    Great video
To sum it up simply for everyone
Try to get upgraded level 1 units early on (stay at level 3) longer and upgrade units to win streak
    Why?
Because upgraded units have 50% more health & damage
Traits aren't as important early game because you don't get 50% from traits early game.
For example, two vanguard is around 30%~ health after 2 shields and 0% damage
50% damage & health is way better.
    Math is mathing
Exceptions are eldrich & portal which summon an extra unit for you
After that, focus on slamming good items like guinsoos
Now your ready to win streak

Honestly this all comes down to being able to identify not only what your strongest board is but how it matches up to potential opponents boards. There’s no secret way to get past this besides just playing a ton of games and it often can change significantly patch to patch which makes it incredibly difficult for new/more casual players to be consistently right in their assessment.

    Very true.
Players leveling up bacause they watched lots of steamers do the same thing while not understanding the reasons.
Going 5 losing streak at stage 2 with semi econ hex and bad starting item is a opening more players need to learn.
Building comps with frontline traits and damage traits is better than 4 support traits. Get a origin trait in there would be perfect.
Try to start winning at 3-2, 3-3 is a good timing for me. Unless you are a high-leveled challenger, going for win-streaking after 10 losing streaks at 4 stage is too hard to execute.
I'm struggling to stop bleeding at stage 4 with 3 cost units to fast 9 atm. I feel like early win-steaking followed with fast 9 is hard to execute, especially with charms in games.

I’ve been a pretty consistent Plat to diamond player then past 6 sets. But unlike your student that say “my early game is fine”, its my biggest weakness. I can pivot easily, itemize with little issues and hit really hard. But whenever its reroll meta, I struggle so much. I just cannot understand how to stay playing with low cost units and my early game looks like win-lost-win-lost, where Im in position where I think im weak, but somehow wins rounds, or rounds where I think im strong and for some reason losses rounds.
I do think I might need some coaching after watch this tbh

Nothing to take away from your rank or the video (my peak ever in tft was gm 4 sets ago) but the game has gotten so complex + math related (talking about stats on augments comps etc) that fundamental playing only gets you so far (as high emerald to lwo diamond nowadays). So even people like you who may lack 1 fundamental rule can either skyrocket or get stuck. I get it that it would be too stale of a game but its doesnt really matter how good you are strategicwise as long as you build an econ and play the best augment/comp to climb. YES above GM (challenger 700lp+ ) every aspect of the game is too important to pass but we ve gotten to a stage that set 2-3 diamonds are golds or even lower ! I guesss its too hard to balance rng + skill expression in a game and we should be happy with the amazing game we get. Food for thought I guess !

very valuable information for me (forever 0lp masters here), good video
    questions ive always had
    1. lets say i misjudged my spot at 2-1, i go 2/3 wins into a loss, what should be my next course of action? play for winstreak, play for loss streak, or play for econ intervals/not caring if i win or lose if i hit those?
    2. lets say i judged my spot correctly for a 3 win streak, but can see that im likely to lose via scouting on 2-5. should i drop everything and play for loss streak/hit econ intervals even if im weaker?
    3. is it true that the challenger mindset is,if you play for winstreak, (besides augments) the slammable items you slam most of the time will dictate what comp you'll play? (like lets say a chally slams rageblade, hes like "oh im 100% playing fast 9 kalista fiora here")
    4. when going fast 8, is it correct to roll on 4-1?
    5. when going fast 8, lets say i winstreaked to something weird like 3-1, then lost on 3-2. should i lean towards restarting my winstreak if i deem fit, or should i lean towards loss streaking to 4-2/4-5?
    thank you

    • @mlekosojowe7312
      @mlekosojowe7312 21 день назад +1

      1. Econ most important. Once you lost ur streak thats the only way you can recover and get a stronger board.
      2. Items always dictate a comp you play. If you force Mages without rods or tears ur trolling.
      3. You roll to preserve hp. If you see other people hit sone major power spikes and u gonna lose hp you should try to upgrade ur board.
      4. If you dont know what to do just remember to not kill your econ. Like over rolling or over leveling.
In mid game you play for winstreak if you high roll or lose streak for econ to guarante your power spike. You just have to scout the lobby all the time and decide whats the best long term decision right now. Like if someone has 3 cost 2* carry on stage 3 you're probably not gonna winstreak that stage. If there's a highroller with itemized Kalista 2* on stage 4 you're not winstreaking. Same if someone hyperrolled their Zoe Lilia and Poppy on 3-1. You are not winstreaking 3rd and 4th stage.

Heyo. Solid vid, loved the info. Something I'd recommend for a video of this style is just to have bullet points prepared. It'll help your presentation a lot and keep it concise. I find that people tend to learn better using the KISS method (keep it simple, stupid); instead of 20 points about a part of the topic, you focus in on say 3-5 that are explained. It doesn't have to be a pre-planned script MLM formatted or anything, but it helps remove the "Uhs" and "Ums" and such.
Appreciate the vid nonetheless and I hope to see more.

10:57 : 5x for 1 damage is 5 but +5 for 1 damage is 6. You have 20% more power from a small +5 than a x5 even if the 5x will scale once you get another 5x. Then you're at 25 vs 11. But a second 5x doesn't matter if you never reach it.

i think an important general thing is that ALL items are essentially multiplicative, and whether or not an item is good or bad is based on their raw stats in comparison to eachother (rabadons vs jg) and if its a changing thing based thing how much value you can get
star level multiples the base one star unit, cost dictate another power structure
the biggest thing with items is additive vs multiplicative modifiers, where you always want to spread horizontally to multiplicative modifiers (ad/ap, atkspd, mana, damage amp, crit) - and keeping in mind what traits give - of course dont trust that items are balanced, just a general rule of thumb
note the issue with ie isnt that its multiplicative, because db is also multiplicative, its that its power is in ability crit , where it makes abilities do 1.24*1.35=1.08*1.55 sane amount of extra damage as deathblade whike autos are only 1.52ish (calculated from 1.24*1.35/1.1 where 1.1 is autos crit)
so ie , like jg, only good on units that already gave a lot of ad mult and damage amp (assuming that ability loaded power is similar

11:21 If we do that math right away, it's like.. 5+5 will always be 10. That's the flat part of it. And the multiplicative is 5x5. Early on, 5x1 is only 5, meaning the 5+5 is better. Later on, it's 5x2 compared to the 5+5. Now they're equal. And then later, it's 5x3, which is better.

When people were justifying cho reroll for mythics in the previous patch, they used the term “stat check” a lot. I am a bit against the separation of items into flat and scaling, because all items technically increase stats by a percentage, but i think people forget that starring up a unit is literally multiplying them by ~3 + their ability upgrades too, and even inappropriate items can scale better on the wrong 2star unit than selling it for a 1 star 3-cost for example. People understand effective health but effective damage is not a term i’ve heard anyone mention despite being almost the same thing/more important when talking about early game success because you cant just roll over people with beefy tanks without like slamming sunfire cape

But after watching your videos, a question popped up in my head. If you can identify that you're going to lose streak, do you just not slam items? Or do you slam strong items in order to still prevent HP?

    • @WaterParkTactics
      @WaterParkTactics  22 дня назад +3

yeah dont slam items if you're lose streaking. Half the benefit of lose streaking is getting to have perfect items while winstreakers are forced to slam suboptimal items just to keep their streak. You can still slam items that you're going to make later on anyways like Spark/Shiv if you know you're already playing AP somehow (ex. you took Magic Wand augment).

Good info. The biggest improvenet you can do is to structure your video. I bet you will talk more fluent and we as viewers wont loose ourselves in chaos

I kinda disagree with your point on lobby emphasis. Scouting other boards for strength, their augment selections, and a starting assumption on how others may want to play out stage 2, etc should be analyzed in conjunction with your own possible board strength. Lobby strength will definitely affect your personal decisions even as soon as picking augments on 2-1. Some augments that favor win streaks but may not provide combat value such as spoils of war and escort quest may not be clickable after a glance at the rest of lobby! Scouting boards and figuring out best boards with in reason are habits that push the limits of all tft players, new or experienced. Overall cool video tho, hope to see more insightful content!

I dont think scouting the lobby is something you should avoid. In fact once you get good enough to do everything above it, you should always be scouting. What im trying to emphasis is that 90% of my students dont even look at their board before scouting everyone else.
If you have a good idea of what your board is, then you have a baseline to compare against the lobby. If you dont and scout, you're just going to get really dizzy LOL.

I wish dude wasn't so redundant... Although it's clear he knows his shit, he truly isn't the most eloquent individual out there.

Hey guys! You should maybe do a reminder on discord that you have a yt chanel and people should subscribe, i have been part of the discord group for almost a year and came across this video randomly, never knew there was a channel. Great video! (Not the most active member of the dc)

"Coach" and "student" seems like a proper business huh? You just teach people to play game dude no need to charge them. Just shut down the game and learn how to do a proper video. Or go outside and get a job that actually pay

I do it for free every week on Saturday using hrs of my own time.
Why are you complaining? You're not paying for this video. Its free.
You're clearly insecure and angry about something going on in your life and this is the only way you know how to take it out. You should talk with your close friends about this or if you don't have any go seek a therapist.
With how fragile your ego is, the above comment probably will seem like an ad hominem attack but it's just advice and you should really look within on why this bothers you.
      Cheers!
