    Great video and picks. I love my Emerald Dwarf Rasbora, Galaxy Rasbora. Another cool fish is the Green neon, looks like a neon but no red line but the majority of their color is blue and towards the bottom is a thin silver line. In my 29 gallon nano fish I also gold neons and pygmy cories. They pop on the black diamond blasting sand with dragon stone. Love you, your enthusiasm is infections. Thanks for sharing.

    I actually like this Brooklyn Grammy. I would love to have maybe some of those in a tank with a beta but I maybe do 7 gallons and I'd put lots of plants so the beta could hide and I think they'd probably get along pretty well
    I found that my beta he's pretty chill and if you put like a newbius island and then you got lots of plants and rocks for him to hide he does pretty well with the guppies
    It's an all male tank and then I managed to create the lighting system so it take kind of looks half dark and half lit so he feels quite comfortable

    I had all 5 gallon tanks and thought 10 gallon tanks so big....now I have 10 and 20 gallon tanks and they look small. Not going higher than this though as just too much water....I'm in a drought area.
    P.S. I used to have my bettas in one 3 gallon and the rest in 5 gallons. Now they're in 10 gallon tanks, and have a pair in a 20. The 10 gallon tanks look barely big enough for them. This is how I perceive them. My bettas are too sensitive to be with other fish so I stay out of the conflict zone and keep them alone now. I know not every betta is like this but all of my experimenting with getting other fish to be in their tanks just causes such a big deal. They get so shy and hide away. I notice fish in general can get this way. It's making me feel crazy as I haven't ever heard anyone bring this up before. Adding new fish to a tank, putting them in a different aquarium...stuff like this just gets on their nerves. Maybe they're picking up on my energy....ha ha.

    I have two types of high quality pellets but it's been a while since I unfroze a block of bloodworms but I think I want to get like one of those squeeze bottles and you could unfreeze one and then keep one in the fridge your money just put a little squirt of blood worms into the tank
    oh someday I'm going to have my own fish room and a good way of making videos and then I can put it on RUclips and Taiwanese people could learn how to make awesome tanks that don't cost much and bring joy to their families

    One white cloud jumped out the first month.
    So I pulled the beta yesterday to euthanize sadly……………..overnight, after all this time……….two more white clouds jumped out………………is it because white clouds just do that whe mating or something……since they are top swimmers?

  • @meggrotte4760
    @meggrotte4760 3 года назад +1

    You know honestly I'm surprised your channel doesn't have more viewers I think you and I have similar views on fish
    I get people telling me that my beta needs 20 gallons and I actually find they really like being able to swim and maybe 3 gallons to six at the most and some of them even like 2.5 gallons they are more active I guess because they live in a smaller area so they need to have more exercise but really I think as long as the waters clean you have plenty of plants little bit of hardscaping good quality of food I have two types of made of food plus Frozen blood worms and you know they eat a little bit everyday I fast them on Saturdays so they're intestinal tracts don't have problems and now that I know that the water was killing them hopefully I'll do my water changes three times a week I'm pretty good about that and I'll be able to keep some healthy bettas
    really is my goal to have my own fish room you know what I'd actually like to do is start an online business for fish I'd actually like to be able to do classes in English on how to set up your own aquarium and take it home.
    that's what I really want to do is teach people how to create simple aquariums according to the water that runs in through Taiwan and I want to show them and it doesn't take a lot of work to create a beautiful tank for your home.
    I'm tired of seeing poor fish stuck in small tanks that shouldn't be in there
    You know if they're like baby bettas I can understand maybe putting a small fish that's tiny into a 2.5 gallon tank maybe even a beta some betas love smaller tanks but I've seen like angelfish and 2.5 gallon tanks and they need more than that

    • @QueAquatics
      @QueAquatics  3 года назад

      I agree with you about the betta tank size. You should start a training program on ssettjng up tanks!

    • @meggrotte4760
      @meggrotte4760 3 года назад

      @@QueAquatics you know actually that's what I really like to do because I found in Taiwan they really don't know how to set up a decent tank for betas or guppies for that matter and I'd like to start an online business where people can you know pick out what they want have it sent to them they can have a picture set up of different options and they could create their own tank and have a great time doing it without spending a fortune

    • @meggrotte4760
      @meggrotte4760 3 года назад

      Also I think if you're going to get a large tank it's probably because you are liking aquascaping
      I really enjoy aqua sleeping and so for me working with a 6 gallon tank is much easier than trying to work with a 2.5 gallon it's hard to maneuver things around and it's also a bit difficult to think how you want to arrange it yeah but you'd be surprised you could take the same tank used the same things and put them in a different way almost every time and it comes out unique and somewhat interesting

    • @meggrotte4760
      @meggrotte4760 3 года назад

      @@QueAquatics I would really like to do that because in Taiwan I'm an American but most Taiwanese they really are encouraged to put betas and even guppies into small containers.
      it's usually betas I don't know what it is about beers but they get stuffed into a flower vase or something like that
      And then I read about and studied what they do in America so I kind of tried to blend the best I could with both cultures
      What I've noticed in Taiwan is a lot of people think it's really difficult to have fish or it's really expensive but actually not
      It only becomes expensive if you don't know what you should check first
      I found if you don't know what your water is like it's a good chance it's probably what's killing your
      For example in Taiwan where I live almost all the water probably has low ph and I discovered that if you put crushed coral into the filter it balances out the pH you have no longer have acidic water and I just need to change the water two to three times a week so the minute I stick my hand in the tank and I feel it's a bit acidic I do a water change
      But I like changing water I like redesigning tanks so my fish aren't bored

    I was wondering could you make a video on what your water is like and I'd like to know if you had any particular problems even though you do everything that's mentioned
    For example I have betas I've got a low flow filter I've got at least 5 gallons but it depends on the fish and I keep it pretty clean to be honest .
    I was doing regular water changes two times a week but I can't get my male Bettas to live past 6 months females no problem if they're not too small they usually live one to three years but male betas yeah
    I'm just wondering have you ever had problems with your water and how are you able to fix it
    For example in Taiwan the pH is low so I found that if I put crushed coral into the filtration system it actually regulates the pH but I have to change the water three times a week so for each tank I do about a 70% water change cuz I don't want to shock the fish too much
    but apparently it gets the water pretty clean I was surprised how clear the water was because I have like Driftwood in my tank and I have stones and sometimes the Driftwood just kind of turns the water like a brown color and the vertical kind of break off and go into the water like into the gravel

    If you are going to buy a 5 gallon then you might as well just buy a ten it's like the same price and 50 percent better

      I agree!!! But I received six 5 gallon tanks from a killifish breeder and had to figure out what good they would be.

    I went with 1 Scarlet Gem Badis, its such a fun little fish and it fits perfectly in my 5 gallon planted. I could get 2 but I don't wanna risk them being territorial and fighting.

    Set up a ten gallon I just have scuds in it at the moment. I'm thinking about putting fish in there if i don't just use it to breed scuds.

      Do you like aquatic plants? I would start with an aquatic garden then add my fish. CPD’s are quite beautiful or chili rasboras

      If you know how to keep the aquarium healthy, balanced and low in Nitrates. It can be done. Be vigilant

    • @QueAquatics
      @QueAquatics  10 месяцев назад

      That would depend on the substrate, how many plants, how balanced is the tank.
