Idk about more power from the 6.0. The lsx yes but a 6.0 ls is only around 380-400 hp. The s62 is rated 394? So for size comparison it doesn’t make that much more if any
@@mk4vws - The LS makes great power from cams and headers. Endless mods, endless possibilties on LS. The BMW, not so much. First you have to worry about VANOS issues, oil pump issues before getting power
Oh I understand but factory power they make roughly the same. Bmw gears are way longer. But yes the LS is very responsive to light mods and the bmw is way more expensive. My buddy has one and it’s got super sprint headers and ecs cat back and chip. It’s decent and pretty fast for what it is but yes everything for the LS cheaper and more plentiful
But there’s just something about that euro v8! The sound and powerband mm. Had his to 185 fairly quick but it’s governed there so it didn’t pull anymore.
Too bad those engines don't reliably last. Those revs are only going to last for a few weeks or months before new plastics, gaskets, o-rings and seals need replacing. They are just meant to rev for only a few weeks then shit goes to hell.
The e39 bmw is the best 5 series bmw ever made.

540= 4.4 v8
560= 6.0 lsx v8
