  • Air Canada's regional E175-fleet shuttles passengers between its hubs to cities in America and small towns in Canada.
    Air Canada is the flag carrier and the largest airline in Canada by the size and passengers carried. The airline has hubs in Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, along with focus cities in Halifax and Ottawa. Regional feeder flights for Air Canada are flown on aircraft branded as Air Canada Express (previously Air Canada Jazz until they decided to retire the Jazz brand).
    The E175's 12 Business Class seats are in a comfortable 2-1 configuration. I wish more airlines would use cloth/plush seats instead of leather because it can make or break a seat.

    I flew on this plane from Toronto to Victoria, B.C back in 2012. It's a pretty small but neat little aircraft, almost feels like a private jet. The 2-2 configuration is definitely a lot nicer than the 3-3 in A320/B737, and the seats are more comfortable.

    When you get into Thunder Bay, there is a restaurant after the check-in on the ground floor, Passage is a souvenir shop, you can either fly on Air Canada Express, WestJet Encore to YYZ or Porter to YTZ, Thunder Bay has no shuttle bus on ramps just those jet bridges and also it’s all Q400, no more jet planes anymore which I love the turboprops as they’re my favourite aircraft

  • @redcomusic

    Looks like how a United Express E175 would, except a little more high tech with that seatback screen. I don't remember those glass jetways, though; my most recent flight out of YYZ was a ramp boarding into WestJet turboprop. Me having been to 4 cities in Canada multiple times and not having flown on a single AC flight is beyond insane LOL!

    Here's a tip about big airports. If you're ever connecting from big airports and they require long walks like at YYZ then i suggest bringing a skateboard. You'll be able to get around the airports easier. I do it to and it honestly helps a lot

  • @pdtravels

    Flew this route in April and I was very disappointed. We had an aircraft switch from a CRJ900 to an E175 because of a maintenance problem and then got delayed for 5 Hours with no vouchers or anything, then got delayed for 30 more minutes with no explanation.

  • @gdkid
    @gdkid Год назад +2

    Yeah about the jetbridges, I don't know why glass bridges are equally rare here in Canada, even though I don't think we have the same fire code restrictions as the US. Nevertheless, the only Canadian airports that I know uses glass jetbridges are Winnipeg (glass bridges at every gate), Vancouver (glass bridges at newer international and US gates), and of course, Toronto Pearson (shown in this video)
