Thanks for the video. I've also been looking for this. Is there any maintenance such as lubrication to the release pedal? Or the forward motor locks? Thank you!

Does it have to be plugged in in order to deploy it? I keep pressing the release pedal but the motor is not deploying?

    ... Thanks for the video.
I am searching far and wide for this answer. I ahve a post on FB Motorguide page. I searched youtube. That's how I found this video.
There must be an internal switch that connects when deploying and disconnects when retracting.
Example- Power to prop is on, prop is turning. If you were to retract the unit, when the shaft is about at a 45 degree angle the power is killed, disconnected, as you stow the TM.
Is there such a "switch"? I believe that is what is wrong with my Xi5, 36V.
    Thank you.

It is suppose to do that just remember the board is still powered when this happens it is built into the unit it’s not like a switch you can control

@@AnchorsAWeigh ... Yes, I understand, "it is built into the unit", and it connects and disconnects on it's own.
My question is, where is that switch?
I believe that is what is wrong with my TM not connecting and sending power to the foot/lower unit.
It started as an intermittent issue, as if the connection was loose. I could wiggle/shake the TM or retract and deploy the TM and it would make the connection ... sometimes.
Now, there is no power to the prop at all. Everything else works. Even AnchorLock (the head will turn being locked onto the satellites) but the prop does not turn on/rotate.
I just need to know where the internal switch is located.
      Thank you.

      Prop doesn’t turn.
It is one of 3 things
Foot pedal (can be ruled out if the same happens with remote)
      Lower unit
      Board
