Vielen dank für das informative Video. Spannend! Für mich würde die Entscheidung auf das Mixed media Pad fallen, da kommt dann halt einfach auf der Rückseite ein Acryl oder Gouache Bild, wenns durchblutet. Wobei ich begeistert bin wie sich die Aquamarker auf dem Bleedproof Paper verhalten. Vielen Dank für deine Eindrücke und die beiden süßen Artworks 😍❤

Heute kam das neue Marker Pad endlich an und ich bin bis jetzt super zufrieden damit. Funktioniert wunderbar mit meinen Chotune Markern (Brush Marker von A-zon). Das 48er Marker Set von Ohuhu hab ich mir auch dazu bestellt, zum testen. Und ich muss sagen, dass ich die Marker echt enttäuschend fand. Nicht in ihrer grundsätzlichen Performance, sondern dem eher schlechten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Brushspitze ist extrem hart und unflexibel. Dadurch lassen sich keine größeren Flächen ausmalen oder gar schöne Übergänge erstellen. Meine Chotune Marker haben ebenfalls eine doppelseitige Brushspitze. Diese ist aber deutlich flexibler und kratzt nicht so übers Papier. Und die Marker sind nur halb so teuer, wie die Ohuhus. Das 168er Set kostet €50. Die Minen sind genauso groß und üppig gefüllt, wie die von Ohuhu. Für den Preis, den ich für Ohuhu Marker zahlen muss, hätte ich echt mehr Qualität erwartet. Die Marker gehen daher wieder zurück an den Absender und ich erfreue mich weiter an meinen Chotune. Kann den ganzen Hype um die Ohuhu's echt nicht nachvollziehen. :/ Aber das Papier ist definitiv nice.

Very interesting, I didn’t know they released this new marker pad! What a great and thorough review. The paper reminds me of the Rendr paper. It’s also completely bleed proof for alcohol markers but they don’t blend well on it, so I wasn’t a fan unfortunately

The blender is not really a blender, but an eraser, in case you go over the line. There is a coating on the bleedproof paper, thus the grey colour. It takes longer for the marker to dry. All this is written on the instructions. Both drawings turned out pretty. Keep creating 💜💛💙

I am curious how the Ohuhu bleed-proof paper compares to the Rendr paper. Hopefully someone will do that comparison eventually. Loved your artwork. ❤

I keep trying with alcohol markers but I am not a fan. The bleed and the blender frustrate me as well as that initial darkening of the paper. Having said that I have done a few great drawings

I love how whimsical your art is. It reminds me of books I read as a child. I hated the Art Creations sketchbooks when I first tried them because the paper is so smooth and I LOVE tooth in my paper, but they’re growing on me! I bought a big one the first time and recently got a medium sized one and the small square one for travel.

May i know if the colours will contaminate the markers tips itself since you brushed another coloured marker on top of the existing Ink?

Ah, the pigment information. I find it's an interesting aspect of painting... but a bit overwhelming most the time. I duve into it when I'm about to make a purchase or I'm trying something new... and I usually try new things out when I'm stumped or bored or at a dead-end. (dead- end is an expression meaning the end of the road).❤ Sometimes it's a new product, but sometimes it's a new technique or style... sometimes both. ❤ Getting a new product can Inspire and put the spark back in your joy of creativity.

Lovely painting with luminous poppies Xoonani🌞. I’ve not tried these but was hoping they would suit you & behave in a palette. I have tried Shinhan’s hybrid gouache, Shinhan Pass. I really love them but haven’t tried to palette them yet 🤞. I remember Mijello sells a giant tube of white, so I hope you can get your hands on that. The Mijello has A lovely color range so I may seek these out eventually. Thanks so much for sharing &hope to see more of whatever you’d like to paint with these. Take care 👋💜👋

Very nice video as always ❤. It's very interesting to see the drying behavior of these paints. I usually use schmincke and winsor and newton gouache paints. Some of them crack a lot. It is driving me crazy 🤣... I love the little monsters and plant paintings/nature inspired paintings you do. Your paintings always tell stories. To me they are never boring. But I'd also like to see landscape paintings of yours or combination of your creatures with portrait. 😃 I'm going through phases like this as well, where i start to get bored of the subjects or start to doubt myself and where to go with my art. So it's really nice to see how other artists cope with that. Thank you for sharing.😊

I don’t think they should have released most of these paints. I ignored the videos showing the streakiness due to my art supply obsession but I wish I hadn’t. I used several different of the best quality cotton papers and even diluted them right down to almost no pigment and still the gummy streakiness. The binder also dries at a different rate to the water so you get patches of dry paint then clumps of darker paint that takes ages to dry. I would only recommend buying these if you want a very pretty box and you want your artwork to have a faux-naive look to the finished texture. Two yellows are okay (of the two sets) and the blue is alright and a matte brown colour. The rest are honestly some of the worst paints I’ve ever used and I have a lot lot of paints. I find it hard to let go of art supplies I don’t use much (the PH Martin’s watercolours for example) but I’m considering selling these and losing most my money. In context the only other paints I ever gave away were cotman, and cotman are mostly better than these. Green earth is always a very pale pigment and often gummy but this one just dries so badly and clumps and you can’t get a nice fine wash with it. Wet in wet the paint doesn’t budge an inch.

Are they refillable? 🤔🤞 I try to get eco-friendly supplies whenever possible.
