It's hard to beat the Tecmo Bowl port on the Gameboy. I played the bejeesus out of this game. For the NES I prefer Bowl over Super Bowl because for multiplayer the simplicity allows just about anyone to play.
@@backinthedaygamer According to Wikipedia: "In the United States, American football is referred to as "football". The term "football" was officially established in the rulebook for the 1876 college football season, when the sport first shifted from soccer-style rules to rugby-style rules. Although it could easily have been called "rugby" at this point, Harvard, one of the primary proponents of the rugby-style game, compromised and did not request the name of the sport be changed to "rugby"." "The term soccer comes from a slang or jocular abbreviation of the word "association", with the suffix "-er" appended to it. The word soccer (which arrived at its final form in 1895) was first recorded in 1889 in the earlier form of socca."
@@MarcoMazziniYT So who let the name football be used when every other country was already using it for something else. Seems like somebody really dropped the "football" on that one.
