marcelo and I'm 14

These are the best boots I've worn since 2015. My favorite boots were the Adidas 11pro, tried to switch multiple times and wouldn't feel good. These are my go to now!
Yeah i miss my 11pros. Playing in 19.1 copas at the moment but I might have to make the switch.
Completely agree I’ve always stayed away from tiempos because of the “clunkyness” of the past but this generation are so light and comfortable def the best boots I’ve worn probably since hypervenom 1.

I was at Ross and I saw cleats only to realize they were tiempo legend 9 elites for 26 bucks

I’m underwhelmed by the current generation of Tiempos, they really don’t seem to have a USP. The previous Tiempos had a unique feel that admittedly took your foot further away from the leather but the current ones feel rather basic in comparison.

@@hannesljung8786 I found it too thin and too tight to be comfortable. A real downgrade from the tongues on the Legend 7 and 8.

Hey Josh, I‘m moving to a new club next week. For the next three months we will play on artificial grass which is really short and the ground is pretty hard. I’ve already played with my Phantom GT AG boots on it and felt they were too hard and „high“ for the ground. I‘m now debating whether to go for the Mercurial/Tiempo AG plate which is more AG specific or for the Mercurial Zoom Vapor 14 Pro Turf. While I prefer „real Football boots“ to turf ones I‘m not sure which to take this time 1. because Nike Mercurials are sooo expensive even on sale atm 2. because I‘m not sure which boots are better suited to the ground. When is a ground AG and when turf? I don‘t really know the difference. I‘m a Mercurial guy so even tho I know the Puma soleplates might be ideal I‘m not looking into those. Can you help me please. Thanks
I will say I have the Mercurial zoom vapor 14 turf and they work perfect in AG/turf. I haven’t tried the Mercurial/Tiempo AG plate yet but if you do let me know your experience. In pictures the studs seem high but I haven’t seen how they look on feet.

@@lcerro12 will order next week bc I‘m waiting for the new Nike pack to drop so prices of the old colorway will come done hopefully. I will go for the Vapor. Tiempo was only an Option of the Price was a lot better but it’s not. Vapor has been my weapon for a long long time now so no need to change

I bought a pair of these legend 9 elites size 10.5 uk and the left boot is cutting my toes a bit. Anyone else have an issue with this? The previous pair I had were the legend 8 elite, also size 10.5 and they fitted me perfectly. I found the leather to be much softer on the legend 8 as well

I’m sooooooooo disappointed in these boots… Been a Tiempo fan for a long time. The leather is cheaper quality than previous versions, the lockdown and tech is significantly less, the memory foam inserts HURT my small toe on the side - I see blisters coming soon, and the lacing system goes too far and eats much of the toe box area. And because of that, I can’t even stretch them a little to fit in my usual 8.5 so I gotta go one size higher. All in all I was expecting to love these boots, but I cannot wait for the next Tiempo version……

@@pierrehahn64 I really enjoyed them. One of the best pair of cleats i've owned. They hurt my feet after a bit, but that might just be my feet and i'm getting old. The touch is great. I have wide feet and i'm pretty sure my left foot is bigger than my right foot. Outside of my feet hurting eventually, they're pretty comfortable. Still not the biggest fan of the color, which was the pinkish colorway, but it doesn't bother me.
There is one alternative you missed out - the Predcopx
