Kinda scoffed at the title but I won’t lie, I was plat last season and every single one of those tips was rly helpful. Always think about how my comp affects the items and augments but have never thought about how items and augments affect each other
Thank you for the in-depth explanation! Have you ever considered taking recordings of your own games and doing a full analysis of your decision making at each stage of the game? It would be a great way for us nabs to see how this stuff is applied in practice. Thanks again! =}
Thank you for all of the fantastic videos! I love your short and well thought out videos that are full of Information. Thank you again, and you are the reason I’ve been able to get into plat, and hope for diamond.
Your example with Olaf placement made me realize that sometimes your assassin's should be placed to counter enemy cc as you did with Diana instead of always focus on them getting to the enemy carry as I did until now. Thanks dude!
I played a lot of TFT in set 6 and learning so much from you. Took a break because i was burnt out on the game but set 7 came and got me hooked again. I love how you still pump out top tier content. I swear that you are the my best TFT content creator in terms of quality and ease of understand!
Loved the video! You had an example for tip 1 where you were evaluating what AD carries you could pivot into based on your items. I’d love a video that discussed all of the carries (or major pivotal pieces) and how you could group them through the lens of what items they share (as you did here). I think most TFT content focuses in on specific comps and variants of those comps, but there’s less content about carries in general. Having them grouped by items would make it easier to be flexible as far as transitioning in game.
Thanks for the great video and frankly I took the rank of Master 100 lp and I still see how my knowledge falls short of players like you. Thanks for the extremely helpful advice. as for me one of the best tips of this video is not to be afraid of the contest too much because sometimes I panic when I have good augmentations and have the necessary characters and items but for fear of the contest 2-3 other players I start doing extra actions that spill in terrible mistakes .....
This is one of my favorite videos of yours to date. I appreciated the in-depth explanation of Olaf positioning in that fight against Varus and Frozen Heart Illaoi!
I think the Olaf breakdown was really good for showing how you can breakdown your own personal fight and the different aspects of the fight and determine what went right and wrong
This was hands down the most excellent TFT guide I have ever watched. Thanks for this, I am EXACTLY in the spot where I need this (Dia IV 0 LP last patch). Will rewatch many times for sure!
it's extremely helpful how you breakdown that fight, really made me think about how i position my units now even though i don't know which player im up against most of the time
I was masters last set but dang its hard to find a likeable comp that is good, I really dont like mages and olafdiana feel kinda cheaty since they are overtuned rn. Any recommendations for comps? Set 6 I played a lot of Jhin bodyguards and Lux then in set 6.5 I did a lot of Talon carry and 6 hextech sivir
Thx man as always u coming in clutch with awesome stuff. I came back to tft after playing in set 2 like 2 weeks ago and I was wondering if there was some great overlay app with data and information. Thx for it!
I got a busted augment which was that every unit ignores CC for 15 seconds. So instead of going that defensive option on Olaf, I went HOG for extra damage/healing. I still got wrecked for some reason even with a rank 3 olaf though..
if you already have bt, I'd go for another damage item like rfc or ie. since they increase damage multiplicativly, you should end up getting more additional healing on average than you would get from hoj. another option would be something like rfc or swiftshot emblem since they make rageblade get going faster and also provide the additional defense of being further away from the action.
Showing the calculated % win-rate from Meta TFT app sounded really interesting to me. have the app and it is not showing me the % win rate anywhere. App has other good features, it marks the minimap for match-tracking which I really like, but I really want that % win rate statistic to give me an idea of how efficient my positioning is. Am I missing something? Anyone else use the app and able to see their % WR chances?
The last point made me think of something I always struggle with which is whether I should be buying units to make the odds better when rolling down, even though it means it will take more time
Buying units during a roll down is mostly something you do to make yourself feel clever. It has an EXTREMELY minimal impact on your odds, even for the more expensive units. There are just too many units in pool for you to make a real impact. Granted, there is no reason not to do this when you have ample time to do so, because even a small increase in odds is nice to have. But you should probably not be doing it during a hyperactive turn or a full transition. You’re just going to make yourself dizzy.
@@four5569 thanks for the advice! In that way it kindof sounds like fetching to thin in mtg. (Using resources to take lands of of your deck.) Where it does have a real impact on your odds sometimes but people will over prioritise it in situations where it would be better to use those resources in other ways. Except in tft the resource is my brain. XP
Great video. I just started playing last set and I climbed to gold III before honestly just getting bored of the set. I enjoy this one a lot more and I am going to try to make a big push. I definitely think my early stage is the weakest part of my game so suggesting defaulting to a particular comp early on is very insightful. I often times feel the need to mix it up, but that clearly isn't the play. This would cause me to potentially have a very weak board and bleed out early and then feel pressured to roll down earlier than normal and let RNG take the wheel. Very helpful and thank you.
Like I hit Plat one day before the last season was over and I literally learned something - my big problem is the greed when I have 50 gold and just need one dragon for lvl 2 and after that I just hard lose😅
I think my issue is I push a comp that won’t work in that game and I switch the next game and the one uncontested last game now has 4 people doing it lol.
The feature was in beta when I recorded the gameplay. It's out of beta now though. I'll link the FAQ, it has more info on how it calculates the win% www.metatft.com/win-chance
I am already struggling with the first, i used to go for olaf carry but lately there are usually at least 3 sometimes 4 olaf players in 1 game and thats really tough. I thought i might take varus instead but hes also very high contested.... :(
you dont need olaf 3 to top4. 2star is enough in the vast majority of games and getting him to 2* is not that hard even with 3 players. and if you see that olaf is contested too hard and you need to pivot just use syfen. he uses very similar items and very similar teams (just drop the scalescorn and put in more bruisers)
I play like that mostlys my 1st problem is to make the plan andctocwich combinationcto pivot. I see a lot of ppl using apps or pages but i find very hard while i play in the phone. Usually i getcto a point i have all figure out and the season is over 😂😂and i have to start all over again
Was kinda funny you said master is the top .3% and then you said "Don't worry..I'm from the top 0.3%" while linking the chall icon. Assuming you meant top .03%
I have to be honest I’m just very lucky, I never knew or use these tips, I did use it once in set 4.5 and got to masters under 120 games, but after that set, it takes me much much longer to get to masters, stopped using the tips. I must have regressed really badly.
make a plan stick to the plan and dont be afraid of contesting... sounds like force a comp do the comp dont be afraid of others hitting first... honestly not the greatest tip

Been around during your 20 30k days. Damn TFT is a small game because you are growing slow despite how good your content is

The fight analysis was complicated lol, but very necessary. I needed to rewatch a few times to catch as much as possible. Thank you
Ad segment was great! would love some more detailed positioning breakdowns!!
Super helpful. I’ve been plat a few seasons and the biggest struggle is understanding when to pivot and to what other comp
Great video! Even as a 100lp master player, I still need to get a lot better at transitioning, and tweaking my positioning.
I should probably explain that I meant 100lp last season
What are your thoughts on Lillia reroll?
This was hands down the most excellent TFT guide I have ever watched. Thanks for this, I am EXACTLY in the spot where I need this (Dia IV 0 LP last patch). Will rewatch many times for sure!
Subbed and instantly got a near perfect game :) was worth it 100%
Congrats!
it's extremely helpful how you breakdown that fight, really made me think about how i position my units now even though i don't know which player im up against most of the time
My goodness, that talk on positioning was probs the best thought provoking advice I’ve heard this set!
This was a great video. I feel like you pinpointed exactly what I'm doing wrong as an intermediate player
With the Ezreal example. Why do you not position Ez or the jade statue next to him?
You should, I just found out that Jade statues buff all allies and not just Jade units.
I'm so impressed with how the high elo players think. It's so cool to see how they analyze and break down what moves to make.
Great Video, think its gonne be quite useful for my coming climb. Gave me some new perspectives. Keep it up mate!
Thanks, will do!
Very helpful refresher as I'm being overwhelmed by learning new traits and units. tysm
