      I just got accepted into my first pageant! I’m not a girly girl so I’m really stressing but the hardest part so far was doing an interview since I have never done one in my life and then getting accepted! I didn’t think I was actually going to get accepted but I did! I believe in both of you and you two will do great!

    Please post a video on tips regarding how to walk down steps in heels during the pageant. It’s so scary to catch a shoe on the steps a take a hard tumble. I’m always tripping or stepping on my dress which causes me to trip. I feel as though I should just wear flats. Local pageants sometimes use steps that are the normal 4” high and there are at least 5 steps to walk down…why is it so easy for some but so difficult for me, especially in those platform shoes! TYIA.

    My biggest issue so far is my walk. What’s worse are my arms and hands. According to my cousin, my right arm was too stiff and I needed to relax. I have an issue with that though, I use my right arm the most so it’s really used to being stiff and all.

    Is it wrong walking with ur hands on ur hips?

    • @CrystalClues
      @CrystalClues  3 года назад +1

      Not wrong but in my opinion it depends on your body type, length of the stage, and what you’re wearing. If it’s a long runway and you’re wearing a ball gown style, you can do it - as long as you don’t look robotic. You still have to switch up other elements (face, head angle) so you don’t just look stiff

    Women have different walking styles.
    My favorite is where the hips do not swing, but rather stay level and rotate on a vertical axis with each step. It might look kind of stiff, but to me it's what a woman's "wiggle" is.

    • @CrystalClues
      @CrystalClues  4 года назад +2

      An 8 inch heel is only 8 inches when you measure the full heel, and if someone is wearing 8 inch heels that has to include the inches on the platform itself. It’s usually a 4-5 inch heel without the platform, like what I’m wearing.

      Depends on the organizations. Some impose height limits, so your heel length will depend on your height and the limit. Some impose fixed heel heights usually 4 inches+. Modeling is a different story.
