Absolut "Einsteiger-tauglich"..! :-)
Matteo you are THE BEST. i love your videos. Always professional with clear instructions and précise diction. 👍 Thank you so much for keeping us dreaming around this hobby. you are the real Tamiya Ambassador.
Very nice, Southern friend. Happy to see it on your channel. Was hoping for it 🙂 Must be very exciting for you, with all your previous CC-01’s. Hoping for your personal thoughts about it as the build proceeds 🙂 Happy building. I will be following.
hey my dear friend, your movie always is fantastic, I'm so excited for to next video, I would like to have the same chassis like yours, have a nice day. peace
Matteo, I was hoping that you would do this for the CC-02 Chassis. The Tyres belong in the BIN!!! 😳 They have the nice, soft 96mm Tyres from the CR-01... So much better than the VINYL CC-01 Tyres!!! Also, how much are they really saving, not including even a $10 set of Bearings?? 😯😖 Tamiya was an industry LEADER. They can honestly do better than that. I'm waiting for the Aftermarket to get going, with METAL replacement parts! First thing - Steel Chassis Rails, like a proper Crawler SHOULD have. I'm still excited about the new CC-02 Chassis. Of COURSE I could never afford one... But Tamiya has become out of touch, especially in the Crawler World. I'm looking forward to your assessment of this new Rig. So far, the MST CFX Chassis is STILL a better value for money. But I hope this does well. I'm sure with Aftermarket support, it can be... Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Hey Carmine! Unfortunately the tires are exactly the same hard shit as on the CC-01. I can not understand why they not make it better for this. I'm going directly with the MST CMX tires...
Nice, although heavily plastic but the quality of plastic look good. And when you finish assembling, would you put the cc02 to other trucks side-by-side for size comparison? 😉
I don't think Tamiya uses plastic bushings to reduce cost. Ball bearings are 10 cents each when purchased wholesale. I think Tamiya uses plastic bushings because their full name is "Tamiya _Plastic Model_ Company", and they prefer to make as many plastic parts as possible.
It depends on the wheelbase your defender has. The Tamiya defender has 242mm, the CC-02 G500 has 267 mm, so it fits not directly. You have to modify the wheelbase of the chassis.
I still prefer the CC-01 only because i has double wish front suspension. And it been around along time. But the CC-02 is more crawler and the CC-01 more mid speed to high speed
I think they keep including the plastic bushings for low end models, be cause it’s part of fun to upgrading parts for beginner builders. But obviously that’s not the case for people like you and me and many of us who owns so many RC cars. It’s bit irritating lol
Yes, this is a kit. Remote control and battery have to be bought separately. www.rcmart.com/futaba-3pv-31-channel-t-fhss-computer-radio-system-transmitter-w-r314sb-receiver-3pv-w-r314sb-00067347
Tamiya not including ball bearings in a kit that is supposed to compete with MST, Axial and others is a joke. Those bearings would hardly cost tamiya 1€ to include. Instead they expect us to buy a 20-30€ bearing kit :P I love my Tamiyas but their weird policy when it comes to bearings is just cheap. Nice video as always though Matteo. :)
Previous G CLASS from Tamiya had independent front axle (old g class had solid axle) new G class has independently front axle but Tamiya made it with solid axle. Why Tamiya?
Nice and sympathic as always in your videos ... and this was the general statement to the way you do your videos. Regarding the chassis, it's difficult for me to find some friendly words. I already built mine some days ago. To sum it up from the point of building and to the "experience of the art of engineering" of this chassis I am just disappointed. Just the most annoying points: 1. "Inserted nuts" everywhere. In my point of view very crude. Especially when the gearbox is so lazily engineered that you have to secure the nuts with little screws and washers. It was funny how the guy at Scale Builders Guild was always stating: "More nuts?" with a funny expression in his face when he was building the kit. 2. The mounts for the links on the chassis bottom. They look as if they do not want to belong to this chassis. And a perfect point to get a rock or a branch between to lock the chassis up. 3. The tie rod is simply a joke. Very flimsy and I believe it's the first item to be eliminated by an upgrade part. 4. The idea of having a lot of tiny plastic squares with those inserted nuts and to have them glued to the chassis (What ...?). 5. The sole main chassis being an assembly of five parts (w/o gearbox, aluminium chassis extensions and all the other stuff). The old chassis offered a clean, nearly seamless (with one or two little downfalls) and very integrated impression in opposite the the new CC-02 where everything seems to be not really thought through. On the postitive side: Gears are running smooth as you would expect from a Tamiya kit and the suspension seems to work well. We will see how it will compete against a MST CFX/CMX for example or other models. But this is no crawler, as many seem to understand. The CC-02 is merely for the scaler, trialer fraction. I say this chassis is heavily overengineered ... but on the bad side. I've been told at TamiyaClub that Tamiya is known to overengeineer their kits. Yes that's true and it is ok as long as overengineering goes hand in hand with esthetics. And that's what I a missing here. For me the CC-02 the little brother of the CR-01 ... as crude as. I am sorry to be so negative about that chassis but putting my bucks out for something gives me the right to be criticism, as I believe. And don't think that I am bashing Tamiya. More than 80% of my R/C's are Tamiya. Not really much to complaint.
Many thanks Martin for your extensive feedback! And yes, I 100% agree with your statement. But as Matt from Scalebuildersguild said: It's the Tamiya way, we do not understand why they things do but we love it... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hmmm this makes no sense to me. Unimog, Land Rover Defender and other cars with solid axle at the front on a chassis with independent suspension??? And a car with independet suspension on a chassis with solid axles!
Absolut "Einsteiger-tauglich"..! :-)

Nice kit.And very good job working the camera close up shots too. Thanks for sharing.Look forward to the next part of the build.
Thanks Robert! Glad to hear this! 👍😊
Nice vid as usual Matteo, I pre-ordered this rig and I will pick it up from the local shop this week! Thanks for the preview!

Find ich toll! Wünsch dir viel Spass mit deinem! 👍😊

Grazie mille! 👍😊
Waiting fore the rest of the build and the review when its running.👍
Looking good, can,t wait to see the rest of the build. Nice platform, hope the handelings are good in the terrain.
Thanks Henk! 👍😊 I think the chassis will be good, but the tires are too hard.

Good call. The MST Tires are much better!

Thanks, yes, I will do some comparison videos! 👍
I’m glad to see you Sir , May you have fun , and pleasant holidays

Hahaha, best comment ever! 😂😂 Even the chassis rails are made in plastic! Now I can understand why! 👍😂

Cool! I'm itching to build mine but I have a few more weeks as I'm still filming my Optima Turbo build. The body is amazing. Nice vid.
Thanks! And have fun with your builds! 👍😊😊
Wow. Congratulations. I am also looking forward to the driving video. 😍
Thanks! Yes, after finishing the build it will be comming! 👍
Amazing video, very interesting to thanks my friend
Thank you! 👍😊
I think it's the best time to assemble the gearbox.😁
👍😊😊
Amazing video as always, very interesting.
Will be possible to mount the awesome ABS body by Tamiya for the cc01 onthis chassis?
Thanks! Yes, I think this is possible 👍😊
@@Matteomeier I don't see any chance for mounting holes at the moment
Hey Matteo. Does the cc-02 kit come with any bearings???
No, you need to buy them seperately. 😊
Hello Matteo, so far, do you think this CC-02 is more improved than the CR-01? or the same.
It's not the same category of cars. CR-01 is a crawler and CC-02 is a scaler or trail truck.
Hi Friend
A question.
I can attach the Defender 90 body to this chassis?
It depends on the wheelbase your defender has. The Tamiya defender has 242mm, the CC-02 G500 has 267 mm, so it fits not directly. You have to modify the wheelbase of the chassis.
@@Matteomeier
Hi Matteo, thank you for the respond
I see in your videos that chassis have holes. That holes are there to modify the wheelbase??
I'm not sure at the moment, we have to check this...
Nice vidéo
Thank you! 👍😊
Curious as to how this will perform against other rigs of the same type.
Mee too! I think the chassis is well working, but the stock tires are way too hard...
hello mateo, just one question, which is better cc02 or mst 1/10?
Both are great, the CMX or CFX is more simple but better performance.
@@Matteomeier thanks matteo and thanks for your videos.
I still prefer the CC-01 only because i has double wish front suspension. And it been around along time. But the CC-02 is more crawler and the CC-01 more mid speed to high speed

Yes, it's true. But I hate to replace bearings after the model is finished, everything have to be disassebled again... 😊
@@MatteomeierOh, c'mon lol No offence, but don't we always buy the all necessary parts ahead before build the kits? Always love your work my friend.
ReturnToRClife QQ Yes , exactly like you said! 👍😄
There's no remote control in the box?!!! So how....
Yes, this is a kit. Remote control and battery have to be bought separately.

Hey Tony!
Matteo's RC Movies So is CC-02 nice?
I have been doing non-RC hobbies lately, about time to get back into some running.
Yes, CC-02 is nice and good for the restart! 👍😊

Thanks Roger. Yes, Tamiya's policy is hardly understandable, sometimes....
whats the pinion gear made off
It's made in aluminum
Previous G CLASS from Tamiya had independent front axle (old g class had solid axle) new G class has independently front axle but Tamiya made it with solid axle. Why Tamiya?
Because they made a new chassis. The target was not to create the proper scale Merc G-class.
There are 2 versions, one with esc and without esc
Matteo come to Oregon on vacation and I'll host you as well as show to you the sights
