I bought my ticket in advance, and so the ticket was value-priced at $39, Newark to Baltimore.

The train reminds me a little bit of NJ Transit rail, same way, when you pay the train ride, the employee puts a paper on the chair to identify that you paid your ticket.

I never been on the Amtrack, $39 from Newark to Baltimore, not bad, maybe i'll take advantage and ride it to Boston or DC, off course with safety precautions. Did you rode this train after the beard trim?

I took this train from Orlando, Fl to NYC And back. It was a long ride but it was awesome!

That is a long time. I read the Amtrak food used to be a lot better.
Jason Rupp it was about the experience for me. On the return trip, I hung out with a marine that was returning from Iraq and two Australian girls that were on a 3 month vacation. We stayed up all night and played cards and drank some Jack Daniels that the marine had. Fun time!

Nice! Sleeper class on Amtrak is wonderful if you can afford paying 4-10 times the amount of coach. If you're like the vast majority of folks with a sense of adventure and on a budget who to travel by rail often however, roughing it in coach is is the way to go!!

$39 is a great deal!
I pay like $56 from Boston to Connecticut in March. But now I realize (After watching this video) if I would’ve booked it in advance, might’ve been like $20. However, I have to admit that Amtrak is really nice! Nice and clean, free Wi-Fi, plus they have a quiet car, that don’t allow any talking whatsoever, it’s the dead quiet. It makes Metro North feel like garbage.
And so much more comfy than a bus.

I almost did this ride last year before all hell broke loose and changed everything. This is one I plan on doing in the Summer of 2021 and it would be the next station after Baltimore Penn Station, which would be BWI Airport.
I think a lot of us are making our travel plans for 2021. 👌👌

Amtrak is one of those methods of transportation you take when you just have too much time to waste. I would never use it if I actually need to be anywhere on time tho as they are always delayed..at least the Lincoln route between STL and Chicago is.

The US has many problems with passenger train transport and it looks like it wont be solved soon as its very expensive to fix it
The northeast regional between DC and Boston is actually fairly fast, often faster than driving (especially between NY and DC) and usually on time. That’s the train he’s on.

I’ve never been on a train, I had planned to make my first train ride at the end of May to nyc for Bookcon as a test ride for October when I was planning to go back for NYCC, but obviously things haven’t gone as planned.

Try the Amtrak Acela train, it’s a pretty nice ride. It travels back and forth between Washington D.C. and Boston. Tickets are only $79 bucks if you book ahead. Business and first class only!

Every year I take the Amtrak train to my mom’s. It’s a nice 3 hour trip but I have not used the bathroom on the train so I did not see any “fudge”. 😂

Are you on the Acela train? No ... couldn't be for $39. But it looks a lot more deluxe than the Silver Meteor train I took to Florida a couple of years ago.
And what are you doing in Newark? I thought you're from New York. Do they allow you in Newark? Do they check your passport before they let you in? Or do you really live in NJ?

Baltimore philadelphia newyork i like these three cities of USA. Fantastic tour by train to Baltimore it should be included philadelphia too.

Jason Rupp get the bookmaker salad it is what they are really known for and the garlic bread is the best ever. The Veal dishes are great, the lasagna is really good and different than most that I’ve ever tasted. Shrimp Renato is also great. Enjoy if you go.
