Eagles misused Swift, heavily.. more towards the mid/end of the season. Mostly misused in the pass game so hopefully see more of that with the weapons in Chicago opening up dump offs/TEs like Kmet. Running behind eagles OL or even the Lions OL is way different than the average at best Bears OL. Swift is gonna look real bad this year without the types of gaps he used to getting up front
All aboit versatility. Swift is a thousand yard running back. So you've got Herbert, Johnson and Swift. Who are they running against you at any given time? Depth is the name of the game with the level of complexity of Waldon's scheme
This actually solidifies roschons role as a bigger back. Swift isn’t going to be the hard yards back. It looks like the bears will expect Johnson to do it.
this analysis totally misses the fact that CW will throw massive amounts of check-down passes to Swift this year and Swift is top ten in pass catching and running in space. This makes Swift very valuable in fantasy as an RB. Poles is as shrewd a GM as there is and he's not spending to fill cap space. That's a stupid comment. Swift is CW's safety valve. If the WRs are covered, CW will toss a check down to Swift and let him do his thing.
We got the only 3 headed monster rb room ! We will have elite play action this years or we gone run down ur throat and wen u get tired johnson will be running u over for the rest of the game This is genius 💯
Nearly 80% of the time Swift is targeted he catches the ball . Plus he is a 1,000 yard rusher. And Johnson is good catching the ball also. I see plenty of hot routes to make up for the lacking offensive line. also the new tight end catches over 66% . The Bears are getting someone that can catch at a high percentage all over the Field. I like it Spread the Field, no more just targeting Moore. Now they need a WR 2 , Scott isn't it .
"why did they get him" "he fits waldrons scheme" Must have not watched any eagles game, dude has great big play making abilities. It would be nice to have someone other than fields making big plays every game. Swift could be that guy, plus hes a pass catcher.
That's awesome, I never could get a hold of Roschon, so finally a signing doesn't hurt me. Last season I think every running back signing hurt me. lol I'm vindictive.
It's not an amazing signing, but I don't think it's bad. I think the Bears DID need another running back, and he is now our best one. Swift has limitations, for sure, but he is explosive. I want Caleb to get as much help as possible, and an upgraded RB corps helps that. I think the Bears will grab at least one of every position you mentioned in the draft.
Pretty late to the video but I said it while ago.. swift only takes what the Oline gives him. Once he gets to the 2nd level it’s almost like he gets scared to put his head down a little to these safeties or smaller lbs
Nice to hear it isn't all Roses with D'andre. The fact that he knows Justin Fields from high school days plus Georgia though should be a good ice breaker in the locker room. So he comes with experience in the Waldron Offense too is a plus. Expensive ? I see that aspect.

what a hater there’s a clear upgrade from a pure downhill runner in khalil herbert to someone that can catch the ball and be explosive and shift at the same time stop being bitter about the bears
The tush push hindered his TDs. Go back and watch how many times swift got them down to the 3-1 yard line and half the shit you guys are saying is just inaccurate😂 this RB class is ASS too.
Yes, I 100% agree he got us to 1 or 3 yards short of the goal line or line to gain on many occasions... That however is the biggest weakness in his game that was alluded here. There were some key plays against the Seahawks that made me see why Duce was so hard on him in Detroit about avoiding contact to finish runs. There were 2 near the goaline runs where I thought it was at least a guaranteed 1st down and a likely TD. He felt short in a really awkward way like a WR avoiding contact instead of running through to insure a 1st down or a TD. The next play was that somewhat infamous Kelce cheat the ball for an extra inch or 2 false start, which negated the tush push. The tush push definitely hindered his TDs, but it glossed over the fact that Swift could not or would not fight for those extra 1-3 yards to get that TD or 1st down of his own.
Comparing Swift to Herbert or Johnson is weak sauce. While I don't believe Swift is elite, he is well-rounded in the rushing and receiving game. Something that the 2023 roster didn't provide. The Bears telegraphed their play calling with the committee approach.
We could’ve gotten a better RB average at best. If Chicago is a** next this year, I swear everyone needs to be gone. They should’ve did it this year if they knew they wasn’t keeping fields.
