- Great Gatsby at Tiffany & Co: The Jewellery Editor found itself at the Tiffany & Co jewellery store on New York's Fifth Avenue to witness the unveiling of not one, but three new jewellery collections, which included the Great Gatsby collection, the Ziegfeld collection and of course, their latest Blue Book collection. This year's Blue Book, featuring their biggest statement pieces, takes inspiration from the Jazz age as well as Baz Luhrmann's new Great Gatsby film, resulting in a very special collaboration.

The Jewelry was the best thing about that movie which was quite possibly one of the worst I've seen in a long time. Talk about "how to ruin a classic" they did it.

All these pieces are copies in design from victorian and georgian style jewlery. I have no idea what tiffany is talking about when it comes to innnovation. The just took old designs and copied old techniques. Nothing more. Its amaizing what they can get away with when people dont do their reseach. Oh yes and they sell the at enormous prices because its tiffany.. How stupid people are.
Pieces such as the daisy signet ring that were made specifically for The Great Gatsby film, formed one collection, others like the headpieces were created from the drawings in the Tiffany archive became the second collection . The third collection, that year's Blue Book, featured one-of-kind jewels like the Rare Vivid Green Diamond ring, which has a stand along RUclips video on the Tiffany channel. Tiffany's Blue Book collections tend to be most creative collections.

Tiffany is overblown, although the pieces are beautiful. I don't really care for Tiffany that isn't vintage and simple. to get a piece repaired for Tiffany, if you want it done by their company ...it's 150 just to send the piece in to have it LOOKED at, instead of just replacing a .10 diamond that perhaps your local jewelry you purchase from would do for free, as a good customer. their policies and the Tiffany & Co name is just overrated and yes, I sold pieces all day that were this nice in Ft Lauderdale. nothing new here I see

Baz Luhrmann might be a pretty good film maker but his poses for cameras and the press are very queenie. Too self-aware...very women-like. Kind of like Tom Ford... Not an attractive quality for men.
