Its mean forget it the coffin lol 😅
bobby won an emmy right when he speaks in his native tongue... that shit was epic
Bobby doesn't actually speak italian. He grew up partly in Puerto Rico and actually speaks Spanish as a second language.
For starters that's sicilian dialect, not italian. And his pronounciation is terrible. Native tongue my ass.
@@VuotoPneumaNN Lei viene dalla Sicilia?
@@VuotoPneumaNN Gyp is supposed to be a second generation Italian American
@@SantomPh Nope. There's a scene in which he speaks about living in the countryside in Sicily.
Gyp was speaking straight from the heart "who's going to own this business huh AFTER ALL THE BLOOD WE PUT INTO IT" "WHAT ABOUT US " give me your blessing but with enough juice to stick !!!!
The details in this series is mind blowing. At the 0:57 mark, an automobile is passing outside the restaurant. The sound of the engine is definitely that of the cars of that era. Great work here.
What a life-saving speech!!
You said it. The boss luved it.
@@retirednorthsider6202 the king luved it
Gyp wasn't lying, no matter what happened to him... Joe wasn't a part of it, and Lucky made sure of it in the end.
This is the moment when he decided to sing Goony GooGoo with the great big googly eyes!
Great writing, great acting, great directing.
Bobby Cannavale is such a well rounded actor. He can do anything. I love anything he's in.. he was great as GYP. He played a blood thirsty mobster so well.
Gyp being a psychopath but still has so much fear and respect for Joe
I thought it was fascinating how the only person who scared Gyp was Masseria. Gyp was a crazy psycho who never held back, except when he was in front of masseria.
Just another of many great scenes in this series👍👍👍
"Ai keel em awwl...' Ha ha! What a psycho Rosetti was.
he wanted a 3 in 1
Joe and Gyp...two Mustache Petes...even if Gyp lived past 1923, he wouldn't have survived the Castellamarese War...Luciano would've crushed them both
roede101 Facts
Ehhh, I have a feeling gyp could have survived. Sided with luciano like mangano. And even if he hadn't, they might have let them live, like they did bonnano, if he was useful.
Gyp wouldn't do that because he is egoistic.
He wants to be on top and that's the reason why he got whacked.
@Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor .....so? Bonnano was a sicilian born traditionalist who only sided with the young turks when he was absolutely certain maranzano was on the way out.
This was the only time someone actually talked their way out of a planned hit.
Gyp absolutely played into Joe’s ego here, probably kept himself from being killed right then and there, he was insane, but smart.
Masseria was fucking terrifying.
This scene is fiction, but I'm sure Joe masseria was told this by his older guys and he never listened, because he was the boss
See how the bodyguards approach when gyp raises his voice.
They could teach an acting class on this monologue alone.
Gyp is the best villain of boardwalk empire
Its Easter Sunday Joe
Also April fools
That line is so fuckin gangsta
Gyp was just a soldier not a boss. The fact that he had Nucky on the ropes shows that Nucky’s operation was LACKING
get your facts straight. he was a captain.
Rafał Krupa he was a lieutenant.capos are from 1931..
Joe Gallo was just a soldier and almost took out Profaci. A good soldier is better than a bad boss.
@@paulll264 He's a capo because he's in charge of a bunch of soldiers, but he still has a boss to answer to.
@@rhoadsgilbertfan4125 .....Damn taut.
Knows he's gonna die, tells him to do what he wants but before you do, Wether Gyp lives or dies, he drops a sales pitch.
Balls
Funny.. never mind he was gona get wacked. Gyp hated Nucky, AR etc so much that even in his "last momments" he still showed hate and warned Mas that they gona start a war. Thats when Mas realized "oh.. hate is a good tool, and a crown to go with it"
Gyp just filled in joe on Rouge waves
In season 5 Gyp was proven right in the end. Many prefer to call him an irrational maniac, but his emotional insight was greater than any of the other bosses
