found a swordman with the same lvl, walking from prontera to payon, try to kill some sograt's desert monster, finally arrived to Payon Dungeon and xp in the cave lv2 for drop AoA :) the magic of ragnarok like u say

Up until now, I've never seen any other game that beats the lore of RO, they practically cemented the Norse myth into the game, laid the minimum standard of how an MMORPG should be and any other game that tries to make a reference to the Norse myth feels like a copy cat of RO
I've been looking the past 12-14 years for a good server but none of them were good. But now I'll try out the "European RO" from 4game/Innova after seeing that most of the threads/topics are posted very recently, most of them today. So activity could be good, hoping for the best! I can never let go of the RO-feeling!
I seriously miss the times I was meeting up with my online friends to just hang around, farm for random items and headgears and so on... hearing this soundtrack made me sob quite hard. People who didn‘t play it wouldn‘t understand the feelings this music creates. Good old memories on EbilRo ❤️

I miss this game.. I remember those times where every city is crowded especially Prontera. You can't even move without accidentally clicking a chat room or a store. Tried every character but in the end I ended up loving my Priest character. Giving free buffs and opening a warp portal to prank lol
Like wise i make all jobs but the ending is the priest i like to help newbies tank them even im a priest. Today i playing Ragnarok Eternal Love on mobile phone.. i have priest, sniper warlock, blacksmith, profesor, and new job the cat summoner
I love reading the comments in Ragnarok videos. Everyone expresses the same nostalgic feeling of unforgotten moments filled with friendship and acceptance and pure joy. I still wonder if my old guild mates still think of each other till this day.
I had a lot of fun. Until I met a girl... Long story short. I was in a guild for a long time and was a major contributor to the guild. A girl in the guild became an online girlfriend. Then we broke up. She started talking crap about me to the guild leader. I got kicked out of a guild that I had been in longer thanks to her being a twat. Pretty much ruined the game for me. Getting kicked out of a guild that I had put so much time and effort into was BS.

Al De Baran, the border town. It's the home town of alchemist and super novices. I love that place. It just happens that my guildmaster that I met there was a geneticist, and when he decided to run a secondary training guild for everyone to raise their alt, I, a super novice(and normal novice), volunteered for it and ran that guild. So we ended up being guilds based in Al de Baran that was thematically with the game as well. Shout-out to iro chaos Pagans, 2009-2012. We weren't the most woe winning guild, but man was it just magical that everyone had singular goal working together. The game is bot ridden now and valuable items duped and bought with cash so it's not worth the time, but I had the best time when I did play it. Everyone moved onto ff14 but sadly it's not the thing for me.

I played Ragnarok in my highschool days but Damn untill now that im 36yrs old still my love for this GAME is super. Its make me cry when hearing the first 6 major city OST Prontera, Izlude, Payon, Morroc, Geffen, Aldebaran. It give so much GOOD Memories.

Haha, i never been a trans or 3rd job on offical ROs, but on private servers I did. Man, i looked so nene back on those days. talking to old dudes and I was 9. Did bot. I looked bad ass hahaha. Doing FS priest first then bot supp my main char which is alche plan. My alche does selling and also auto feed vanilmirth with high MATK. wow, i was stupid for talking too much with people instead on grinding. How i wish i can get back o nthose days . But man, I'm now a developer with comsci grad, but I was FS priest before. WIth all hotkeys on 4 layers. I never miss anything. Thats how hardcore FS priest I am. hahaha
this game came out in the PH during 2003. oh fooking lawd I was just in 6th grade back then. hearing the log in BGM then followed by prontera theme makes me remember the good ol times of waiting for around 3-5 minutes before your pc fully loads the prontera because it's sooo fookiinng laaaaag. no other sub-channels so if you're lagging in prontera then you're lagging in prontera and there's no other channel jump to and hoping that channel isn't crowded. oh yeah, the spamming of warp skill by priests/acolytes in prontera too. A simple soundFX but it's burned and etched into the back of my mind. my favorite is morroc theme.
First played this game when the only towns are Prontera, Payon, Alberta, Izlude, Morroc, AlDebaran & Geffen. Ohh memories, seeing that it expanded so much is so cool!

Me, 5.14.21.. reminiscing my gaming days in HS. First online RPG game, during those days not everyone has internet connection, so I had to go to a computer shop to play and it was better because I met new people, it was really epic! Those moments will always shine a big smile in my heart!
I'll forever have a soft spot for this game. Never going back probably, but I miss what it was like to be so in love with a fictional world and the friends I made there ~15 years ago. This game really did a lot of things right for the time it was in.

Personally, what I loved about Ragnarok Online were the times I was able to spend with my friends, the number of friends I made online and across the globe, and the sense of pure adventure I got when I played, getting lost everywhere.

I own quite a few videogame soundtracks but there is only one that I have ever listen to from start to finish over multiple times and its this. It immediately sends me back in time, over desserts, plains, sewers and bamboo forests. Good times.
I remember downloading an solo/offline version of Ragnarok and got stuck on loading screen. I got frustrated, but the title theme definitely calmed me down back then. It gave a mysterious vibe on the game. Got me curious and excited for my adventure even though it's just me playing in the server.

Reminds me of decades ago when i was a kid and news of Ragnarok Online 2! cameo out... but the game took so long to come out that i couldnt play it anymore, both due to PC and LIFE.
I miss this game. It was the very first online game I ever played. It took days to donwload in my 100kbps connection back then. I still feel the same butterflies in my stomach from the first time I launched the game and listened to this 00:00 while trying to figure out how to make an account. All the magic of discovery and holy crap the world was HUGE. Still is tbh. I used to play with an English to Portuguese dictionary by my side. So many friends. Can't describe all the emotions. I also miss enjoying playing this game. I got so used to brain-dead hack n' slash action RPGs that RO just feels "too slow" for me nowadays. I tried so many times in the past few years, but I unfortunately don't enjoy the playstyle anymore. Wish I did. It's ruined.

Everyone saying "RO" is dead, true iRO is dead, but check out the private servers. Lots of people play them still, way more than iRO and they have good communities.
i know this post is old but just to clarify..it is actually the 1st and the most successful MMORPG backl in 2003, ragnarok kickstart the revolution of gaming and it is until at least 2005 was the best year of MMORPG at MMORPG is the talk of the game, and the lore, content, many towns, theme songs, them fields, dungeons and the community of ragnarok at that time is the best and never will be match till now, im glad i be able to join ragnarok when it all started, such joy, such memories playing at cybercafe..just wow

It just happens that my guildmaster that I met there was a geneticist, and when he decided to run a secondary training guild for everyone to raise their alt, I, a super novice(and normal novice), volunteered for it and ran that guild. So we ended up being guilds based in Al de Baran that was thematically with the game as well. Shout-out to iro chaos Pagans, 2009-2012.
We weren't the most woe winning guild, but man was it just magical that everyone had singular goal working together. The game is bot ridden now and valuable items duped and bought with cash so it's not worth the time, but I had the best time when I did play it.
Everyone moved onto ff14 but sadly it's not the thing for me.

This game meant so much to my childhood and early tens, all songs brings strong nostalgic feelings. Lutie's song made me miss so much the friends I made and could never see IRL, all sitting inside a house chatting near christmas eve, all the time together, all the adventures and yet I'll never see them again puts a hole in my chest.

I played Ragnarok in my highschool days but Damn untill now that im 36yrs old still my love for this GAME is super. Its make me cry when hearing the first 6 major city OST Prontera, Izlude, Payon, Morroc, Geffen, Aldebaran. It give so much GOOD Memories.

this game came out in the PH during 2003.
oh fooking lawd I was just in 6th grade back then. hearing the log in BGM then followed by prontera theme makes me remember the good ol times of waiting for around 3-5 minutes before your pc fully loads the prontera because it's sooo fookiinng laaaaag.
no other sub-channels so if you're lagging in prontera then you're lagging in prontera and there's no other channel jump to and hoping that channel isn't crowded.
oh yeah, the spamming of warp skill by priests/acolytes in prontera too. A simple soundFX but it's burned and etched into the back of my mind.
my favorite is morroc theme.
First played this game when the only towns are Prontera, Payon, Alberta, Izlude, Morroc, AlDebaran & Geffen. Ohh memories, seeing that it expanded so much is so cool!

Me, 5.14.21.. reminiscing my gaming days in HS. First online RPG game, during those days not everyone has internet connection, so I had to go to a computer shop to play and it was better because I met new people, it was really epic! Those moments will always shine a big smile in my heart!
I'll forever have a soft spot for this game. Never going back probably, but I miss what it was like to be so in love with a fictional world and the friends I made there ~15 years ago. This game really did a lot of things right for the time it was in.

Look into "RO Private server", there are many still alive today and they have high rates to make the game easier (vanilla is way way way too grindy).

I remember downloading an solo/offline version of Ragnarok and got stuck on loading screen. I got frustrated, but the title theme definitely calmed me down back then. It gave a mysterious vibe on the game. Got me curious and excited for my adventure even though it's just me playing in the server.

I miss this game. It was the very first online game I ever played. It took days to donwload in my 100kbps connection back then. I still feel the same butterflies in my stomach from the first time I launched the game and listened to this 00:00 while trying to figure out how to make an account. All the magic of discovery and holy crap the world was HUGE. Still is tbh. I used to play with an English to Portuguese dictionary by my side. So many friends. Can't describe all the emotions.
I also miss enjoying playing this game. I got so used to brain-dead hack n' slash action RPGs that RO just feels "too slow" for me nowadays. I tried so many times in the past few years, but I unfortunately don't enjoy the playstyle anymore. Wish I did. It's ruined.

Everyone saying "RO" is dead, true iRO is dead, but check out the private servers. Lots of people play them still, way more than iRO and they have good communities.
There's also the new euRO server. I've been enjoying it a lot!
i know this post is old but just to clarify..it is actually the 1st and the most successful MMORPG backl in 2003, ragnarok kickstart the revolution of gaming and it is until at least 2005 was the best year of MMORPG at MMORPG is the talk of the game, and the lore, content, many towns, theme songs, them fields, dungeons and the community of ragnarok at that time is the best and never will be match till now, im glad i be able to join ragnarok when it all started, such joy, such memories playing at cybercafe..just wow
