Fantastic work. It reminds me my mom sewing lots of these, to make our blankets and keep us warm when me and my sibilings were kids. Her love has no limits.
Back in the 70's I bought calico fabrics wherever I found it and chose color combinations to make designs on the quilt. I ripped the fabric in 5 inch squares after measuring and clipping the edge. Real calico is all cotton and rips straight. I then sewed squares with half inch hems in strips and then sewed the strips together. I stuffed the quilts with Mountain Mist and held the top to the bottom with a stitch and tie of rug yarn to keep stuffing in place while washing. Where the rug yarn is tied will also make a pattern. Great baby quilts and gifts. The king size quilt was hard to handle.

@@anushaiyer2487 yes. But these were quick and unique quilts. Machine washable. Great baby quilts for a gift. Lots of loft for a floor blanket. Nobody else made them this way.

Esse tipo de trabalho caprichado nunca sai de moda.Meus netos me viram lavando um antigo cobertor desses de retalhos logo pediram que eu fizesse para eles.Fiquei até emocionada pois me lembrei da minha maãe e tias que também faziam !

I recently just got a new one. I had an old one for 6 years before my granny took it from me lol it is an old machine and still works

I cut straps, sew them on one side. Sew them together, then cut long and carefully measured straps, alternating colors. Lock and pin.
