Alex, The pool house is looking awesome. I think your guests will regret y'all not putting a shower out there. When we visit my parents we stay in a little place they provide for us & it has everything except a shower. It's a pain to go to the big house every day to get a shower. But we're still grateful it's a free place to stay. 😊
I must have missed something but is this supposed to be a place for people to sleep? Where is the bed and bedroom? I haven't watched all videos so maybe I missed it. I agree you need a shower if people are sleeping there. It seems odd to go to so much trouble with everything else and not have a shower??
I thought poolhouses are literally there to change and shower to avoid having people traipse across the yard, tracking water into the main house wet from the pool lol. They can't even rinse off to avoid getting the furniture full of chlorine etc.

You know what would look nice, is two wood shelves on the empty side of the window. And I love those lawn chairs you found in a storage room they are awesome.
How an idea can evolve from a storage & sorting area to a self contained guest cottage. Remarkable addition to an already lovely home. Reminds me of some video I have seen of estates of 60 years ago, where the final product was livable, practical, and functional. Well done indeed, Alex.

That is one snazzy looking pool house/guest house/sorting garage! Great job and you really made it feel like an extension of your home! Thumbs up to Jason for having the patience to put all that furniture together! And a really nice wooden coat hanger your sister made! Just a suggestion, maybe raise the paintings a little higher on each side of the cabinet since you have the higher ceilings. Visually, It might help make it seem taller. But otherwise, thumbs up on everything! 👍

I love the decor! The darker wood grounds the area well and adds a vintage touch. Just a suggestion, which I'm sure you've thought of, you could add some storage baskets below your "dresser" and store games or pool toys or whatever you want close but hidden.
Looking great, y'all. My eyes kept expecting to see the art moved up a bit, so they are closer to the height of the window frame, and not so close to the countertop. If not then replaced with something a bit more vertical that makes that side of the room feel less squashed. Anyway, glad it's all set up, and ready to go!

That space looks great! Hey, you almost grabbed it by accident BUT, that cabinet face just under the sink can be made to tip out to store things like those drain plug/strainers and other assorted accessories countertop sink related --- sponges, scotch-brite pads...etc. 2 little side hinges. Very neat and tidy! It keeps them off your rather handsome countertop. Well done, ALL!

The pool house is looking great. I love mixing woods so that never even caught my eye. Eclectic, Alex. You and Melissa commenting similarly about the furniture reminded me of when my nephew got married to a girl from Nantucket. (No nasty limericks here!) Even though it was almost 30 years ago, bringing a car over on the ferry was very expensive, so while my sister went up at the beginning of the week and took her car over, the rest of us stayed on the mainland and only went out to Nantucket the day of the wedding, with our niece meeting each of us at the ferry and driving us to the church. It happened that each of us sisters was in a separate car load, and my niece Stacy, who was our chauffeur, very much enjoyed the craziness of hearing each of us comment about the cobbled streets in almost identical words: "These streets are so adorable but I bet they're horrible on cars!" :)
Beautiful space you and your family have created here, Alex. The metal grates go in the bottom of the sink. I have a fireclay sink and those grates are so handy to protect the sink surface from hot pans and stains. Not sure that they create quite as much advantage in a stainless sink, but its nice to be able to rinse away the debris underneath whatever dishes you have stacked in the sink.
For a greater experience I suggest to put some STEREO Amp + Speakers, nothing crazy just two speakers in corners on a TV wall. For that much space at least 100-150watss per channel in RMS + maybe some subwoofer. You could set some silent background music like nature sounds.
I absolutely love your building. I Love the refrigerator I like that look. It reminds me when you were doing the Potter house. The wall was painted in the kitchen that same color I think it's so cool and the furniture is really good too. It's all coming together.😊😊

Thinking it was marble wow they spent a fortune on the pool house bathroom floor😂Then you came out & showed the rest that it wasn’t marble but instead epoxy. I was forgetting. I’m so glad the company came back & fixed it. It came out so much better. Y’all are doing a fantastic job & you and Melissa have been blessed to have had children. I wish I could have had children they are such a big help to y’all. Because now that I’m older and on my own, it’s very difficult trying to do things by myself. Alexander , you may want to think about a 2 burner induction counter top unit. Inexpensive option for cooking
PBI: I’m looking at them as a fill-in until we are ready for a kitchen remodel, so have been checking reviews.
Induction is the way to go.
