    Been trying to teach my wife TFT and its her first video game other than mario kart. It is WILD. Been focusing on map orientation, verbiage, how to make gold and place units in front or back. Shes now learning how to make items and what a team comp is. We are about 20 games in. Wish me luck.

Would recommend for anyone starting out in this gamemode, doesn't focus on copy and paste guides. Gives you the intuition to understand what you fundamentally need to do well. Awesome and to the point. Love it.

    I just learned that I am leveling up too fast, without actually having a reason to, and doing that I stop receiving the characters I want, so that's why I never get to make golden characters... but this video still felt a little to advanced for my level... things like the character pool and character positioning on the board are still a mystery to me.

    i think for beginners (such as myself) we need more of "good comp combos" im not talking about the major focus comp, i'll give an example: lelts say im going void and im focusing on it, what other comp will be good synergy with it, i know now that putting in a yasuo is good but thats my point, maybe make a video explaining how to scout good comp combos as a beginner and structure a team like that.
    apologies for the rant, just a friendly suggestion, loved the vid

    • @bonbonram
      @bonbonram Год назад +9

      whenever you play a specific comp, think about who your carry will be. In your example, it sounds like Kaisa will be your carry because you're also using challenger with Yasuo. But in other variations of Void, maybe they use Reksai as the carry so they put in supporting Bruisers like Sion or Sejuani. Just try to think who your carry is

    • @robinolsson7003
      @robinolsson7003 Год назад +4

      @@bonbonramsince Kai'sa is a 4 cost unit, you can also consider getting a champ like kalista to hold items. When you get your Kai'sa, you sell the Kalista and put the items on Kai'sa. Yasuo is also 4 cost, so his items could be held by a champ like Samira for example. This would be referred to as a reroll comp I believe.

    • @mateussilva635
      @mateussilva635 Год назад +3

      @@robinolsson7003 Actually, a reroll comp is one that focuses on having 3 star units (1, 2 or 3 cost) as carry/tank, which is exactly the opposite of what you described, a highroll comp (having a 2 star 4 or 5 cost as carry/tank).

  • @Ylemonade
    @Ylemonade 7 месяцев назад +6

    Everyone confused immediately, just go and play the game a bunch of times without any expectation to win. Go into it for the learning. Get familiar with the aspects of the game that DONT change first (like the phases and the item combos and the champions in that set). I think the confusion is just that there is so much to remember, but don't try to get the whole of the game right away, just try to focus on one part at a time until you're familiar.

    I just made a comment asking some questions about the essentials and providing some critique on the video, but when I edited it, it returned an error, and now the comment doesn't show at all, as if it was deleted entirely. I'm not sure what's going on there, if you just thought I was a hater or something, but I think I and a lot of players would benefit from being pointed to some other resources that are helpeful for beginners. There's just some things that aren't touched on - like how to data check during a game, and some of the core mechanics of the game such as the fact that there is a limited champion pool size, and it's useful to scout your opponents to see if your comp is 'contested' aka if anyone else is trying to get the same units as you, or to see if you can counter certain things on their team, like countering a bunch of AP teams with an item like dragon's claw on your main tank. The first time I heard the word "contested", I thought it was something else entirely. I assumed that it meant they were building a team that would counter your own team, like a rock paper scissors sort of situation.

    I understand the fundamental to roll when you have pairs. However often times when I lose streak in the early game and I wait to level and roll. I won’t natural any pairs. So then when should I roll by Stage 3 to not bleed out? Or do I just sack my rounds even more and just full level and roll at 7?

    • @mateussilva635
      @mateussilva635 Год назад +2

      If you're lose streaking you must go all in and reach 50 gold before rolling. However, you don't level up to 7, you roll at 5 or 6 to stabilize your board until a) you start winning so you can spare some gold to level up or b) level up passively until you can level up in one turn AND roll at 7 AND stay at above 30-20 gold.

Hopefully I'll get better after more games, it doesn't help that I don't know any of the champions or items so I have to take so much time to read things and then on the carousel rounds I'm pretty much screwed, they may as well be in braille for how much I tell which champs and which items are on it. Bro you talk way to fast. plus the video had 0 support to what you were talking about. it looked like you voiced over a match you did well on but didn't explain what you did.

    This is probably the worst way a game have ever made progress on a game. You just get thrown out there and everything dosent give anything. its all about luck. i have played 200 hours and still, when i think i win i lose. Just Freestyle on the game and hope for the best.

    No offense to you, this is a great tutorial. However, I wish I could find a tutorial video where the tutor uses conversational tones. It's difficult to follow a monotonous voice with lots of edits to cut out quiet spaces. Those quiet spaces give the listener time to absorb what you just said. Again, this isn't meant to insult, but rather to help you improve as a tutor.

      Why even make this comment? You can say "this isn't meant to be an insult" all you want. But this was extremely rude and unnecessary.

      @@Darthjarjar42069 If you consider this to be "extremely rude," then you've had a very good life. I made this comment because I see lots of videos like this and I'm fairly confident it's because the people who make them are trying to emulate one another and feel this is how a tutorial video should be made. If someone doesn't speak up and say, "Hey, this isn't the way I want to see a tutorial video," then no one will change.

      @@tarview I definitely have a good life. But yea...he didn't ask? If you don't like the video go watch another one. There are hundreds of them on TFT. I can guarantee he didn't read your comment and think "oh ok thanks" lol you're rude sir and again saying "no offense" doesn't make it not offensive
