I've been looking up this game because I used to play it an insane amount as a young kid, but damn does it look like the worst game in the world to speedrun. :P Pac-Man is such an oblivious, short-tempered ass in this game, but I'll be damned if the sounds he makes don't take me back.
The ending was wholesome. Made a new PB for sure, and double checked times to find a WR. It beats people screaming that they did it (which is not to be undervalued for their hard work), but I like the astonished "I actually did it" vibe. It shows that they CAN do it and pushes them to be even better.

Speedrunning a game in which you don't actually control a character sounds extremely masochistic. Which makes me have all the more respect for you. Getting used to annoying controls such as Getting Over It is one thing, but getting used to BS rules within a game is a whole different can of worms. Very well done!

People complain about Pac-Man not listening to you in the game, the problem is Pac-Man didn't have a cancel feature to break out of his animations. Most old games didn't at the time. Plus the other half genuinely comes from people hitting or pointing the wrong way and they blame Pac-Man for it.
@@TheRedCap yeah in action 52 their is routing in this game just time when push A and know where to put the cursor. early on I am sure there was some routing. but this game is only a couple years younger so it has had the same amout time to be optimized.

Pac-Man's ADD is indeed so powerful he will happily stride past the door to his home carrying the milk for his starving infant daughter unless you tell him to go in.
The legendary smug pac-man walk occurs when he reaches maximum happiness. The fastest way to get him like this is to have him go left from his house and just keep letting him get apples from the tree.

Adventure game, really. The idea is that Pac-man moves and thinks for himself. The reality is he's too stupid to figure out most basic tasks(ruclips.net/video/thX9OagcOoQ/видео.html) so you have to "help" him along. Usually by shooting him/something with your slingshot.
