I hated the price of i20 initially but then after a week's worth of analysis I have realized that the vehicle has many enhancements/features for the money it demands. For an additional 1 to 1.5 lakhs, you get few of the below features that the top model of other brands in the premium hatchback segment miss out on. 1. Better interior width that enhances rear seat space and enhanced wheel base giving additional legroom 2. Higher tyre profile size for better grip on the roads 3. Refined proven engine with 4 cylinders 4. Tilt and telescopic steering wheel 5. One of the best infotainment system in terms of size, clarity which functions with no lags 6. Rear parking camera having one of the best resolution sizes with assist function 7. Digital meter with TPMS 8. 6 Airbags 9. Bose speaker system 10. Sunroof and ambient lighting 11. Traction control and Vehicle Stability Management 12. DRVM and Hill launch assist 13. Cruise control (present in Altroz) 14. LED Projector Headlights and Puddle lamps 15. Low maintenance and peace of mind warranty with Hyundai. People with low running can opt for 4 years/5 years warranty. 16. Wireless charging 17. Bluelink technology 18. Oxyboost air purifier Again I am all in for 'Vocal for Local' and I love TATA and Mahindra cars but just feel that Hyundai is getting bashed for no reason. As for the NIOS NCAP rating, Tata zest with airbags scored 4 stars while without airbag scored 0 stars. Not doubting the NCAP rating but then Venue has had 4 stars rating too. So wont be totally fair to criticize i20 by jumping the gun before the actual results are out.

Bro we have booked i20 magna and delivery of it is tomorrow.I wanted to know there is no seat height adjustment in it so, if they r is no seat height adjustment then what will be the placement of it i mean will the seat be at very low,medium or very high and one more thing I wanted to know that when you drive this car then will u adjust height or u will drive in the default height. my height is 5.9 foot will there be any problem driving in it I mean the visibility in it or will I get difficulties in it to ride coz there is no height adjustable naa so...also its a premium hatchbag so its seating will be low only.... why you need comparison? I20 is no.1 120 PS power and 172 MN torque with fuel efficiency of 20 kmpl and 5 star safety. Nothing can even come close to i20

Previous generation i20s didn't had to face a segment of compact SUVs and compact Sedans that much. This year i20 will go through that it will face immense competition and to be honest with materials used and neglecting few important features upfront is quite disappointing. As your previous video of hatchback or a compact sedan it really proved to be more practical. Now a days if a person is spending close 8 lacs then the person will always opt for a compact suv unless he/she is required hatch only.
What is the use of compact suv if it doesnt provide better legroom and comfort for inner passengers with less features and with a higher price..only for a slightly better ground clearance y should one choose compact suv..also premium hatch and compact suv share almost same engine and power torque figs..

Great car but a bit expensive ☹️. All the exciting and premium features are only the top Variant which is very costly (costs as much as Nexon top variant). The Variant which competes with top ends of other Premium hatchbacks, i20 sportz, has lesser features that top Variants of Altroz, Baleno.

Wrong average mentioned My 1.2l gives 17 avg at highway and 12 avg in city with ac on at 2 If you drive gently it gives upto 13.5 in city and 18 to 19 on highway
Looks like Rachit Sir is trying so hard to defend the extra price for the new i20 than the Hyundai India itself. This is introductory price which means it is going to get more expensive in comming month. Considering that it will be almost 2 L more expensive than Top spec Altroz. And top spec Altroz has all the tech n features which is required in daily driving. And people who are buying this car on finance they have to pay extra intrest amount for that additional 2 L so I think price is too high this time when you have all the compact SUVs. Additionally one more point. People can buy top spec Altroz and with the additional 2 L they can get a decent small second hand car.

@@abcdefgh-lq6hy Agree Tata quality is not at par with Hyundai but asking this much premium for that is never a solution. There are other aspects of owning a car also like parts are more costly in Hyundai then Tata for eg I have replaced ORVM for both Tata Car(Nexon 2018) and i20 2017 model and for Tata it was arround 1300/- + tax and for Hyundai it was 2500/- + tax. So clearly the cost of ownership is high but service quality is better than Tata (not the best). And Hyundai already have Vennue which is almost similarly priced and higher segment car than new i20 so for me i20 new pricing doesn't make sense. But yes i am sure that people will buy this still if they don't have budget issue but my point is we have other sensible option than new i20 outside Hyundai or even within Hyundai itself.

It's such a pity how people keep ignoring safety aspects and fall for the bling features. I Just dropped Kia Sonet HTX DIESEL off my list after seeing how it's BADASS BIG brother SELTOS performed in GNCAP. Will only buy a car with a minimum 4star ratings and stable bodyshell. Hyundai+Kia are not bothered with GNCAP ratings as junta will see 10inch screen and fit and finish and just lap it up.
When the Badass was launched in the first few months,many had to rely ( if at all interested) on the Australian NCAP which had a 5 ⭐ rating. But since us lot get enamoured more by features than by safety,the latter goes at the very back end of our requirements (sadly). Hopefully people will be a lot wiser going ahead.
before there was less competition.. today the scenario is completely different. There is cut throat competition not just in the hatchback segment.. but the price at which i20 is launching you can start to get top models of solid compact SUVs like Nexon and even the base variant of Seltos. This is 2020, the pricing is absurd. Hyundai stop taking advantage of the trust of people and stop looting them like this.

In terms of sales old i20 is also above altroz forget about new one. Safety rating stars are only for base variant, top model i20 has 6 airbags including side curtains. Altroz has only 2 airbags in top variant.
Mercedes send it's new hatch back to rachit.. when Rachit realises Altroz is also a hatch back.. Rachit straight away finds 10 things that are better in altroz than merc

Having bought i20 petrol (as last year there was no turbo petrol available), i found out that they reduced the power from 1400cc to 1198 cc for BS 6. and as i am a mountain resident, i have driven it on hills and plains both. the car (non turbo petrol version) seriously lacks the power and torque in 3rd gear. every time you will need to shift down to 2nd or 1st very often in hills,barely you will use the 3rd gear climbing uphills as it has no power ( that is not the case with other cars of same segment !) the same strategy applies for overtaking in plain highways. For a guy who is new to this car, he will feel it difficult to overtake without having shifted down the gear to 2nd. If not done in time it may turn into something else. it is a nice family car but a serious disappointment for anyone who cares about revving the engine for performance. skoda rapid, polo and even maruti suzuki cars dont have this problem. its a fun to drive them. on the top the suspension is way too soft if compared to polo. every small hole in road will make you put the brakes on. its more sensitive than should have been. all the new buyers, do get this in mind, you will get all the features loaded in this i20, but you will not get the power and punch that young guys need at the first place. diesel variant is hopefully good. and off course the turbo petrol will be a savage but at the cost of low mileage ( mileage was the issue because of which they reduced the displacement from 1.4 ltr to 1.2 ltr now) . all the best
Instead of going too end of i20, we can buy Nexon top end. The Variant of i20 which is affordable and competes with Altroz, Skoda Rapid and Baleno is i20 sportz which doesn't offer much features. I can understand the absence of sunroof, 10 inch touchscreen, air filter (which are the only things which make this care different and more premium) but rear seat head rest, engine start stop, rear wiper/defogger, alloy wheels are also not offered! Which are offered in Baleno and Altroz. Altroz even offers rain sensing wiper. So why would people who are in the right state of mind opt i20 sportz when there are other better options.
@@Biru_0608 i20 has 6 airbags including side curtain. If anyone bangs from side, curtains will help you even though it is 3 or 4 star. Which Altroz does not have
@@lordthou Altroz is also tested from side ...see global ncap video and got 5* No..global ncap testing only those variant which sales more ...like kia seltos base variant sales more i.e. why they tested base variant
If you try to sit a little closer to the steering , the AC console hits the knee when you rest your leg on dead pedal, the AC intrudes into space for leg, bad design, I have to sit quite back but prefer sitting closer to clutch. Bought it now, and have to adjust.

High chamce to get nonrepairable denta directly on the crease-lines. Mild brushing with any hard object can chip off the paint in those areas.

Looks like Rachit Sir is trying so hard to defend the extra price for the new i20 than the Hyundai India itself.
This is introductory price which means it is going to get more expensive in comming month. Considering that it will be almost 2 L more expensive than Top spec Altroz. And top spec Altroz has all the tech n features which is required in daily driving. And people who are buying this car on finance they have to pay extra intrest amount for that additional 2 L so I think price is too high this time when you have all the compact SUVs.
Additionally one more point. People can buy top spec Altroz and with the additional 2 L they can get a decent small second hand car.

@@abcdefgh-lq6hy Agree Tata quality is not at par with Hyundai but asking this much premium for that is never a solution. There are other aspects of owning a car also like parts are more costly in Hyundai then Tata for eg I have replaced ORVM for both Tata Car(Nexon 2018) and i20 2017 model and for Tata it was arround 1300/- + tax and for Hyundai it was 2500/- + tax. So clearly the cost of ownership is high but service quality is better than Tata (not the best). And Hyundai already have Vennue which is almost similarly priced and higher segment car than new i20 so for me i20 new pricing doesn't make sense. But yes i am sure that people will buy this still if they don't have budget issue but my point is we have other sensible option than new i20 outside Hyundai or even within Hyundai itself.

It's such a pity how people keep ignoring safety aspects and fall for the bling features. I Just dropped Kia Sonet HTX DIESEL off my list after seeing how it's BADASS BIG brother SELTOS performed in GNCAP. Will only buy a car with a minimum 4star ratings and stable bodyshell. Hyundai+Kia are not bothered with GNCAP ratings as junta will see 10inch screen and fit and finish and just lap it up.
When the Badass was launched in the first few months,many had to rely ( if at all interested) on the Australian NCAP which had a 5 ⭐ rating. But since us lot get enamoured more by features than by safety,the latter goes at the very back end of our requirements (sadly). Hopefully people will be a lot wiser going ahead.

before there was less competition.. today the scenario is completely different. There is cut throat competition not just in the hatchback segment.. but the price at which i20 is launching you can start to get top models of solid compact SUVs like Nexon and even the base variant of Seltos. This is 2020, the pricing is absurd. Hyundai stop taking advantage of the trust of people and stop looting them like this.
We don't get top models of compact suv in I20 price segment... Seltos base varient is costlier bro

In terms of sales old i20 is also above altroz forget about new one. Safety rating stars are only for base variant, top model i20 has 6 airbags including side curtains. Altroz has only 2 airbags in top variant.

Having bought i20 petrol (as last year there was no turbo petrol available), i found out that they reduced the power from 1400cc to 1198 cc for BS 6.
and as i am a mountain resident, i have driven it on hills and plains both. the car (non turbo petrol version) seriously lacks the power and torque in 3rd gear. every time you will need to shift down to 2nd or 1st very often in hills,barely you will use the 3rd gear climbing uphills as it has no power ( that is not the case with other cars of same segment !)
the same strategy applies for overtaking in plain highways. For a guy who is new to this car, he will feel it difficult to overtake without having shifted down the gear to 2nd. If not done in time it may turn into something else.
it is a nice family car but a serious disappointment for anyone who cares about revving the engine for performance. skoda rapid, polo and even maruti suzuki cars dont have this problem. its a fun to drive them. on the top the suspension is way too soft if compared to polo. every small hole in road will make you put the brakes on. its more sensitive than should have been. all the new buyers, do get this in mind, you will get all the features loaded in this i20, but you will not get the power and punch that young guys need at the first place. diesel variant is hopefully good. and off course the turbo petrol will be a savage but at the cost of low mileage ( mileage was the issue because of which they reduced the displacement from 1.4 ltr to 1.2 ltr now) . all the best

Instead of going too end of i20, we can buy Nexon top end. The Variant of i20 which is affordable and competes with Altroz, Skoda Rapid and Baleno is i20 sportz which doesn't offer much features. I can understand the absence of sunroof, 10 inch touchscreen, air filter (which are the only things which make this care different and more premium) but rear seat head rest, engine start stop, rear wiper/defogger, alloy wheels are also not offered! Which are offered in Baleno and Altroz. Altroz even offers rain sensing wiper. So why would people who are in the right state of mind opt i20 sportz when there are other better options.

If you try to sit a little closer to the steering , the AC console hits the knee when you rest your leg on dead pedal, the AC intrudes into space for leg, bad design, I have to sit quite back but prefer sitting closer to clutch. Bought it now, and have to adjust.
