i'm pretty sure at that time B roll got traded around like baseball cards "I'll trade you my scenes of a car chase in england for your desert turks on horseback"
America had yet to join at the time he first joined. I believe he was already in England for other reasons and when the British refused him he sought out the Belgians who having lost 90% of their country were more eager for a recruit..
There's a lot of series with Australians in them. I was pleasantly surprised to hear them say "New Zealanders on the left flank" so we're in there somewhere too.
I love watching movies about the events of world war I. There were just not enough made about world war one, with Hollywood concentrating on world war two.
HOW does Indiana Jones wind up with an Australian unit, a French flying unit, a Danish intelligence unit and so on and so on, in ONE WAR? And what on earth is he doing in every single theater of the war within 4 years? Besides the logistics of traveling in those days, months at sea to reach one place on the other side of the planet and all, why is he serving in so many units? Not to mention how often he just whines and complains and takes on all the gripes of whatever position he's in. It's painful
He was in the Belgian army moved to intelligence then he transferred to French intelligence then to British intelligence then American intelligence. He did it all.
Some shots were from the light horsemen and some of those soldiers are wearing bersaglieri pith helmets. I think they just. Used what they could to make this.
no offence to my cousins across the pond but why is it when ever a fight needs winning its always, the irish, scottish, american or australians who have to tap in for the brittish xD
That's because we haven't finished our tea old chap. You fogot the Welsh, Indians, Canadians, kiwis and Africans as well , boyo. Oh and the football fans.
3:06....AND THESE AUSSIES ARE ARMED WITH GERMAN MADE MAUSER RIFLES, WHILE IN REALITY, THEY SHOULD BEAR BRITISH LEE ENFIELD 303. RIFLES INSTEAD! FOR GOD'S SAKE, YOU PEOPLE....WHY WERE YOU, SO AMATEURS IN THE MAKING OF THIS SERIES?!
2:11.....JESUS CHRIST, GEORGE LUCAS (...our half country mate - He's partially Greek)....I HAD YOU, MORE CLEVER THAN THAT! FOR GOD'S SAKE, YOU ARE USING THE WRONG PICTURES HERE! THIS ONE WAS TAKEN FROM THE MOVIE "LION OF THE DESERT" AND DEPICTS FASCIST ITALIAN ARMY IN LIBYA, IN THE '30s.....NOT THE BRITISH ARMY, AT THE DESERTS OF W.W.I! BE MORE CAREFUL THE NEXT TIME, FOR GOD'S SAKE!
...there's a TV-series about the first world war and entertaining adventures, and I have never heard of it, this cannot stand... what's this called? 02:11 - That looks like the same scene from "Lion of the Desert" - but who copied who?
At 2:14 italian bersaglieri (light infantry)...
Pretty sure the armoured cars are italian "Lancias", also.
I mean i just watched all 7 trenches parts these are really good
These all take place after intro portion of LAST CRUSADE (I think) too or just before.
@@RuralTowner cool
it was, but it ended really abruptly i thought.
Indys exploits are legendary
That's Daniel Craig as a German officer!
Many scenes are from 1987 Australian movie The Lighthorsemen
i'm pretty sure at that time B roll got traded around like baseball cards "I'll trade you my scenes of a car chase in england for your desert turks on horseback"
2:10 Damm... even the Italians joined!
Lee enfield the legend rifle
"Lawrence, Lawrence of Arabia, he's an English guy, who came to fight the Turkish,.." - from "Hollywood Knights"
Wow!
Your grandfather saw Lawrence's body? I guess that left an indelible memory.
The Main characters American but he enlisted in the Belgium army
za luftwaffle he joined because the Belgians were the only people who would accept him regardless of age. He is young a young Indiana Jones
They were only ones not bothered about his age.
America had yet to join at the time he first joined. I believe he was already in England for other reasons and when the British refused him he sought out the Belgians who having lost 90% of their country were more eager for a recruit..
A lot of Americans enlisted in the Belgian and French Armies in ww1!
@@_lordbeaker_1061 oh wait is that who it's supposed to be?

Ottoman soldiers: The what?
They shouldn’t be afraid considering gallipoli
I love watching movies about the events of world war I. There were just not enough made about world war one, with Hollywood concentrating on world war two.
Great attention to detail.
That's because in order to save money on an already expensive production they used footage from Lion Of The Desert.
The Lighthorsemen, 1987
I love these LucasLtd movies

Maybe it was us in the Eyetie gear.
(So lazy George Lucas)
Arent these just clips from "The Light Horsemen" ??
nope, different production of the same subject I think.
Some clips of the soldiers looked like Italians during WW2
Some shots were from the light horsemen and some of those soldiers are wearing bersaglieri pith helmets. I think they just. Used what they could to make this.
Yes, many clips from The Lighthorsemen.
YOUR RIGHT .
the armoured car with two mgs
And he's good in this role.
Who would have guessed Fred Elliott to be a high ranking Turkish officer?
He’s a German officer commanding the Turks
WAIT captain de Faunce was a corporal in the movie trenches of hell, same actor, same character.
Are you making humor of a somewhat humerus movie,(inhales) In Greta Voice: how dare you

"Oh My . . . Turks!"
Some not very well disguised poaching of writing from The Light Horsemen.
This used a lot of re-edited vision from The Lighthorsemen (1987)
