If the live movies could actually go into this depth at least once we the audience can sympathize with the characters then I think it would draw in an even greater audience.

It’s painful coming to realize that the same black hole that led the man who was once our father to abuse us for decades then throw us away, that black hole exists inside of me his oldest son too. It has too. Otherwise we wouldn’t have been so blind. Otherwise we wouldn’t have wanted to be just like someone who lied and used us and manipulated us for so long. Our blood is the same blood. I’m keenly aware of that. But I do hate him. I do wish he was dead often. Not because of the black hole in my bloodline, not because he abused us and neglected us. But because when faced, when we finally grew strong enough to call him out in our way, he denied everything, blamed us, then threw us away rather than admitting what he’d done. Rather than being genuinely honest just once. He threw us away. It completely shattered me. It destroyed that person who we were. He killed my hope in him with his own actions. And for that blatant willful dishonesty and disregard, and for every day we spent suffering believing we could be equals some day. That’s why I wish he was dead. So now we live with both a star over our right and a black hole over our left. And we have to balance them out continuously, forever.
