Washed my HD like this once. My gauges didn't work at all for about 3 weeks afterward. No indicator lights, no speedometer, no response whatsoever. It still started and ran fine. Then all of the sudden, they just started working again like nothing ever happened. Very strange. Needless to say I never washed it like that again. My baby gets a hand wash every time now.
Watching this video is a torture! Poor bike 😥😪 1- Never wash any damn bike engine HOT ! 2- Never inject soap under pressure into the internal compound and connectors . 😫 3- Never clean any bike with pressurized water . Forget this above 3 points if you don't care about your baby. My baby lovely Sportster 💖only get hand wash and only from me. I use hand sprayer (no pressure) to spray the water to the confined places......the same for the soap....then again water. Dry every thing with hand and microfiber towel then immediately apply a layer of Nanowax . The bike looks like first time I bought it. I never ride it under rain, I only use it for cruising around, it is my therapy ...
Errore grossolano! Mai lavare la moto calda. Il repentino raffreddamento, soprattutto della vernice e delle parti cromate, danneggia dette parti. Tra l'altro la schiuma costituisce solo un prelavaggio per eliminare preventivamente le impurità per evitare di graffiare la moto con il lavaggio a spugna o con il guanto.
Sheesh does it still run lol. Man drowned the bike like it was a car in that soap and then was up close with high pressure gun. Perfect example of how not to wash a bike. Need better biker friends. Just got this bike 2 weeks ago and they literally told me HAND WASH ONLY W/ COOL ENGINE!!!!
Anch’io ci avevo pensato ma... 1) da quanto ne só, quei prodotti sono molto Corrosivi 2) non mi avvicinerei così vicino con la pistola , con quella pressione si rischia seriamente infiltrazioni d’acqua nel reparto elettrico... e qualche parte di vernice potrebbe anche venir via....

I wash this one of mine regularly!I wait for it to cool down.For now everything is working out how.

for being a public foam cannon im impressed . the ones here in AZ do more of a spit then spray lol
You can do this but I'd do it from below the bars and with a cooled down engine and without wearing my helmet.

I love washing my bike in the mornings when it’s nice and cold. Not sure if it’s smart to wash it while it’s been running.

Motorcycles are splash proof, not water proof, never do that, hand wash her and make her look all pretty.
