After 2 years of Tiempo Legend 7, the Legend 8 is finally here, and I don't want to say that I'm disappointed, but I do think it could been so much better. Now featuring a diamond textured kangaroo leather upper, an internal Quadfit system and what they're calling a Flyknit Tunnel, there's a lot going on!

Legend 7 looks like a walking condom wrapped around your feet. Whilst 8 has appearance of a vapor with added leather. Long time vapor, now converted to tiempo 8, everything like a vapor, plus touch and comfort, hope feature Tiempo installment don't stray to much away from 8 appearance

Thanks for the honest opinion on the diamond texture. I'm done with Nike's gimmicks and really irritated that they've ruined a great pair of boots. I guess the Premier II's are still there.

Step 1 Take a hypervenom and turn the flyknit into leather

Good thing I watched this video. I would have a regular to slim foot, my mercurial fit perfectly but these made me feel like I had really chunky mid-foot when I 1st put them on. It was just the Flyknit tunnel, got used to it fairly fast, it was just the initial try on

I just got the Legend 7 from the Game Over pack. Best colorway IMO so I'll pass on the 8s seeing how it isn't really better, or worse.

Flywire was just one element of the lockdown provided on the Legend 7, not the only thing holding your foot in place and providing structure. The lockdown on the 7 is better in the traditional sense, simply due to the upper being more structured. The difference between the two in regards to overall responsiveness is minimal though.
The first 5 seconds of the video had me laughing hard...my man tossed the boots and talked about the bag lol

It’s up to the phantom venoms to keep flywire going. Nike is slowly getting rid of it..
Got to try these on and they are quite comfortable, but I also tried on the Copa19+ and that fit more tightly.

This feels less like the change for change’s sake than other boots that you’ve complained/commented on before. There are real changes that you’ve noticed

Rebula 3 for sure, interesting to see if even the Rebula elite (made in Indonesia) is better.
How elastic is the Flyknit tunnel? Will it be tight and restrictive for high arched, high volume feet or does it provide the same customization as a traditional tongue?
It provides as much tension as a sock. It's not tight or structured enough to really have any significant impact on comfort.
Hope there good cause tiempos are my favourite boots
i don't understand why tiempo 8 got so much hate. nike already has the premier for pure leather touch. ofcourse they'd equipped the tiempo 8 with as many technologies possible.

So these are true to size rather than the usual half a size small for previous Tiempos?
For whatever reason the Legend 7 sole plate gives me mid foot pain. Something the 5 and 6 didn't. I prefer the rear studs to be like the 5 and the 6 ... more rounded. Sucks they kept the same stud config.

It would have been great just a Leather and Fly Tapes instead of Fly Cables construction. And no synthetic leather covering the rear Flyknit portion. I bet the next takedown will be the best of the new gen. Hopefully less structure.
Im already curious if the first takedown on these is as good as the pro for the legend 7.
I don’t know, but I feel this isn’t much of an improvement to the legend 7, so that got me thinking probably the 9 would at least be highly improved.

If I wore a size 8.5 in past tiempo models because they usually fit a half size small should I order these in a size 8 (true to size) or 8.5 like previous models? For other reference I wear a size 8 in the phantomvenoms

Honestly at first I looked at these I was like oh no they totally ruined the tiempo line, but as I saw them on feet and really took a look at them they aren’t that bad... still I like the 7s more.

It seems like it would be considered a great boot if it were a Magista Opus, but it just happens to be made of kangaroo leather instead of kangalite. Like if you didn’t have other preferences or expectations for leather boots it would be objectively very good
It is objectively very good, but is lacking in regards to leather feel.
