even if I pass material science with good no, I am not going to unsubscribe this channel. the only way I can show respect to these great teachers of IIT is by subscribing the channel.

In point of Discussion about Effect of temperature in creep ...... When ambient temperature is further increase above( 0.55 of melting temp of materials ) creep is more significant .............. & Increased so on... Results to be Material will be failed under creep( like Fusion tungsten bulb) .... In this overview my Question is
Can there is not any Effect of thermal stress and strain ...... because we know €(thermal srain) is directed proportional to temparature ?????? Please giving yours valueable feed back sirrr ....🙏🙏
    Your faithfully sibam majumdar....

Is it correct sir: Power law creep acts in moderate stress regime.....in high stress regime we find exponential creep law...and in low stress regime we find power law creep with low n...or linear mostly.,.

Sir, at higher stress will the strain at which material break will also increase? (1:28)

Sir, What is the role of gas constant in the equation discussed as gas constant has meaning only for gases?

Gas constant is one of the fundamental constants. Historically it orginated from the study of gases. But it is not restricted to gases alone.

    Sir I have one doubt
As we apply load on any material constantly
Strain will increase with respect to time right sir
But you said that with increase stress creep life will decrease
    Here my doubt is
As we apply stress on constant load strain will increase na sir
It mean at first time t=0 no elongation
As we go on apply stress strain increase and also time also changed mean timely
Then creep life must increase right na sir
you are saying it will decrease
I can't can you elaborate some more

Creep life is time to failure at a given temperature and stress. If at the same temperature another test is done at a higher applied stress then the material will fail in a shorter time, so will have lesser life.
