Finally! you are the first person to show me how to transition from short sequences to a full song... Convert song to sequence is the key! Ive always worked linear in Daws and was feeling to constrained not being able to complete a full song with variations and transitions throughout. You explained exactly what i was wanting this MPC one to do! Thanks
Hey Elliot, I agree with you it took me a while to get the flow piecing the sequences together but once I got the hang of it it’s been very intuitive putting all the sequences together in songmode.
Exactly what nobody on yt has ever shown before in an easy and simple way.. very informative man, been looking for exactly this since im on the fence for a Live 2
Thank you so much for taking your time in leaving this feedback it really means a lot. Honestly any of the newer MPC‘s work amazing I’m really loving the MPC one myself but you won’t go wrong either way or direction you go
man this is game changer for me, I have th mpc one since 2 months now and I'm still learning it, before to create a entire song i was recording the sequences live on my sp404 while muting/unmuting drums to create dynamics and i mean it's a good way but this is cool to make a lot of composing changes! thx u got the sub!
Hey brother, thank you so much for taking your time and checking out the video and leaving your feedback. Well that’s interesting on how you were using the 404 to sequence your final track, there’s so many ways to go about it but this has been very useful for me as of lately and will probably continue to work this way. Again thank you so much for sharing your input it really means a lot
Planning on getting an MPC One soon and I’ve been watching your videos to keep me hype and also learn a bit before I get my hands on it. Thanks so much for these!
Congrats on the MPC one I’m sure you’re gonna have a lot of fun with it as you get to know it more and more, I’ve had mine for a while and I’m still learning so much on it. Thank you for stopping by and checking out the channel it really means a lot.
@@malobeats Yep. Definitely luvin' it! I'm just tinkering around on it when I get the chance because my house is still being built so my studio isn't ready yet. However, in the meantime I'm realizing this might end up being the central tool in my studio instead of Ableton!
@@inspector-tech congrats on your home brotha that sounds exiting. Oh yea the mpc one quickly became the centerpiece of my studio now I just use Ableton mainly to mix and master my beats
Nice! I've been creating different sequences like that and stringing them together, but never converted the song into a new sequence to then put edits on after! Thanks for sharing the process!
This really demystified the song building process for me, thanks for all the videos on you channel Malo! I’m transitioning from Logic and Reason on my Mac to the MPC as a stand-alone unit and still learning the process for a bunch of things that I’m used to in a DAW. Have you thought about putting together an online course for the MPC One? I for sure would appreciate something that is more linear and dives a bit more in depth! @@malobeats No problem! Your channel and content is really useful. I’m a new user of the MPC One and, even I have some experience with songwriting and producing, this device takes me to a whole new level. Take care!
Thank you for the video, Malo. It was well laid out and straight forward. Three quick questions: Have you ever worked with the MPC software? Is it a DAW? If not, what's the difference between the MPC software and Ableton? Thank you again. Blessings!
Hey David, it’s funny you ask this question because I finally installed the software this morning on my computer so I’ve been messing with it and exploring it as we speak. So far I’m still sticking with the hardware unit but it’s been interesting when it comes down to naming your tracks/samples and also working with the grid editor has been really intuitive and fast with a DAW
Learned a few new tricks from this video!! Youre one of my go-to channels for MPC ONE these days, just want to tell you your videos are really coming along great! Checking out your description box, curious what camera you use?
Thank you so much for this feedback it really means a lot as I’m doing my best to perfect the way i deliver these videos. @@fade2blak91 Oh man I can imagine the one DX series are very beefy if I could go back I honestly would just get the canon R5 instead of the 1DX because now they both have c log 3 in them but I already have this one so I will stick with it till the wheels fall off.
@@malobeats Yea ive been eyeing the R5 too just no where near ready to commit to that kinda bread for a hobby knowing there’s rly nothing wrong with what i already have

I was practically intoxicated by this beat/track. The drum pattern drew me in, so I loaded it into Logic to study it (I'm new, just got a One+). I recreated it in Logic, but it's not quite the same. How did you make all of your drum tracks "drag" together?
Hey brother thank you for tuning in, yes I would go ahead and export them to separate audio stems and then import those audio stems into Ableton, I haven’t tried the ALS export function yet but I hear it’s very convenient for us Ableton users so I do need to try that out myself very soon.
Hi Malo, I want to start to make beats, I’m a Rapper and I really love the Beatmaking, the old ways, making a samples from the vinyl, do You think is a good idea to start with a Mpc One ? 💪🏼
Hey brother, if you’re just getting started honestly the MPC one or any of the newer MPC‘s give you everything you need inside of the box from Recording To mixing your beats inside of the unit. Yes the MPC one is all you need to make beats and you can also record vocals into the box when you’re ready for that. It’s an amazing unit for the price
little question ,,it's new the function record in the song mode ?? 2.10 update ,,j avais pas fais attention,,merci Malo ,je retourne sur la one ahahahah
Yeah,an intro is kinda easy to create after you have the first sequence, but then the chorus is pretty hard (for me). The 2 bars is a great idea for a bridge for sure. Rn I'm trying to create a full blown sequence, using it as a chorus then take out some elements and use that sequence for the verse. Did that for my latest beat (no bridge though). Then i bounced that sequence to sample and used it as an outro (like for the like and subscribe animation). I'm gonna keep "refining" that structure (even though it's not mine :D)
@@jonathansoko1085 yeah, sometimes less is more, right? I'm trying to not over do it. Coming from 8 tracks on the DAWto "unlimited" on the One has been a test. I normally use those extra ones to add the bounced to sample and chopped sequence program.
