    Great demo! I love the Pitt Pens. I hadn't heard of these brush markers. I am impressed with the caps matching the actual colors!😊

    On what paper did you make the swatches? Do you remember by any chance? I have a bunch of water-based markers and I don't know on what paper it's best to use them.
    The bug turned out absolutely gorgeous

      Thank you so much! I used the watercolor paper from Gersteacker 200g m2. Their own brand.. Its ok.. but I would buy a better one. for studies and stuff it's enough I think. But I need a better one soon.. its too wavy in the end and sometimes I have the feeling as it absorbes water ..

      @@xoonaniart than you very much for the answer. I am looking for a good paper to use with similar products and the good watercolor paper soaks it too quickly. I really liked how you managed to activate the ink and the final piece. It looks like we'll have to look for a good paper. 😉
      If you happen to stumble upon any, I would love to see a video with another piece like this bug 😍 made on the paper.

      @@huskytail Ok I will do this :) It would be great if the big art supply stores had sth like a paper test pack.. like you got it from print companies.. test paper sheets.. I would buy such a pack to try them all out. Because I think everybody have their own wishes what the paper should have or not have... so you could find the right one.

    Do you know how these compare to Tombow dual markers? I've been struggling to get the Tombows to work for me, but these - at least on video - appear to be somewhat better and easier to work with (especially when adding water).

      Hey, I rly don't know sorry.. I never worked with the Tomboy Markers. I only can recommend these Goldfaber Aqua because I tested them and they do a great job! But I have no comparison. It was my first time using these kind of markers. Maybe you can get single Markers from each brand and try them out. Or small Sets. Goldfaber has small sets too.. I think with 6 markers in different color schemes.

    May i know if the colours will contaminate the markers tips itself since you brushed another coloured marker on top of the existing Ink?

    • @xoonaniart
      @xoonaniart  Месяц назад

      The tips will be slightly colored from the other color. But if you are continue, then they are quickly clean again. You can also use another piece of paper to clean your tips.

    I love these kind of markers but they are kind if pricy for Gold Fiber. I will see if I can get a set of 6.

    Oh! I've seen you using these in later videos and was wondering what they were! They seem fantastic. Also a very pretty beetle, wow!
    What paper did you use in this video? Any recs in that department? I only have one pad of watercolour paper and it buckles at the smallest amount of water even if I tape all the edges down, and it wasn't even cheap, so I'm super confused about paper...

    • @xoonaniart
      @xoonaniart  Год назад +1

      Hey! Thank you😊 In this video I use a sketchbook with Canson XL Watercolor Paper inside. Watercolorpaper should be good for these markers. Paper is a mysterious thing... 😅 which one do you have?

    • @idlewildwind
      @idlewildwind Год назад

      @@xoonaniart Thanks for the tip! My pad is also Canson, but it's Mixed Media. Clearly paper versatility is not a good thing when water is involved...!

    Watercolor marker usual leave a strong shadow of the strokes, when diluted with water. What paper is this? In my experience, very few paper are suitable for watercolor markers and the shadow is minimal but not entirely invisible. Because I already have a huge collection and the Albrecht Dürer watercolor marker, I so far restrained myself from buying this set ... now I'm not so sure, I made the right decision. Sigh

      Hey! I used it on the home-brand paper from Gerstaecker for the swatches and the Sketchbook is the home-brand watercolor sketchbook from Boesner. As you can see these papers are not high end quality brands. I also have to try out more different kinds of watercolor papers.. For these markers the paper I used, worked really good. And I think its important to work not too slow.. If the strokes dry completely then you can see the the stroke shadow a bit after using water.. but in my experience the strokes melt away in my normal workflow.. I can recommend them. I also tested the Molotow Aqua Color Brush pens.. They are working also good in my sketchbook, but I like the Faber Castel more. Perhaps I should test them next to each other to see if there is any difference. 🤔 I will do this in my next Sketchbook session. I hope this was helpful for you 😀

    • @silkeschumann7261
      @silkeschumann7261 Год назад +1

      @@xoonaniart It is a question of the paper. My very thick green gerstaecker sketchpad sucked up the ink and didn't move at all. However, I could layer without paper pilling. So I don't regret having them in my stash after all.

      All these questions in the comments here brought me to a comparison video between Goldfaber and another brand. It comes out on Friday 20:30 it was an eye opening test 😀 This is part 1. after that, there will be part 2 in which I'm testing out 14 different papers.... I hope this will help us all to understand what's going on with these products 😆💪
