- Royal Enfield have just launched their lightest, most compact and sportiest motorcycle yet with the Hunter 350! The first RE bike to feature a 17 inch front wheel, it has been designed from the ground up to rule the streets with the refinement of the J platform 349cc engine to boot. And with a disruptive pricetag of Rs. 1.5L for the Retro variant and 1.69L for the full loaded Metro variant, it is primed to do just that as the most accessible motorcycle in the Royal Enfield family. But how is it to ride? Sarge flies all the way to Bangkok to find out!

Those 17" alloys make me hope and wonder if they would retro fit the Interceptors/GTs, in which case we could finally have an answer to the front wheel alloys🙌🏻
Not sure you can retro fit them
I was hoping for the same but the disc mounting is quite different
You could change the entire front for it to fit.
@@benjohnhuidrom98 if you're swapping with the hunter front end, that would mean a downgrade to a 300mm rotor. The 650s are heavier and faster motorcycles, not an ideal solution.
You can wait for the Hunter 650, or the Shotgun 650, those bikes will be fitted with alloys.
No one talked about the bike the way sagar did. Everyone is busy and excited talking about the new features and the way the bike looks , sounds.. etc etc. But you made it the way it should have been. With all tje details pros as well as cons.. just a perfect way to describe something throughly.

@@SagarSheldekarOfficial I think what he means is the alloy wheels and modern touches. I am waiting for the upcoming 650 as it has USD, alloys, exhausts which don't strain the legs of the passenger and a better instrument cluster.
Man, the video looks brilliant. It's visually so damn well made. And ofcourse, Sarge, you never miss a beat while enlightening us about every knick and knack of any bike that you review. I love the way this bike looks. Now, I am yearning for a Hunter 650.

Great review as always👌🏼🤟🏼, just wondering, as RE has reduced the weight by a almost 14 kgs, why would the performance still be same in terms of 0-60/100? Considering the fact, this is more sportier, lighter and road friendly it should be fast.
There is a slight improvement in the performance bt this engine anyway is designed for cruising. If you hammer it you will hate it. Do like and share to help us grow

1. What does it mean to have 17 inch wheels in the front?
2. Can i put clip on handles and single seat to make it look like a cafe racer (like continental GT650)?
17inch wheels mean you are better connected to what the front is doing, makes for a more nimble motorcycle. I think this platform is great for customization as well. Will look cool as a cafe racer
07:37 maybe the heat you're feeling was because of the foot pegs position since the Hunter has a more sporty position opting the riders to close their legs nearer the engine unlike with the Classic with a more laid back riding position.

Hi Sagar dada , great video , very attractive looking bike 😍. do you feel the need of 6th gear on highway runs?
It's similar to the classic 350. Meant for cruising all day comfortably at 90kmph

Great review as usual and good lord, what a beautiful bike the Hunter is, but just one point of concern from my end to the videography team- towards the 11ish minute mark when you start with your closing remarks, I could notice lens flare creeping in, specially when the angles were panning side to side as you were talking. Maybe, that could be taken care of in the next videos as to some it could bring down the visual quality of the video.

Great review as always. Atleast from the review, specifications and pricing, it seems to be a promising product from RE. Hope they have addressed the quality and refinement issues which the previous gen RE’s had. My cousin’s standard 350 which was purchased last year is a disaster when it comes to quality.
This is a big step up in terms of quality. Looking forward to testing one long term to verify this. Do like and share

Welcome SARGE its a delight to see you reviewing this fresh new piece of iron , what i noticed was the wheel base should have been a few millimetres more so that the bike would have been more proportionate and the exhaust design would have been better in terms of looks else meteor engine very smooth one and your review smoother than that❤

Test rode it, good price point but that engine, gearbox arent meant for this avatar. The frame though i feel is quite capable and the stability is great.
But the stiffness of the suspension even on good roads is going to keep many of us away!! Loved the triumphish looks though.

A good looking motorbike that is under-powered for the US market. It's fine for around town, but seriously dangerous on the highway in southern California. My local RE dealer has a bunch of these, and he said sales are slow. He's hoping they decide to bring in more of the 650 twin models soon.

That point you made about the engine is so important! I've been looking at a few models for months now to get my first own brand new motorcycle. At this price point and looks I would've bought this one without thinking if it weren't for the cruiser leaning engine.

Which one would you suggest between Ronin and Hunter ?
I love going on long rides on weekends so I need something which works both in the city and on the highway in around 2 lakhs rupees.
Thats a pickle because because the hunter has the better engine and Ronin the better suspension setup
That's why I need your opinion.

Bangkok sure is quiet where you were riding, my experience with Bangkok is it's gridlock even if you're on a moped especially near Koh San and the Sukhimvit District.
I love the design but I'm not getting one because urban jungles tend to lead to speedy highways in my city and if 120 kmh is the limit then it's not enough to get past trucks and buses quickly enough for overtaking to be practical or safe. Was hoping for it to have a bit more punch in the lower gears and possibly top out at 150kmh but what we have is another beginner 350 from RE to compliment the other 2. A wasted opportunity really, RE could have really done a lot better.
There's however always the next bike or the 650cc class.
This motorcycle wasnt targeted for you but for first timers looking to buy a RE bike that is young, light and unintimidating to ride. RE has other variants of the 650 in the pipeline which will better suit your needs.

Little to my surprise Sarge!! I was watching you video while waiting for my turn for test ride of this bike on the showroom 😂. Had a concern for the ground clearance, but i was more than happy to know that it's not a concern even after riding with a pillion. Anyway as always great review. The only one matters no less. Great review , honest first impressions which RE will not rectify for couple of years , This bike will bring down the market value of the other 250 to 350 cc bikes and will also devalue the resale price of older classic 350.
