Air Canada Express - E175 - Business Class - Toronto (YYZ) to New York (LGA) | TRIP REPORT

- Air Canada's regional E175-fleet shuttles passengers between its hubs to cities in America and small towns in Canada.
Air Canada is the flag carrier and the largest airline in Canada by the size and passengers carried. The airline has hubs in Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, along with focus cities in Halifax and Ottawa. Regional feeder flights for Air Canada are flown on aircraft branded as Air Canada Express (previously Air Canada Jazz until they decided to retire the Jazz brand).
The E175's 12 Business Class seats are in a comfortable 2-1 configuration. I wish more airlines would use cloth/plush seats instead of leather because it can make or break a seat.

The old AC seats are something else. So comfortable. The AC E175 is one of my favourites rides just because of the comfy old seats lol
Right! They're actually amazing!!!! The most comfortable ride
I flew on this plane from Toronto to Victoria, B.C back in 2012. It's a pretty small but neat little aircraft, almost feels like a private jet. The 2-2 configuration is definitely a lot nicer than the 3-3 in A320/B737, and the seats are more comfortable.
Nicely done. I looked to see if it was me flying that day, but I flew to a different city on Nov 11. Nice video. Glad you liked flying with us.
Cool video. I remember the first time I traveled to Toronto over 30 years ago. My friends & I flew from Newark, New Jersey. The flight was short. But I enjoyed it.
Looked like a tasty meal for a one hour regional, great!
Great trip report, thanks for sharing.
Thanks QFS !!
Great morning report!!!
bet your crew was great! honestly some of the best crew members in the express family for sure!
I always love Jazz crews they’ve always treated me very well!
Great video and report
Hi!! Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
Thank you Ronald! There’s a lot more to come!
@@QFSAviation 😀😀ok, sounds good.
Amazing video I love your videos QFS Avation
Thank you Billy!
@@QFSAviation you’re welcome
thanks for sharing :)
Kinda interesting to see what the actual Toronto Canadian terminal is like
I love the new LGA terminal they did a fantastic job considering the very miniscule amount of space they had to build it
I agree 100%. Old LGA was a hell hole. I am amazed and congratulate the team that put the new terminal together. The fear of snake lite has been eliminated!
Lol it’s nice to seeing tractor taxing a CRJ900 :))
When you get into Thunder Bay, there is a restaurant after the check-in on the ground floor, Passage is a souvenir shop, you can either fly on Air Canada Express, WestJet Encore to YYZ or Porter to YTZ, Thunder Bay has no shuttle bus on ramps just those jet bridges and also it’s all Q400, no more jet planes anymore which I love the turboprops as they’re my favourite aircraft
Kinda cool how you got a meal for a flight this short
Looks like how a United Express E175 would, except a little more high tech with that seatback screen. I don't remember those glass jetways, though; my most recent flight out of YYZ was a ramp boarding into WestJet turboprop. Me having been to 4 cities in Canada multiple times and not having flown on a single AC flight is beyond insane LOL!

I’m pretty sure this section of YYZ was brand new. Not much information online about it though 😂. The TV’s are an awesome touch, although if you’ve ever flown it you’ll know how painstakingly slow they are
there is a CTV story "New gates, pedestrian bridges to open at Pearson airport by end of the month" the project was called "Gate 193 Extension" but even then there isn't much to look at
those F gates are with jet bridges are quite new only a few years old. there is also a "express" Lounge near those gates so you can do the walk earlier and wait in there.
Yes I remember seeing that little lounge I forgot to make a mention of that! Good to know thank you!
Nice
great trip report, and those new camera angles are really cool!! Well done Quebec Foxtrot Sierra and thanks for sharing!!
Thanks!!! 😁
Another nice review. Love the complimentary meal in Business class and good legroom. I'm 6ft2in tall and weigh about 225 pounds. I would only chose b business class. Thanks Quintin😀💚
Thank you! I agree the meal is a great addition. That’s the way to fly!
@@QFSAviation thank you💚
Awesome Trip Report! Will you also be attending the Porter Airlines E195-E2 inaugural on the YYZ-YVR route?
Awesome trip reports man!! Please do a report on Bahamasair from Raleigh-Durham to Freeport, Grand Bahama
I want to do that exact flight soon! Do you know if they do a drink or snack service onboard?
@@QFSAviation Great!! You definitely should, looking forward to it. The flight also connects to Nassau, perfect getaway for a pretty reasonable fare 😌. Because of their usual short/shuttle like flights, there aren’t really any full meal services served onboard but there should be a complimentary snack and beverage service for this flight I presume.
Also there is a wall which separate U.S. and Canada at the Toronto Airport which is interesting
Interesting terminal area for regional flights bound for the U.S.
Yup Air Canada Express E175's would be Nice too travel on short to Medium Haul Routes between Canada and The USA Also I hope they'll stick around before Air Canada replaced them in the upcoming years maybe with The Airbus A220 Family Jets like The A220-100's which will be a good replacement for Air Canada's E175's since there the last E-Jets Family in Air Canada's Express Fleet also there CRJ'S and Q400's will soon be Replaced by The Hearts Aerospace ES-30's Electric Propeller Planes which Air Canada has placed Orders for already not sure when they'll be Delivered though Awesome Video QFS Aviation nuff respect to all your Videos on Aviation and Travel keep going and Dream Big on Aviation man 100%
A drone inside an airport Q? Great images kiddo!
360 camera haha! It looks like a drone though 😂
Fly to the new Kansas City International Airport sometime after March 2023!!! The new terminal will have glass jet bridges!!! Also the new terminal will replace the 1970 old replica terminals where everything is on the wrong side of security
I took this very route in 2013
Looked as if the plane actually lifted a bit on takeoff 2 or 3 seconds before the pilot rotated.
That’s interesting because here in Europe the glass air bridges are extremely common I don’t see why it’s a fire hazard lol
Me either. That’s what I was confused about when researching for this video. It has to be an outdated fire code that nobody really thought to analyze and see if it should be revised
Here's a tip about big airports. If you're ever connecting from big airports and they require long walks like at YYZ then i suggest bringing a skateboard. You'll be able to get around the airports easier. I do it to and it honestly helps a lot
I love skateboarding but unless you bring a penny board you have to lug that thing around 😂
That’s great advice for the 75 year old Canadian grandmother in transit.. Hey, thanks! 🍁
There’d be no way to get through those crowds on a board without being a total d-bag.
I live in toronto and yyz aint that big in my opinion
I know Wichita Eisenhower Airport has glass jet bridges
I am looking at the air canada website right now for flights to new york from toronto. Is an E175 the same as an E75?
Flew this route in April and I was very disappointed. We had an aircraft switch from a CRJ900 to an E175 because of a maintenance problem and then got delayed for 5 Hours with no vouchers or anything, then got delayed for 30 more minutes with no explanation.
Yeah about the jetbridges, I don't know why glass bridges are equally rare here in Canada, even though I don't think we have the same fire code restrictions as the US. Nevertheless, the only Canadian airports that I know uses glass jetbridges are Winnipeg (glass bridges at every gate), Vancouver (glass bridges at newer international and US gates), and of course, Toronto Pearson (shown in this video)
Toronto's airport would be difficult for myself and other people who have a hard time walking.
I heard Delta is restricting access to its lounge for their customers only allowing elite members instead of anyone flying first or business class.
I was disappointed to see that. Mind boggling why they’d reduce their high-status members access when anybody with an AMEX can sneak right in
@@QFSAviation let me know when you fly to Omaha. I could be working at an FBO
well, much better BC then in European BC flights from KLM, AF, LH etc! And that just for one hour!
Aye I see my crew Swissport
Did you find the seats tight? Are you a big guy?
I’m a fairly skinny and tall guy and I found the seats to be very comfortable. They’re wide too which is great.
@@QFSAviation great. What is your height and weight?
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🤠🤠🤠🤠😎😎😎😎😎
Look at my co worker’s in LGA😂
OMG, if I hear one more comment about the “underwhelming” -and FREE- food in some airline lounge, I’m going to lose my mind. If this is such a problem, I suggest that next time you visit your favorite 5-star restaurant and ask them to also fly you to your destination. I can hear them laughing already while they get on the phone to the men in the white coats.
If my observations offended you enough to write me a paragraph I suggest you find something else to watch lol
You little liberal. Get a life and just enjoy the video.
13:23 the guy's face (the one next to the chick)
Glad Canada lifted their mask mandate for public transportation
YYZ is so basic. like TO itself
I agree. Love Toronto but enjoy many Canadian cities over it
I'm curious about these Embraer commuter jets, I've never been on one. Do they hold maybe 50-60 passengers?
