Yup, my fish emptied my water lilly baskets of all the small stones I put on top of the pond soil. Going to get some of these size pebbles now. That'll fox 'em!
I have a big koi pond that is 2 meters deep. I've been inspired by your channel and want to give my pond a more natural look by adding plans. But can koi knock those baskets over with the risk that all the rocks fall in to the water? With the risk of getting a leak of some sort?
no not the big baskets, best thing is to ensure you build a decent shelf with large baskets, you could always secure them to the edge with wire or similar if worried cheers

Oh no ,I will have to redo my water lily. At least second time around I will be potting it correctly. 😊
Many thanks for the comment
I’m going to do exactly this👍❤️
Where can purchase the material that goes in the pot?
i do wish you were down here in Devon ... my Pond is like 25 years old and soooo tired :( Excellent information there and all makes perfect sense :)
Thanks for comment, hope you can find somebody more local
If your water lillies are already in a big pot. Do you still need to repot every year?
Thank you
No just the once as long as they seem to have matured nicely
