Mr Williams Sir, you will be sorely missed.
Too bad a lot of people didn't realize what an absolute gift he was to the acting world before he passed away.
Chalky White has to be my 2nd fav role I have seen him in, with Omar being #1. That being said, Chalky was the role where he showed a lot more of his acting range and ability. He made you believe he was that character, no matter the situation. Ruthless, fierce... but absolutely loyal once he gave his word.
He played Omar? I had no idea.
I liked him in Hap and Leonard also.
The acting in this series was out of this world.
There's not many shows that come close.

Although I am a fan of the Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire is definitely a couple of steps above. Clearly, "the most gangster show ever."
I felt so bad for Eddie. He was SO loyal to Nucky. And yet the fate he endured in the next season....was just soo wasteful. Probably the most tragic character in the show. Even more tragic then Jimmy's son.
agreed one hundred percent
Most tragic character in show for me was Richard, the only one i teared a little bit.
Tommy threw away all the sympathy he had when he threw his life away. After all Richard, Julia, and her father did to protect him.
definitely one of the most tragic
The most tragic character was Jillian Darmody and no one else
At least Nucky grew up in a home with both parents
Jillian was an orphan...then was sold off as a child sex slave in return for Nucky becoming sheriff (after she trusted him)
Then her son got killed (by Nucky)
Then her grandson got taken away
Then she became a drug addict
Then she was thrown in jail
Then she ended up in an insane asylum...and like all early 20th century insane asylum patients she was forced to undergo sexual abuse and experimental surgeries
And the saddest thing of all is that the last person she ever knew in the outside world was Nucky Thompson...the same guy who trafficked her and then murdered her son
She writes him a letter literally saying that same exact thing...that she knows nobody else and that she remembers "Deputy Sheriff Thompson" AKA the young man who took her in when she was a homeless child
