I'm late coming to the table, but praise God, He seems to be drawing me there! I'm coming out of Babylon, and my sins of 55 years are so great, and many so ingrained in who I have become that it is a little scary, but I realize now that I have been relying on my own strength to overcome, and I just gave up. The summary of Ellen G. Whites argument is this concerning the Apostasy of the Apostolic Church from her book "Great Controversy" is thus: 1. The Apostle Paul and John warned that the Apostasy of the Christ instituted. This was already occurring in 53AD when the Apostle Paul wrote 2Thessalonians 2 while at the same time the Apostle Paul as calling the Pope "Cephas" meaning Rock. And, prior to that Christ named Him "Rock" from the moment Christ called him and so did every other Apostle who spoke the Aramaic language, as Christ and most of Judea at the time. Only those who DISOBEYED the Church could be saved in her teaching. 6. She then claimed by the time of Constantine, the entire known world of Christianity had fallen away to join forces with the Pope and that was "The Great Falling Away" prophecied in 2Thess. 2:4 in 325AD. 7. For Ellen G. White, persecution and martyrdom of the Church was a good thing and the church living in peaceful times was deplorable. She would have preferred that the torture of the Christians continued than have peace. 8. In the end, Ellen G. White and the Adventist church teaches the Papacy didn't begin until 538AD according to their 1260 day prophecy, but that conflicts directly with their own writings which say the Papacy was already ruling in 325AD, which is 217 years difference. Ellen G. White writes explicitly in Chapter 3 of the book Great Controversy, speaking of the time of Constantine in 325AD less than 200 years after Christ: *"THE GREAT APOSTATE HAD SUCCEEDED in exalting himself “above all that is called God, or that is worshiped.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4. We must never forget that the obedience God desires is not that done out of some sense of legal obligation, but that which is done because Holy Spirit is continuously working to transform our hearts and minds (character) into His own image. Through the promise and power of personal transformation, it becomes perfectly NATURAL for our will and desires to be obedient to God’s own, and God’s will and character never contradict His own self-sacrificial love, even to the cross.
What you have said here is correct but it is contradictory to the teaching of Ellen White and SDA generally. They put the emphasis on the individual's own efforts to obey God and focusing on the Decalogue, especially the 4th Commandment , as if that focus will save them. The focus is not on the Sacrifice of Christ and being empowered by His Spirit.

White. While there are indeed legalists within the SDA church, just as there are within all denominations, legalistic obedience is absolutely not compatible with our teachings, despite the fact many misconstrue them as such.

I was a student of Ellen White's writings for several years and know them well too. She regularly contradicts herself and teaches contrary things. She teaches both a Gospel of salvation by Faith alone as well as an insistence that perfect keeping of the Decalogue is an absolute requirement for those who know of it. I am no beginner in this matter and I say with conviction and personal experience that Ellen White and SDA doctrine is false and demonic.

" The righteous dead will not be raised until after the judgment at which they are accounted worthy of "the resurrection of life." Hence they will not be present in person at the tribunal when their records are examined and their cases decided. Jesus will appear as their advocate, to plead in their behalf before God. "If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." 1 John 2:1. ( GC chpt 28) Right there she teaches that Christ's role as Advocate to plead and help the sinner break free from sin happens only then, at the supposed Investigative Judgement that supposedly started in 1844. That is demonic and contrary to scripture. Christ is our Advocate and pleads for and blots out our sins as it becomes necessary throughout our walk in Him NOT ,at a future appointment in the IJ. Christians are in Christ not in Sin and though they may sin and seek forgiveness they did not become unsaved and then resaved. She even quotes this scripture but ignores its real meaning: "Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25. He is always doing that work for the repentant Christian not at some special event called the IJ. A Christian is not cast out for slipping and committing a sin but for living in Sin. She continues " As the books of record are opened in the judgment, the lives of all who have believed on Jesus come in review before God. Beginning with those who first lived upon the earth, our Advocate presents the cases of each successive generation, and closes with the living. Every name is mentioned, every case closely investigated. Names are accepted, names rejected. When any have sins remaining upon the books of record, unrepented of and unforgiven, their names will be blotted out of the book of life, and the record of their good deeds will be erased from the book of God's remembrance." Where in scripture does it say a saint of the Lord will be examined for sins in their Judgement? The Lord just registers that they are in Him and therefore not in Sin and that is it. No search and examination for any particular sins here or there. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." John 5:24. Unfortunately for Mrs White no one revealed to her that the KJV translation of Acts 3:19 was inaccurate. She thought that it means that the Christian's sins will be blotted out WHEN the times of refreshing shall come form the Lord but the accurate translation says differently. "Acts 3:19, NASB: Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" The blotting out happens when the person repents and accepts Christ as Lord and continues to be applied as needed NOT at a special IJ event in the future. It is the sinners, living in sin who are examined in detail and shown all their sins so they understand the justice of their condemnation at their individual judgement. She continues " Sins that have not been repented of and forsaken will not be pardoned and blotted out of the books of record, but will stand to witness against the sinner in the day of God. He may have committed his evil deeds in the light of day or in the darkness of night; but they were open and manifest before Him with whom we have to do. Angels of God witnessed each sin and registered it in the unerring records. Sin may be concealed, denied, covered up from father, mother, wife, children, and associates; no one but the guilty actors may cherish the least suspicion of the wrong; but it is laid bare before the intelligences of heaven. The darkness of the darkest night, the secrecy of all deceptive arts, is not sufficient to veil one thought from the knowledge of the Eternal. God has an exact record of every unjust account and every unfair dealing. He is not deceived by appearances of piety. He makes no mistakes in His estimation of character. Men may be deceived by those who are corrupt in heart, but God pierces all disguises and reads the inner life. " Does that sound like any portion of the life of a person who ever genuinely accepted Christ? That is a description of what happens in God's dealings with people still living in Sin, NOT Christians who have slipped and fallen and repent. Mrs White totally conflates the attitude to the sinners with that of those in Christ and therefore makes the emphasis one of a focus on the Decalogue and trying one's best not to sin and to remember to repent. It is a mode that induces a terror of God and His judgement which is fitting for a sinner but not a saint. That is why she says the following" "Those who would share the benefits of the Saviour's mediation should permit nothing to interfere with their duty to perfect holiness in the fear of God" The emphasis is on the Adventist doing their duty which implies their own effort and not a focus on simply surrendering to Christ and His Love. Of course there are quotes where she does mention depending on Christ's power to overcome but that is contradicted by statements like those above and the teaching that man does not have a soul/spirit but is a living soul by virtue of breath and a physical body. Adventism seems to be about making the "narrow way" even narrower. The Gospel is virtually never front and centre, couched in ifs, buts and maybe's and easily buried in a plethora of other stuff. Mathew 24-14, the Gospel of the Kingdom is the bedrock of Christianity that feels like an aside within SDA circles. Thank God for Des Ford and his Gospel emphasis.

..I most certainly appreciate all of the endeavors of those who have the conviction in what they believe to teach it. Sadly,..all of us "insist" we have been convinced of the truth,..yet we do not have all the truth. In the instance of the "three angels", the first flew in the midst of heaven having what? It was the "everlasting gospel"! Shouldn't we believe it was the "same" gospel that Jesus taught? Wasn't it about the "Kingdom of God", ie. Mt.4:23, Mt.9:35,..and didn't the angel say also to "..worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."? There was nothing in that gospel that said he had created anything! When Jesus asked his disciples, "...Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?",..did Peter say, "..well, the Creator of heaven and earth, the Divine God!" No,..we are told that Simon Peter, by "divine" inspiration,..said, that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God! Note,..if Jesus would have wanted them to understand he was "divine" like His Father, and he was actually the Creator,..don't you think he would have said so right here?..Or, would not have the Father also revealed that? After all, didn't Jesus himself say in Jo.15:15,..that his disciples were not called his servants,..but friends, and went on to say that, "...all things that I have heard of my father I have made known unto you." So, do you think after telling that to his disciples,...that they would still be on a "only need-to-know basis?" I doubt it! I do not understand the second angel to announcing anything more than what we learn about Babylon, and testifying all nations made drunk by the wine(false gospel) of her fornication. I accept also, the third angel's warning of the worship of the beast and taking it's mark. However, I disagree with the understanding that observance of the sabbath is associated with those that are "sealed". Re.14:1 clearly tells us, the 144,000 standing on Mount Sion with the Lamb have his Father's "name" written in their foreheads. Note,...these were "not" defiled with women, but are described as virgins! Are not "women" symbolized by churches? And are not "virgins" referring to those that never were part of any "false" or "splinter" church? We are told those 144,000 are the "redeemed" from among men, and in whose mouth there was no guile,..and were without "fault"! Re.14:4-5. Are we not told in Re.7:4-8,..that the 144,000 consisted 12,000 each from the tribes of Israel? So,..could there be another group of 144,000?,..or should we understand the 144,000 of Re.14 the same group? And,...don't we read in Eph.1:13 that we who "believe", are "sealed" with that holy Spirit of promise?,...and the same is qualified of the Spirit in Eph.4:30,..we are "sealed" unto the day of redemption ...no? According to Re.7:3,..harm does not come to those that are the "sealed" servants of God,..and the same is "in"(as in their minds) their foreheads. It is my understanding "today",..that "sign" and "seal",..refer to separate things. Is it possible,..that "mark" and "seal" could have the same meaning? Ezk.9:4 seems to indicate, that may be the case. I am a "sabbath" observer, and believe that it was a "sign" to show our alliance to the Almighty that we are His people, and He is our Mighty One! BUT He used different "signs" at different times as illustrated in Exodus, Deuteronomy, Judges, and Ezekiel,..and not all pertained to the observation of the "sabbath",..but to His laws, statutes, judgements, percepts, testimonies,..and other things. We ought to understand being "sealed" as taking precedence,....no?

Then read through from Genesis to Revelation. Reading the whole Bible once a year, and doing Bible studies help. John Barnett, the link I shared, does many Bible studies, and classes. When something is hard to understand, you can study, and pray for understanding. God is generous, and gives to those who ask sincerely.

Many people have this same dilemma and it’s not easy to give up a good job, however, with sincere prayer to God and a willing heart He will help you! Some testimonies I have heard have shown that when they gave the problem to God He opened the door to a new and better job or He touched the heart of the employer to give them a different shift so they could honor God! Have Faith!
I prayed about it working Fri evenings. I told the Lord I wanted to go back to keeping the Sabbath. Suddenly my boss was calling me to say we were being changed to a 9/80 work schedule. Do I want Fridays off which would be every other of Monday? I said Friday with the exception that I could work earlier and be off by a certain time. So she decided to put me on all other days earlier, 6am to 330pm but on the Fridays I work I would get off at 230pm. A 9/80 means that you work 9 hrs 4 days a week, have Fri, Sat Sun off then the next week you work Mon to Thurs 9 hrs but on Fri work 8 hrs. So this is what the Lord did for me. I prayed for 3 or 4 mos and He answered my prayer! Keep praying and let the Lord know how much you want to keep Sabbath. 🙏

I have struggled with this, although, I was a vegetarian for 6 years and never had a problem with it. But since I now know animals are being fed GMO fake food, which is horrible, and now those monsters want to give mRNA shots to all the animals, I understand WHY we can't eat meat of animal products and you better grow your own food (if you can.) All grains are sprayed with glyposate just prior to harvest..so be careful to only eat organic grains

The JEWISH disciples kept the Sabbath because before they converted to Christ , *because they were JEWS* , NOT because they were Christians. The disciples were all Jews long before they were followers or even heard of Christ and as such, were keepers of the WHOLE law, not just the 10 commandments! After the resurrection of Christ, *They worshiped Christ on the first day of the week because they were Christians! and commanded to by Christ himself. * *Jesus nor the Apostles taught Sabbath keeping to the Gentiles And, at no time did any of the prophets beginning with Moses, ever teach that the Sabbath was obligated to Gentile Nations. What this is really all about is the APPEARANCE Sabbath keeping as a right to *claim* they keep the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments has never stood in the way of them doing or saying unspeakable evil in the name of the appearance "Sabbath keeping" . . The bottom line is, they don't keep either the Sabbath or the 10 commandments. It' just a means of "Drawing Away" followers from other churches to feed themselves.

We are to think on what is true, Philippians 4:8. Truth is higher than knowledge and is a distinction that should emphasized by the believer. Elohim has allowed for the truth to be revealed and we must accept and agree to the truth, even when it is difficult to do. When the messiah came he revealed the truth and it was difficult for the Pharisees to accept but we all must repent and turn to the truth. I do believe the 3rd angels message is being sounded. What a time, what a time we are in now!!!
We must never forget that the obedience God desires is not that done out of some sense of legal obligation, but that which is done because Holy Spirit is continuously working to transform our hearts and minds (character) into His own image. Through the promise and power of personal transformation, it becomes perfectly NATURAL for our will and desires to be obedient to God’s own, and God’s will and character never contradict His own self-sacrificial love, even to the cross.
What you have said here is correct but it is contradictory to the teaching of Ellen White and SDA generally.
They put the emphasis on the individual's own efforts to obey God and focusing on the Decalogue, especially the 4th Commandment , as if that focus will save them.
The focus is not on the Sacrifice of Christ and being empowered by His Spirit.

White. While there are indeed legalists within the SDA church, just as there are within all denominations, legalistic obedience is absolutely not compatible with our teachings, despite the fact many misconstrue them as such.

She regularly contradicts herself and teaches contrary things.
She teaches both a Gospel of salvation by Faith alone as well as an insistence that perfect keeping of the Decalogue is an absolute requirement for those who know of it.

Ellen White confuses the details of the biblical passages on Judgement and Atonement constantly.
She says for instance.
" The righteous dead will not be raised until after the judgment at which they are accounted worthy of "the resurrection of life." Hence they will not be present in person at the tribunal when their records are examined and their cases decided.
Jesus will appear as their advocate, to plead in their behalf before God. "If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." 1 John 2:1. ( GC chpt 28)
Right there she teaches that Christ's role as Advocate to plead and help the sinner break free from sin happens only then, at the supposed Investigative Judgement that supposedly started in 1844.
That is demonic and contrary to scripture.
Christ is our Advocate and pleads for and blots out our sins as it becomes necessary throughout our walk in Him NOT ,at a future appointment in the IJ. Christians are in Christ not in Sin and though they may sin and seek forgiveness they did not become unsaved and then resaved.
She even quotes this scripture but ignores its real meaning:
"Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25. He is always doing that work for the repentant Christian not at some special event called the IJ.
A Christian is not cast out for slipping and committing a sin but for living in Sin.
She continues " As the books of record are opened in the judgment, the lives of all who have believed on Jesus come in review before God. Beginning with those who first lived upon the earth, our Advocate presents the cases of each successive generation, and closes with the living. Every name is mentioned, every case closely investigated. Names are accepted, names rejected. When any have sins remaining upon the books of record, unrepented of and unforgiven, their names will be blotted out of the book of life, and the record of their good deeds will be erased from the book of God's remembrance."
Where in scripture does it say a saint of the Lord will be examined for sins in their Judgement?
The Lord just registers that they are in Him and therefore not in Sin and that is it. No search and examination for any particular sins here or there.
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." John 5:24.
Unfortunately for Mrs White no one revealed to her that the KJV translation of Acts 3:19 was inaccurate. She thought that it means that the Christian's sins will be blotted out WHEN the times of refreshing shall come form the Lord but the accurate translation says differently.
"Acts 3:19, NASB: Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" The blotting out happens when the person repents and accepts Christ as Lord and continues to be applied as needed NOT at a special IJ event in the future.
It is the sinners, living in sin who are examined in detail and shown all their sins so they understand the justice of their condemnation at their individual judgement.
She continues " Sins that have not been repented of and forsaken will not be pardoned and blotted out of the books of record, but will stand to witness against the sinner in the day of God. He may have committed his evil deeds in the light of day or in the darkness of night; but they were open and manifest before Him with whom we have to do. Angels of God witnessed each sin and registered it in the unerring records. Sin may be concealed, denied, covered up from father, mother, wife, children, and associates; no one but the guilty actors may cherish the least suspicion of the wrong; but it is laid bare before the intelligences of heaven. The darkness of the darkest night, the secrecy of all deceptive arts, is not sufficient to veil one thought from the knowledge of the Eternal. God has an exact record of every unjust account and every unfair dealing. He is not deceived by appearances of piety. He makes no mistakes in His estimation of character. Men may be deceived by those who are corrupt in heart, but God pierces all disguises and reads the inner life. "
Does that sound like any portion of the life of a person who ever genuinely accepted Christ?
That is a description of what happens in God's dealings with people still living in Sin, NOT Christians who have slipped and fallen and repent.
Mrs White totally conflates the attitude to the sinners with that of those in Christ and therefore makes the emphasis one of a focus on the Decalogue and trying one's best not to sin and to remember to repent.
It is a mode that induces a terror of God and His judgement which is fitting for a sinner but not a saint.
That is why she says the following"
"Those who would share the benefits of the Saviour's mediation should permit nothing to interfere with their duty to perfect holiness in the fear of God"
The emphasis is on the Adventist doing their duty which implies their own effort and not a focus on simply surrendering to Christ and His Love.
Of course there are quotes where she does mention depending on Christ's power to overcome but that is contradicted by statements like those above and the teaching that man does not have a soul/spirit but is a living soul by virtue of breath and a physical body.
I can go into much more detail but that should be enough for now.

Adventism seems to be about making the "narrow way" even narrower. The Gospel is virtually never front and centre, couched in ifs, buts and maybe's and easily buried in a plethora of other stuff. In the instance of the "three angels", the first flew in the midst of heaven having what? It was the "everlasting gospel"! Shouldn't we believe it was the "same" gospel that Jesus taught?
Wasn't it about the "Kingdom of God", ie. Mt.4:23, Mt.9:35,..and didn't the angel say also to "..worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."?
There was nothing in that gospel that said he had created anything! When Jesus asked his disciples, "...Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?",..did Peter say, "..well, the Creator of heaven and earth, the Divine God!"
No,..we are told that Simon Peter, by "divine" inspiration,..said, that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God!
Note,..if Jesus would have wanted them to understand he was "divine" like His Father, and he was actually the Creator,..don't you think he would have said so right here?..Or, would not have the Father also revealed that?
After all, didn't Jesus himself say in Jo.15:15,..that his disciples were not called his servants,..but friends, and went on to say that, "...all things that I have heard of my father I have made known unto you."

I do not understand the second angel to announcing anything more than what we learn about Babylon, and testifying all nations made drunk by the wine(false gospel) of her fornication.
I accept also, the third angel's warning of the worship of the beast and taking it's mark.

Re.14:1 clearly tells us, the 144,000 standing on Mount Sion with the Lamb have his Father's "name" written in their foreheads. Note,...these were "not" defiled with women, but are described as virgins!
Are not "women" symbolized by churches? And are not "virgins" referring to those that never were part of any "false" or "splinter" church?
We are told those 144,000 are the "redeemed" from among men, and in whose mouth there was no guile,..and were without "fault"! Re.14:4-5.
Are we not told in Re.7:4-8,..that the 144,000 consisted 12,000 each from the tribes of Israel? So,..could there be another group of 144,000?,..or should we understand the 144,000 of Re.14 the same group?
And,...don't we read in Eph.1:13 that we who "believe", are "sealed" with that holy Spirit of promise?,...and the same is qualified of the Spirit in Eph.4:30,..we are "sealed" unto the day of redemption ...no?
According to Re.7:3,..harm does not come to those that are the "sealed" servants of God,..and the same is "in"(as in their minds) their foreheads.
It is my understanding "today",..that "sign" and "seal",..refer to separate things. Is it possible,..that "mark" and "seal" could have the same meaning?
Ezk.9:4 seems to indicate, that may be the case.
I am a "sabbath" observer, and believe that it was a "sign" to show our alliance to the Almighty that we are His people, and He is our Mighty One!
BUT He used different "signs" at different times as illustrated in Exodus, Deuteronomy, Judges, and Ezekiel,..and not all pertained to the observation of the "sabbath",..but to His laws, statutes, judgements, percepts, testimonies,..and other things.

Meanwhile, the seal of God is said to be received in the forehead, symbolic of the fact that we cannot earn or deserve God’s forgiveness, we cannot make ourselves unselfish and we cannot inaugurate the kingdom of God by what we do.

2. The falling away, was NOT those who left the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. *but THOSE WHO REMAINED WITH the Apostolic Church* Christ instituted was "falling away" . And, ONLY those who would LEAVE the Church would be saved, while those who followed in obedience to the Church would be lost.
3. The falling away in her mind described in 2Thess. 2:4 *was caused by the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church abandoning the enforcement of the Sabbath commandment upon the Gentiles.* and that every Christ must become Jewish first, before claiming to be Christian and the claim of Cephas to be Pope.
4. Her claim was that faith in Christ and the Holy Spirit and the fruits of the Holy Spirit was and is not sufficient to keep a person from murdering or stealing..etc., thus the spirit of lawlessness. And, that only by the LAW of 10 commandments could keep people from sinning, not the Holy Spirit.
5. She also claimed that suddenly somewhere long before 325AD, the Catholic Church decided to have a Pope, who was the Vicar of Christ and no one in the entire known world protested. This was already occurring in 53AD when the Apostle Paul wrote 2Thessalonians 2 while at the same time the Apostle Paul as calling the Pope "Cephas" meaning Rock. And, prior to that Christ named Him "Rock" from the moment Christ called him and so did every other Apostle who spoke the Aramaic language, as Christ and most of Judea at the time. Only those who DISOBEYED the Church could be saved in her teaching.
6. She then claimed by the time of Constantine, the entire known world of Christianity had fallen away to join forces with the Pope and that was "The Great Falling Away" prophecied in 2Thess. 2:4 in 325AD.
7. For Ellen G. White, persecution and martyrdom of the Church was a good thing and the church living in peaceful times was deplorable. She would have preferred that the torture of the Christians continued than have peace.
8. In the end, Ellen G. White and the Adventist church teaches the Papacy didn't begin until 538AD according to their 1260 day prophecy, but that conflicts directly with their own writings which say the Papacy was already ruling in 325AD, which is 217 years difference. Ellen G. White writes explicitly in Chapter 3 of the book Great Controversy, speaking of the time of Constantine in 325AD less than 200 years after Christ: *"THE GREAT APOSTATE HAD SUCCEEDED in exalting himself “above all that is called God, or that is worshiped.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4. He (the Pope) had dared to change the only precept of the divine law that unmistakably points all mankind to the true and living God.* (Great Controversy Chapter 3. ….

Many people have this same dilemma and it’s not easy to give up a good job, however, with sincere prayer to God and a willing heart He will help you! Some testimonies I have heard have shown that when they gave the problem to God He opened the door to a new and better job or He touched the heart of the employer to give them a different shift so they could honor God! Have Faith!
I prayed about it working Fri evenings. I told the Lord I wanted to go back to keeping the Sabbath. Suddenly my boss was calling me to say we were being changed to a 9/80 work schedule. Do I want Fridays off which would be every other of Monday? I said Friday with the exception that I could work earlier and be off by a certain time. So she decided to put me on all other days earlier, 6am to 330pm but on the Fridays I work I would get off at 230pm. A 9/80 means that you work 9 hrs 4 days a week, have Fri, Sat Sun off then the next week you work Mon to Thurs 9 hrs but on Fri work 8 hrs. So this is what the Lord did for me. I prayed for 3 or 4 mos and He answered my prayer! Keep praying and let the Lord know how much you want to keep Sabbath. 🙏

I have struggled with this, although, I was a vegetarian for 6 years and never had a problem with it. Seventh Day Adventists have disqualified themselves from giving the everlasting Gospel. Why?? The summary of Ellen G. Whites argument is this concerning the Apostasy of the Apostolic Church from her book "Great Controversy" is thus:
1. The Apostle Paul and John warned that the Apostasy of the Christ instituted. And, that the apostacy of the Church along with the Apostles was going to happen and was already happening in 53AD and by 90AD, the Apostle John was already commanding people to *"Come out the Church Christ instituted upon the Apostles, the prophets and Christ being the chief cornerstone.* Thus, the "HER" and Harlot of Revelation 18 to EGW and Adventism is the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church and the book of Revelation is begging all the Christians to leave the Church Christ died for and John, Paul and all the Apostles labored to bring into the "ONE Faith", ONE Body, the ONE Church to an end regardless of Christ promise to never leave it or the gates of hell prevail over it.
2. The falling away, was NOT those who left the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. *but THOSE WHO REMAINED WITH the Apostolic Church* Christ instituted was "falling away" . And, ONLY those who would LEAVE the Church would be saved, while those who followed in obedience to the Church would be lost.
3. The falling away in her mind described in 2Thess. 2:4 *was caused by the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church abandoning the enforcement of the Sabbath commandment upon the Gentiles.* and that every Christ must become Jewish first, before claiming to be Christian and the claim of Cephas to be Pope.
4. Her claim was that faith in Christ and the Holy Spirit and the fruits of the Holy Spirit was and is not sufficient to keep a person from murdering or stealing..etc., thus the spirit of lawlessness. And, that only by the LAW of 10 commandments could keep people from sinning, not the Holy Spirit.
5. She also claimed that suddenly somewhere long before 325AD, the Catholic Church decided to have a Pope, who was the Vicar of Christ and no one in the entire known world protested. This was already occurring in 53AD when the Apostle Paul wrote 2Thessalonians 2 while at the same time the Apostle Paul as calling the Pope "Cephas" meaning Rock. And, prior to that Christ named Him "Rock" from the moment Christ called him and so did every other Apostle who spoke the Aramaic language, as Christ and most of Judea at the time. Only those who DISOBEYED the Church could be saved in her teaching.
6. She then claimed by the time of Constantine, the entire known world of Christianity had fallen away to join forces with the Pope and that was "The Great Falling Away" prophecied in 2Thess. 2:4 in 325AD.
7. For Ellen G. White, persecution and martyrdom of the Church was a good thing and the church living in peaceful times was deplorable. She would have preferred that the torture of the Christians continued than have peace.
8. In the end, Ellen G. White and the Adventist church teaches the Papacy didn't begin until 538AD according to their 1260 day prophecy, but that conflicts directly with their own writings which say the Papacy was already ruling in 325AD, which is 217 years difference. Ellen G. White writes explicitly in Chapter 3 of the book Great Controversy, speaking of the time of Constantine in 325AD less than 200 years after Christ: *"THE GREAT APOSTATE HAD SUCCEEDED in exalting himself “above all that is called God, or that is worshiped.” 2 Thessalonians 2:4. He (the Pope) had dared to change the only precept of the divine law that unmistakably points all mankind to the true and living God.* (Great Controversy Chapter 3. ….
"No such honor was given to the day by Christ or His apostles. *The observance of Sunday as a Christian institution had its origin in that “mystery of lawlessness”* (2 Thessalonians 2:7, R.V.) which, *EVEN in Paul’s day, had begun its work.* Chapter 3 of Great Controversy.
9. Lastly, her point is that Christ (God himself) could *NOT* and did not "Point mankind to the true and Living God" And, that only by Sabbath keeping could they come to know God, period.

The JEWISH disciples kept the Sabbath because before they converted to Christ , *because they were JEWS* , NOT because they were Christians. The disciples were all Jews long before they were followers or even heard of Christ and as such, were keepers of the WHOLE law, not just the 10 commandments! After the resurrection of Christ, *They worshiped Christ on the first day of the week because they were Christians! and commanded to by Christ himself. * *Jesus nor the Apostles taught Sabbath keeping to the Gentiles And, at no time did any of the prophets beginning with Moses, ever teach that the Sabbath was obligated to Gentile Nations.
What this is really all about is the APPEARANCE Sabbath keeping as a right to *claim* they keep the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments has never stood in the way of them doing or saying unspeakable evil in the name of the appearance "Sabbath keeping" . .
The bottom line is, they don't keep either the Sabbath or the 10 commandments. It' just a means of "Drawing Away" followers from other churches to feed themselves.

Because someone worships Christ on Sunday does not make him Pagan. But, it does make those who say so, "false accusers" and breakers of the 10 commandments.

God required the Priests to worship God in the morning and evening on every Sunday as well as Saturday.
If God was opposed *to red meat, wine or worship on Sunday* or any of the above, he certainly wouldn't have *commanded* his Priest to have it twice a day *in the religious worship of God*

The wine is not alcohol, it is grape juice. The animal being sacrificed daily was a lamb. That is not red meat. And I don’t see the importance of pointing out that there were two sacrifices a day. So what?

Its not than 400 years. Yeshua is like Yashua , Joshua etc. I think its best to use the right name but I know God answers our prayers. @@nicolagrant5450 Respectfully, Truth is important and always appropriate. The messiah confirms that we “shall know the truth!” We must care what the Word says, especially John 17:26. We are to think on what is true, Philippians 4:8. Truth is higher than knowledge and is a distinction that should emphasized by the believer. Elohim has allowed for the truth to be revealed and we must accept and agree to the truth, even when it is difficult to do. When the messiah came he revealed the truth and it was difficult for the Pharisees to accept but we all must repent and turn to the truth. People “think” Jesus is the messiah’s name and it simply is NOT TRUE. We must start there and accept that and know the truth and stop making excuses for an English replacement, no matter what one thinks. His grace is sufficient, however he expects us to come to the knowledge of truth, 1 Timothy 2:4.
I lately find myself more in the company of Doug Batchelor than Walter Veith. Walter has a bad habit of trying to convince us that eating meat is wrong. That when Jesus fed the masses at the lake fish. And when I start to find a preacher not keeping to the Word, I switch off. Which is sad, because I followed What's up Prof since the beginning. But he seems to be playing right into the hands of this woke idea that everone must become vegans.
